I just came into the Mountain Mike's here in Daly City. Mama Mia!!! I wish I had stopped by earlier. This place was super welcoming and is one of the few sit down pizza places left in the bay. Super Nostalgic!!! The employee Dave was incredibly engaging. We struck up a conversation and talked about the fundraisers that they do. It's great to see local restaurants actively helping out their community! We ended up setting up a fundraiser through my non profit Robo Dojo Stem Academy. It was my first time ordering Mountain Mike's and of course we were excited. I got the the Robbers Roost , with white sauce with the following add ons- Garlic, Pineapple, Diced Tomatoes, Chicken, and Spinach. The pizza was right on time, and was still super out of the oven hot. The pizza was good , but I was wondering if they gave me chicken or something else. Walking in, dude just staring. No greeting, no words said. But that's whatever, I don't care too much since I'm only here for take out. Ordering online made it very easy so I tell him my name and he handed me the pizzas and I was off. Initial thoughts, the mountain size pizza was huge. You can see in my photo for the size comparison between a large and a mountain. It's the Costco sized pizzas. Satisfying but the price paid was definitely not Costco prices. They cut the mountain slices so small for 20, I feel kind of scammed. For pizzas, we ordered the Pineapple Chicken Luau and Everest. They were good and cooked well. I think the Pineapple Chicken could have used more sauce because it was a little dry. Something about that pizza didn't taste like your regular hawaiian and I'm not sure I 100% prefer it.. I was excited to finally have a MM pizza shop near my home. The problem is I don't go out much and prefer to have food delivered. So 3 different days at no peak hours I called ready to order some hot pizza. Each and every time I was on hold for several minutes without a human being picking up the phone. What I found that added insult to injury, is that the recording kept saying"the fastest way to order is to go online". I know this generation is different but I still like to talk about my order with a real human being. just gives me a sense of security. Pineapple and pepperoni = yum! My husband and I usually get their small pizza to share and it's the perfect amount for us. The pineapple and pepperoni combo is our favorite. It's flavorful and has a good amount of red sauce. We've gotten it a few times now and it hasn't disappointed. We've also tried just their pepperoni pizza and it was a bit salty with just pepperoni since they load up on toppings. It needed the pineapple to balance it out. We've also tried their home fries which are potato wedges. The flavor is okay, but it could be fried more/more batter. We'd probably skip this in the future. I felt like it was a good thing that I already knew what I wanted.   It got pretty busy with the line behind me and a lot of people picking up phone orders.     We ordered: 1.  Medium Pike's Peak Pizza (meat lover's) -  I wasn't too impressed with this.   The dough tasted like it wasn't cooked all the way through.  The huge slice of ham or whatever it was, was too much. It almost felt like a sandwich 2.  1/2 Hawaiian and 1/2 Pepperoni and sausage- simple yet tasty 3.  Mozzarella sticks - It wasn't cooked,  outside looked like it, but cheese inside was a block and not melted at all 4.  Loaded Mountain Fries - This was well cooked, edges s little burnt.  Nothing special. It tasted like cheesy potato wedges 5.  Churros - This was good,  I wished each piece was coated with cinnamon and sugar 6. Garlic not-knots - very cheesy and tasty 7.  Jalapeno not-knots - if you like spicy, this is for you.   It has jalapeños on top and inside with the cheesy goodness.   This had my nose running     The food and service weren't bad.   Maybe I just ended up going on an off day when they were super busy. I have been to multiple mountain mikes all over the Bay Area. And this is the first location where I had the most unpleasant experience. I had placed my order online for in store pick up. And when I arrive in store, the front cashier (Skyler) was already extremely rude and seemed impatient. Then I go home to find out Skyler gave me the complete wrong order! I then call the restaurant back to get my correct order. Instead he gaslights me on the phone asking me why I'm so mad that I brought home the wrong order... ????? So then I go back to the store to pick up my order and he offers me store credit for my troubles only to come up with an excuse later on that he can't do that. It was empty when I arrived, but a lot more people started to come a little later. Obviously, since they're known for their pizzas, I knew I had to get some! The pizza was nice and hot and I liked the variety they had. Their lunch buffet deal is on weekdays from 11am-2pm during the month (January) when I went. The buffet is stocked with a variety of pizzas. They make their pizzas and dough fresh everyday and the salad bar has a nice variety of veggies to build-your-own salad! I also added their new Garlic Not-Knots to go with my meal too and it was so good and cheesy! I'd recommend this place! Came here for a business lunch and it did not disappoint! The pizza was good! Not oily like Pizza Hut or Dominos. Had the veggie one myself, but everyone was satisfied with a number of the other menu items. Pradeep was very kind and accommodating. When asked for a small ranch, he gave an entire tub worth for everyone to share easily. He made sure we had plates, parm & peppers, and to-go boxes after. I'm so thankful that Mountain Mike's has a pizza that my daughter can have. She has allergy to gluten, wheat, dairy so normal pizza is something she can't have. However they have a gluten free crust and gluten free cheese. You can call ahead or place an order through the app. I usually place an order on the phone because we have to be sure of the allergies. My family loves the pizza and find ourselves coming back every so often. The cost isn't terrible as other places but having that option for those with allergies is a huge plus. If you don't have allergies, don't sleep on their specialty pizzas. I haven't tried one that I haven't liked. But my go-to is the new BBQ at the Ranch, or the Chicken Club. As we were staying in a hotel Dan Fran, our legs were killing us from all the walking wed done during the day, so we opted to order Pizza from a local place. My partner won't do anything under 4.5, so we looked for the best pizza in Daly city that wasnt a huge chain. Don't sleep on Mikes! Thats a good everything pizza! I've known about them for a long time, back in the '90's when they opened their Belmont location on El Camino Real. Asking friends who've tried them, I got positive recommendations about their food. My brother and I agreed to give them a try for a Saturday family dinner but, when my foot/ankle bothered me, I tried to order a delivery but learned our home is out of their service area. My first time trying MMP and was not disappointed! I ordered: 1) The McKinley - The McKinley is a traditional combination pizza. It includes pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, black olives, bell peppers, onions and diced tomatoes on a classic red sauce.
