Have had breakfast here before, and it was very good. It was before they were closed and reopened. I had the huevos rancheros and it was soaked in water from the salsa I don't know how they call that huevos rancheros. It was just a wet runny salsa with onions that aren't even grilled no flavor at all the tortilla was not cooked and was soaked in water and mushy , no cheese, the menu says two cheese on the huevos rancheros Totally a bad breakfast. Food is mid and service is horrible! A waitress refilled her table's coffee needs but skipped us. We had to ask her to get our waiter to refill our coffee. Yes, our waiter never checked on us. He took our order, dropped our food, and then dropped our check. Another server dropped the card reader machine and that was that. The worst of all is that they have dog images everywhere in their establishment but they are NOT DOG FRIENDLY! Went for the first time this weekend after church. There was a 20-minute wait for the inside, so we chose outside since there were open tables available. It was cold and there was an outside heater with 2 sources or output, we asked If they could turn it on and they said it was broken so we asked if maybe they could turn it a bit to get some of the heat and the waitress told us no, it was for the other customers next to us. My mother questioned that we were customers as well, and she rolled her eyes, kicked the heater towards us, and then sent us a new waitress for the remainder of our meal. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, and eggs were cooked well. Biscuits were simple, and the gravy was sweet, not savory as gravy usually is with the addition of sausage. The passion fruit mimosa was really good. The only reason I gave 2 stars was that once our server was changed, we had attentive service. read more

Braxton's is located in a large plaza close to stores like Big Lots and Trader Joe's. There's a lot of outdoor seating as well - you can't miss it. One thing that I noticed right away was the strong dog culture - pictures, coloring pages, a cute dog emblem on their water and coffee cups, and even a dog menu. If you have a puppy, definitely consider coming here! The place was popping when I got here on a Saturday morning. Luckily, since I was on a solo date, I was able to grab a seat right away. I ordered coffee and a chicken sandwich (which is apparently different from the chicken club). Coffee was good. My side of tater tots was absolute perfection. The sandwich was pretty solid, although it did take some time to arrive (understandable, considering how busy the place was). Service was great! The man who served my food (who appeared to be the manager) gave me a discount for giving me the slightly wrong order (a chicken club instead of a chicken sandwich). I really appreciated the gesture and bumped by 4 star review to 5 stars. Give Braxton's a try! Especially if you love good service and doggos. read more

I've reviewed Braxton's before but want to update. The BEST pink lemonade around. French toast, pancakes, grilled cheese, waffles, and fries are phenomenal. My reactive dog loves the patio and the incredible waitstaff. They're patient and kind with him and really make the experience easy for him. He loves their meat rice and veggies bowl. Service is quick and very friendly. Waitstaff recognize us and are consistently outstanding. I can never stop recommending this place. Wish I could rate more than five stars read more

Perfect crisp combined with the perfectly seasoned tuna filling. Tots were a great pairing ! Dulce de Leche pancakes- had a side order of scrambled eggs with it and so glad it was serves on a separate plate so it didn't mix with the syrup. The flavor on this was light but delightful. Guava mimosa - this must be one of my favorite flavors with champagne now cause it is still calling my name! Pineapple mimosa - it wasn't my favorite but it can be enjoyable if you like pineapple. The avocado toast is pretty good. This is yet another restaurant that serves it on toasted sourdough making the crust much too hard to cut through or bite through. The peanut butter blitz was very good. They add an egg surcharge these days, I feel it's not necessary anymore especially with the prices they charge in the first place. read more

In the area for the 4th of July, the restaurant was one of the few open for breakfast so we called in a pick up order. Couple notes: We ordered the breakfast burrito bacon which was decently priced at 14.95 but they didn't mention a $1.00 egg surcharge. We also ordered the Bluebell's Breakfast Burger, I'm not the biggest fan of sausage so I asked to substitute it with a burger patty which the man I talked to on the phone said it was going to be $2.00 extra. When I arrive to pay I wasn't expecting to pay $6 for the burger patty substitute (that's the price of an entire burger at some places) & a total of $2 in egg surcharges. Maybe if the staff had been more upfront on the call I wouldn't be so upset, but the owner apparently endorses charging $6 for a burger patty. I doubt I will be coming here again, no one likes getting hit with hidden fees. read more

My family and I stopped by for breakfast. The cafe is super cute and full of dog things which I loved! I got the breakfast burger, personally it was super greasy for me :(. My husband devoured it but I personally couldn't. My kids loved the chicken tenders with tater tots. I really liked the tater tots. I think that was the best part for me. Nice, tranquil setting amid one of Camarillo's strip malls, Braxton's Kitchen serves up some very good breakfast/brunch/lunch grub. We descended upon Braxton's around 2:00 on a Sunday afternoon, and while still crowded, we were able to easily find an outside table. Loving the cool 75 degree temp while most of SoCal was battling high 80, low 90 temps today. My husband ordered a classic breakfast, which included 2 eggs (he chose scrambled egg whites), 2 pieces of bacon (although he requested sausage instead), and 2 buttermilk pancakes that came with a smattering of fresh berries and dusted with powdered sugar. I, on the other hand, was in a lunch mood, so I ordered their tuna melt (but without the grilled tomatoes... simply not a fan) and got French fries (with ranch dressing, of course). Portions were quite substantial, and I could only eat 1/2 of my sandwich and most of the fries. Plenty left over for another meal. My husband ate everything but had to leave 2/3 of the pancakes... lots of food. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We always love going to Waypointe Cafe but HATE battling the crowds. It's nice to know we now have an alternative to getting really good food (very similar menu, too). Admittedly, I still like Waypointe a bit better, and in fact, I usually get a tuna melt from Waypointe, so I can compare apples to apples, BUT.... I like the ease in which we can deal with Braxton's better. This place should not be overlooked, and for us, well worth returning to !! P.S. Came in here by chance am glad I did. Greeted immediately by kind staff and sat down. I love breakfast burritos with Pico and this place exceeded my expectations. Most places just fry the eggs, but these look like they were carefully scrambled and just perfect. Avocado is a nice touch as well. Great presentation, great food, great people. read more

This place was recommended by a manager, and I was nearby with some coworkers when we were off our overnight shift, so we decided to give it a try. The food wasn't bad, we all enjoyed our food. The mimosas were a hefty size for only $10. Our server was very nice. But OMG, if all of us didn't get awful food poisoning later in the day. One coworker called out for the night, and I definitely wasn't feeling great by the time our shift started. We all work overnight, so after breakfast, we went straight to sleep. Prices have really gone up. Food was ok, not great. There are no grilled sandwiches on the menu, just toasted. Dressing on the Asian Chicken Salad was bland and tasteless. BBQ chicken sandwich, which had a nice BBQ sauce on it, was ruined by the addition of mayonnaise. And the waitress comes to the table with a handheld device she doesn't let go of as you pay and choose the tip. Obnoxious choice by the owner to handle transactions like this. The first time I came here was in Fall of 2021 with my boyfriend for some breakfast. It was a weekday early in the morning so naturally it wasn't too busy. We ordered mini waffles as well as the avocado toast. Since this was a while ago, I don't remember too much about the visit but I remember us being very happy with our experience! I always told my mom that if she came down to the Camarillo area then we should go try it. A few weeks ago, exactly that happened. My mom and I were in the area so I recommended that we check out Braxton's kitchen for brunch. Unfortunately, we showed up a little later than we wanted to on a Saturday so naturally it was a little busy. My mom was a little displeased because she felt that the tables were being flipped really slowly which was contributing to the wait time. After about an hour, we were seated. We ordered a megamosa, mini waffles, and chilaquiles (asked for medium spice). When we received our food I asked the server for some extra sour cream on the side. Those chilaquiles had a nice kick to them! My mom is all about spice and was initially displeased I asked for the medium but was ultimately satisfied with the spice level. They were also very tasty! I had eaten them slowly anticipating the arrival of the sour cream but after about 15 minutes, I figured it wasn't coming so I ended up asking another server if we could have some. The mini waffles were soft and the fruit on top was perfect. The megamosa was a great size to share between the two of us. Overall, the food was very good! My only complaints were just regarding the wait time and sometimes we felt sort of neglected where we were sitting by the service. Wanted to try something new and support a local business, family of 4 decided to check out Braxton's Kitchen. Place was super busy, seemed like a good sign, front of house could use some review as it took about 5 min or so to get noticed to put or names down for a table. 15-20 min wait, all good. One of the main reason we wanted to give this place a try was the online menu had quite a few vegetarian/vegan breakfast options, which was pretty awesome. We got seated and started checking out the menu and couldn't seem to find all the options we saw online, confirmed with the server restaurant is under new management and the web site hadn't been updated in a few years, bummer!!! Still wanted to make the best of the situation, we placed our order, families food came out in a reasonable amount of time, my order took quite awhile for some reason. The family was pretty much done with their breakfast by the time the Mushroom Burger I ordered came out. My order was ok at best, fries were really good and the family had the same review as me, food was ok nothing amazing to write home about. At the end of the day I could have over looked quite a bit but for the prices being charged I expect more. Experience was average, food was average but expensive. I have come by this area a few times now (notably for Camarillo cupcakes), and saw there's always a crowd here. Now finally having the time to come here for brunch, and it's definitely worth it. We got the "larger" mimosas, soyrizo burrito, and the tres leches pancakes. The mimosas were made fresh with orange justice and a newly popped sparkling wine. The soyrizo burrito had the right amount of spice and was definitely filling. The highlight was definitely the pancakes! They were so soft and light and absorbed the flavor of the tres leches syrup was so good. The strawberries and whipped cream added nice finishing touches to it to really complement the pancakes. Service was good and prices were fairly comparable of other nearby establishments. If I am in the need of another brunch in the area, I will definitely be back. read more

Traveling up the 101 freeway and was delighted when I saw a restaurant popped up as "The Best Breakfast and Lunch" in our Tesla navigation. Could it be another hidden gem that I haven't discovered yet? Well... since you see that I only gave it a 3 star review, you can tell that it was not the best breakfast that rocked my world. To start off, waitress took forever to come get our order, then after waiting 30 minutes for our avocado toast and Cam Cowboy, our side order of sunny side up eyes took another 5 minutes to show up. The guacamole on the avocado toast was too sour to my liking, and the Cam Cowboy is a sandwich that was required a steak knife. There was so much tendon in the "steak/patty" that my boyfriend looked like an animal mauling his food at the zoo. I would say this is a decent family breakfast spot, but definitely not something that can be acclaimed as "Best" in my book. read more

This establishment has a kind courteous staff and great service. The ambience is very chill with cool pictures of Bentley in the walls. I ordered Bentley's Crispy Chicken Sandwich with tater tots. I HIGHLY recommend this sandwich. I'm convinced this is the best chicken sandwich I've had in a very long time. The chicken is crisp on the outside and very tasty and tender on the inside with a perfect combination of fresh condiments added. Happened into this place while shopping at the outlets. Let me say, the owners and all the staff were amazing. The food was excellent. I had the Pesto Chicken Sandwich - DELICIOUS. My husband had the club. He commented on how fresh the bacon was and both of us loved the sour dough bread. The french fries were amazing and I also enjoyed my side salad. Sunday Breakfasts are the best! On a warm, sunny Sunday I met up for breakfast with my friends at this spot. Coffee was needed STAT upon arrival it arrived quickly and did not disappoint. The menu has great options to choose from but is not overwhelming which is greatly appreciated. I decided on the French Toast served with blueberries and strawberries on top. This dish is not served with sides so I ordered a scrambled egg and bacon to make it a complete meal. The French toast was fluffy, soft and I appreciated the sprinkling of powdered sugar. I despise hard, crispy, dry French toast and I am happy to report they do not serve that here. My friends were all happy and satisfied with their breakfasts. 3 of us ordered the French Toast, 1 ordered the Breakfast Poutine and 2 ordered the Classic Breakfast. Each dish was flavorful and delicious. There was definitely no complaints from our group. The coffee refills kept flowing and kept us happy (no coffee would be dangerous). They were very busy obviously due to popularity and good food. However the waitstaff, cooks and Manager/owner were all working hard and efficient. It was a well oiled machine cranking out those plates. With post-pandemic food service industry issues experienced as a norm it seems anymore that is NOT the case here. The standards set in place are maintained and provide great service. This restaurant has not forgot about man's best friend. It is pet friendly and you can enjoy sitting outside with your furry friend. They have menu items to treat your pup to as well. Your dog will be happy and content right alongside you.
