What a neighborhood gem! The pizzas here are loaded with toppings and flavor. There are so many specials on the menu that all sound delicious. We went with chicken pesto and mission special. Just grabbed the one topping pepperoni special and this one hits ! For $11.99 this is a very delicious pizza and a good deal, not very greasy, the pizza sauce is smooth and rich and the dough is pretty well baked and fluffy. We called for pick up and it was quick and easy. Super friendly staff, and plenty of tables to dine in. No outdoor seating here, but I believe they can deliver to certain locations. You can see the pizza makers making the dough/pizza in front and at the window if you're outside. Awesome spot and recommend giving this spot a go ! read more

I grew up coming to bravos as a kid and felt more recently the food was not like I remembered it so I was excited to see new ownership. Overall it was an okay experience. First, their website has coupon specials but when I asked about them in store, they did not honor them. Had I known I would've just ordered online and picked up my food and saved myself at least $7 on toppings. We ordered a pepperoni and garlic pizza and were disappointed to see almost all cheese with a sprinkling of pepperoni especially knowing we were charged for each topping separately and couldn't use the coupon from online. We paid for bottles waters and then saw another table get a pitcher of water so disappointed knowing we paid $2.50 per water bottle. We also ordered a side of French fries that were not brought out until 35 minutes after we ordered. Mind you, this was after we had finished our entire pizza. The Walls are very white with the exception of the large mural that looks like they're going to add more to so I look forward to seeing that finished. Attention under new management and I appreciate the owners wants to bring the old school Bravos pizza back and it taste like how I had it in high school. I order the large pepperoni pizza and it brought me back to high school. Fluffy crust, generous cheese, great sauce and pepperoni not overwhelming but in every bite at a special price so I'm not going to complain but it let me know that their regular pies are going to be Very good and very bravos. the interior is clean with large TV to watch games. Just like many of the recent reviews, this is my breakup with Bravo after many years as a loyal customer. This place used to be our family's go-to pizzeria for the XL JTG Special. But tonight was the worst experience--first, when I arrived to pickup, there were two guys behind the counter (one seemed to be relaxing and having a drink while the other casually made a pepperoni pizza) who insisted that they were super busy and backed up. Really? And they said to come back in 30 minutes! It was incredibly inconvenient to go home and come back. But I did. And then when I got home the pizza looked horrendous, like nothing I've ever had from Bravo. I had ordered thin crust. This was NOT thin. Most of my XL pizza was basically crust! And then when I took a bite, it was soooo salty. It was inedible--and this was supposed to be my dinner. And now I'm hangry. I don't know if they got new ownership with their name change, but sadly I will no longer be ordering pizza from Bravo. It's sad because it is in the neighborhood and it used to be high-quality. This is not a yelp review this is a break up letter :( Bravos Pizza you have been my local pizza place all my life. I seen you grow and I loved your pizza and it hurts writing this but you have disappointed me for the last time. I would forgive you if it was a niner game Sunday or even a warriors play off game night but to deliver my cold burnt pizza on a random Thursday is not cool and to show up 2 hours after I placed the order dam that hurts. I should have just gone to pick it up at your place but I was too tired and I had my kids here. The staff is very nice the girl I spoke to a total sweetheart. When I called the 2nd time to ask where is the pizza i ordered 2 hours ago she was apologetic and I think she came to deliver my pizza personally. But I can't forgive that burnt crust. The service here is friendly, and the food is good. I've been going to Bravo since 1996. I was worried about the new ownership and how it might change the taste of the pizzas. I noticed the tomato sauce is very slightly more sour, but for the most part it tastes similar enough to the old pizza. If it could taste exactly the same, that'd be awesome too. I've been going to Bravo's for years, but my most recent experience was extremely disappointing. I placed an order yesterday for an extra-large Combo/Pepperoni and a small cheese pizza. The girl who took my order spent nearly 20 minutes on the phone, apologizing several times because she was new. The delivery itself took an hour and a half to arrive. When the food finally showed up, it was completely wrong. The "small cheese" came in a medium box, and instead of the extra-large Combo, I received a medium pizza with only salami and onions. I immediately called back, but no one answered until my fifth attempt. When I finally reached someone named James, he told me I would need to call back the next day for a refund because only the manager could authorize it. The next day, I called back as instructed. James first told me to call in an hour. When I did, a lady told me the manager had stepped away and to try again in 10 minutes. After another round of calls, I finally reached the manager, who simply told me: "I'm not giving you a refund because you ate the pizza." This is completely unacceptable. James could have resolved this immediately by sending a replacement pizza instead of pushing me to call back the next day. Instead, I was met with delays, rudeness, and zero accountability. The owner, Pete, was disrespectful and dismissive. I feel robbed of $72 dollars The whole point of delivery is to not drive back to them and I wasn't going to look at the pizza as a decoration. The staff and pete play games and they know what they are doing. Restaurant SCAM I've supported Bravo's for years, but after this experience, I can't justify returning. read more

I've never eaten here as a kid but I've always seen it and passed by (daily bus stop to/from school). After seeing an article in the Mission Local, and that there were newly renovated/new ownership, and still being local to this neighborhood, my family decided to stop by for a couple of take out pizzas. Called in and the person taking orders was super nice and helpful. At pick up, there was some confusion about the order/price but the cashier was able to figure it out quickly and we were on our way. We were thrilled to know they were running a special on some of their pizzas so it turned out to be a great deal on dinner. So far we've had the pepperoni and pesto/pepperoni. Both great, no complaints. Glad to have a close local pizza spot in the neighborhood. Parking is challenging, so we usually do take out, one person goes in and the other drives around the block. read more

If you're a long time resident/native to San Francisco. This establishment was one of the best for many decades. Their pizza was delicious, they were generous with their toppings and the size of their pies. This place is now under new owners who when asked if they still made the pizzas the same stated that they do and after discussing with my family if we wanted to give it a try ultimately the choice was to give it a shot. I ordered several pies to ensure there was enough for everyone and to try a variety of flavors to see if at least the same taste was still with the place. The man who took my order seemed to unfortunately not know how to input my order. Seemed very confused as to what I wanted and even repeated multiple times one pizzas toppings. After giving my order I spoke to my family and we decided to add a fourth pizza which normally isn't an issue but I'm glad we did because apparently the person who initially took my order did not input it correctly to begin with. Upon getting to the restaurant our food was not quite ready which wasn't an issue since I had a last minute addition. I happen to glance at some of the pizza being boxed. I wasn't too optimistic with what I seen but I held my pessimism to the side until I bit in. The inside of the building is remodeled, gone are the tattered and torn booths and chairs. Replaced by standard tables and chairs. The celebrity signed images are gone and trophies from years of awards and family prizes etc. the interior repainted. It's been somewhat upgraded but also feels like it lacks the charm the old place once held. The employees behind the counter are not wearing hair nets. And the man who took my payment did not wash his hands after touching the register before returning to the kitchen area to continue making pies. I did not once see anyone wash their hands. Im not one to judge someone's looks but the unkept dreads and missing teeth. Safe to say I am hoping the heat of the oven killed anything that could harm. After getting our order we went out to the car to finally indulge ourselves in Bravos. Well, it just isn't the classic style my family knows Bravos for. No over whelming amount of cheese. Toppings above the cheese. And the once very large pies are now not so big. While the food is not bad. It's no longer the bravos we once knew and grew up with. Will I be going back? Unfortunately no. While good enough to eat, it no longer sets itself apart from the usual other pizza joints in the city. It no longer has the old Bravo Charm. It is unfortunate but for the cost of what was charged ($160 for 4 pies) the quality felt more like $100 max. Including with the lack of handwashing and hairnets. All in all staff was friendly, confused and fairly fast. If you want a decent pie to get you by. Sure this place is for you. If you're looking for the original Bravo pizza? The previous owners were the absolute best and were a reason we ordered this pizza every single week for over 30 years! When my grandparents passed away and my family had to sell our family home and move away from the city in 2014, the previous owner Panagiotis "Pete" Sotiropulos gave us our usual order free of charge(including the free cokes on top of the free food) and told the delivery driver to not accept a tip. my dad pleaded with the driver to take the tip but said pete had compensated him for it already. that is absolute class and the reason we went for so long. never has ANY business especially a food business treated my family with such respect. it honestly gets me a little emotional thinking about it. but sadly before covid hit pete sold bravos probably looking to retire after a long and epic run as the best pizza place in sf for over 30 years. The new owners who took over a little before covid suck. at first it wasn't too bad, it was still 90% bravos. but this latest visit a few days ago was horrid. Why renovate the inside and not put in any a/c at all. It was over 90 degrees inside and was hell to eat inside. let alone the fact no one was in there. this place used to be packed every single night. I don't know if the 3 toothed meth head at the counter is the new owner but he runs the place and my god. dude didn't once wash his hands touching the register, phone, scratching himself and everything else. they don't wear hairnets or gloves. the other guy in the place who cooks and delivers the pizzas i said hi to when I was walked in as he was boxing pizza and he look up at me and said "what did you say" and i replied back "how's it going" he just looked at me and didn't say anything and walked away. dude had dreadlocks too and no hairnet, looked more meth'd out than any tweeker in haight & ashbury. same thing with the 3 toothed guy running the place, looked like they had been smoking meth between making pizzas. you would think if you only had 3 teeth left you would baby them a little. not this guy lol. the pizza was alright but now its like 80% bravos, the toppings are completely different then they used to be. crappy pepporoni, they skimp on the cheese now instead of piling it on like classic bravos, the mushrooms were over the cheese and not under. we actually got a pizza the year before and they still did that with the mushrooms but as time goes on they just get worse and worse. the pizza too has gotten so freaking greasy over the years and it never used to be this way. the way they cook it is different too. also the final straw was the crust, bravos always had the biggest and thickest crust imaginable and it was that way even after being sold but recently their crust is just like any other. bye bravos and r.i.p. to the guy that made bravos truly what it was Panagiotis "Pete" Sotiropulos and f the new owner, i hope you rot. sorry not sorry I always hit below the waist and this review couldnt sum it up any better! go to venice pizza down the street, still the same and far better! read more
