    Calzone
    Michael S.

Came for the calzone, returned for the pizza. Good calzones are surprisingly hard to find around here - especially of the vegetarian variety. Chose the personal size Creamy Garlic Veggie Calzone with garlic sauce, mozzarella, ricotta & feta, spinach, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, garlic, olive oil, and parsley. Yes please may I have another. Really enjoyed. But dang I had ordered online and when I came in for pickup the lonely cheese-forward slices just sitting in the glass case were calling to me. Nothing special but I take out all the time and sitting in the restaurant for hot crispy-crusted slices fresh out of the oven was just so tantalizing. The location is a little random but there's dedicated pizza parking right in front so I didn't have to battle the gym customers for a spot, which I had feared. The restaurant looks nice enough inside but it could have used a more lively atmosphere with beers and games on more tv's, or some music, or some something. The space is also surprisingly large and the staff was a little gruff. All good though. Good food conquers all. Came back yesterday and the slices really hit the spot, as expected. I sat at the bar seating facing the window to the parking lot and kicked a long ladder under my feet being stored there so there was that. In truth is the North Beach crust my fave? Naw, it doesn't taste and was a bit thick and chewy but I liked the sauce and cheese. It was just such a luxury to take a few minutes just to enjoy. I scorched my mouth but the slices were plenty worth it. I work nearby so Ima come back.

    A personal calzone

Was getting my car serviced and needed a place that was within walking distance where I could grab lunch. North Beach Pizza came up in my search results so I crossed the street and came in. There was no lunch crowd so I was able to immediately go to the counter, get my order placed, and grabbed any table I wanted. The guy brought me some plate and silverware and even a cup of ice water. I had ordered a personal calzone (garlic veggie flavor) which took about 10-15 minutes to come out as they make it fresh to order. For a personal size, I was shocked by how large it was - see my picture for reference. Half of it was more than enough to fill me up, but at least you're getting your money's worth! The calzone was perfectly baked with a nice crispy, yet soft crust. I was a fan of the ingredients inside as well - if you like white sauce, garlic, and veggies, this is the choice for you. It comes with a side of marinara sauce, which I didn't like as much - the sauce tasted like minestrone soup without the broth. It came with chunks of cut up veggies, which is typically not what I think of when I think of marinara. The flavor was still good, although I preferred to eat the calzone without it. When it was time to go, the guy boxed up my uneaten half for me and it made for a great meal the next day.

Cool, quiet spot accessible to the freeway and available parking lot. Open late on weekends. Good amount of tables to dine in. Pizza and wings were good. Value is ok; cheaper if you have cash, otherwise there'll be a credit charge. Staff was nice.

Back in the 1990's, we used to go to their original Grant St. location when they still had the brown booths. Fast forward to now, there's a Daly City branch. Currently, there's a promotion on their website, to-go only, large three topping pizza for $30, plus $1.50 hidden fee. My large sausage, pepperoni, tomato pizza $31.50 w/side of pesto $1.50 was great. Loved how the crust is sort of crunchy. The pizza was perfectly cooked. Good job staff at NB Pizza Daly City.

The food and service is amazing here. This restaurant is casual, and they have a big screen TV so you can watch the game. The employees are friendly and helpful. I ordered the Spaghetti and Meatballs. The portions were generous, and the food was tasty.

I'm glad there's a North Beach Pizza in Daly City. I'm a fan of their pizzas, but for this visit, I wanted to try out their pasta. I ordered Fettuccine Prawns. Generous serving size of pastas with lots of tasty tomatoes, onion, and peppers. The prawns were a good medium size, but I think I had about 5-6 pieces. The prawns were cooked well. I enjoyed the pink sauce, but I wish the sauce was just a little thicker. The dining area is clean. The staff was friendly.

A few days ago I had written a bad review for North Beach due to a delivery of a burnt pizza. But today the manager Enrique called & apologized for the service and offered to correct it. I really appreciate that he personal called & I can tell that he was really concerned with my food experience. So I take back my bad review & will continue ordering from them. Because overall their pizza is delicious!

BIZARRE!! My wife and I walked in around 4:47pm and ordered two pizzas to-go. We were told it could take up to 40 minutes since one was a deep dish, totally fine. But at 5:20, after waiting patiently, we were told they couldn't make our pizzas because they were "out of cheese." Out of cheese? At a pizza place? On a Friday evening? That alone is hard to believe. But what's even stranger is that after over half an hour, it seemed like they hadn't even started our order. So either they made a mistake and gave our pizzas to someone else, or they just didn't want to serve us. The whole situation felt off. Maybe it was an honest error, but it left a really bad impression, especially when you start wondering if something else was going on the way they rushed us out (we called shortly after and they were taking pizza orders). Whatever the reason, it was super disappointing and honestly kind of bizarre. Someone there owes customers an explanation for how this kind of thing happens.

Lured in for the free slice of cheese pizza on grand opening on 4/26. Staff is friendly, restaurant is clean. However, a few details they could have handled a bit better. Like the Happy Holidays banner that is still on the wall from its past life as Cybelle's. Or forgetting to remove the soda cans from their cardboard boxes in the glass case. We also noticed a salad bar station that was covered up and when asked about it, the woman was still unsure whether they'd consider offering it. So for now, it's just taking up space. Small details but they do matter when it comes to first impressions. The cheese pizza was just ok, the sauce wasn't very flavorful and crust was dry. The wings, while perfect to me, were dry and overcooked for my bestie. Lastly, if not for their 50% off promo on whole pizzas, their pricing is very expensive at at least $40 for a medium. That's on par with Toto's steep pricing. Hopefully they consider doing a happy hour for us to return.

My friends and I had long known Little Star Pizza, an SF staple for many years, one of few deep dish pizza makers in the '90's. When they ambitiously expanded and spawned this brand, I was happy for not having to stress over the parking situation in the Mission. We started coming here for friend get together which morphed into weekend takeout family meals. In recent months, I've been getting food, mainly appetizers, for my friend and occasionally getting a pie and salad for meals throughout the workweek. Pizza for breakfast anyone? I actually stopped here on Saturday 5/30th and got that. As I enjoy my remaining slices in the next few days, I will savor those bites. In reading their farewell email, the nearest location is Burlingame, a bit of a trek for me. Thank you, Westlake Blue Line and your staff for always being efficient, friendly, and helpful. Great area next to restaurants, bakery and boba tea places in the Westlake center. The restaurant has a full bar and outdoor patio seating. Our server was really nice and attentive. We ordered a specialty pizza, small brass monkey on a deep dish. First of all, the presentation of this pizza looks beautiful, lol. So I was really happy that it tasted freaking amazing! The Italian sausage, spinach, mushroom, onion and garlic with the ricotta, feta and mozzarella (yes lots of cheese!) was delicious! You can taste all the different ingredients on every bite! I love mushroom and garlic as it brought out an umami/savory flavor to the dish. The corn meal crust melts in your mouth and was not heavy at all. For each slice, felt like you just ate 2 slice because of how much stuffing they put into this pizza. It was soooo filling!!! Small is perfect for 3 people. Since there's only 2 of us, we ended up bringing the leftovers home. I recommend this place for pizza lovers or anyone who just enjoy great food! Will be back!

When we arrived, our waitress didn't seem very knowledgeable about the beers, but honestly, that wasn't a big deal. My boyfriend ordered his pizza while I was still deciding what I wanted. His pizza came out very quickly, which we had no complaints about. The issue started when we had barely been seated for about 15 minutes. I went to the restroom, and while I was gone, the waitress approached my boyfriend while he literally had pizza in his mouth and a full beer in front of him and told him, "My chef said to charge you." He was confused but said okay because it made us wonder if they were closing. I checked the hours, and they weren't supposed to close until 10 PM--it was barely around 9 PM. I HADN'T EVEN ORDERED MY FOOD YET. I was still planning on ordering my own pizza, dessert, and a drink. Instead, we suddenly felt like we were being rushed to pay and leave. What made the situation even more unprofessional was that she left the payment device at our table for Apple Pay and then actually left the restaurant. She was the only server we had seen around, so we were basically left sitting there with the payment device and no server. We eventually had to get up ourselves to find someone so we could ask for boxes and return their payment device. No one had even asked whether we needed boxes, wanted anything else, or were finished ordering. My boyfriend didn't even finish his beer because at that point the entire vibe had changed and we just wanted to leave. We had driven an hour specifically to try this restaurant and were genuinely excited about it, which made the experience even more disappointing. I completely understand if a server's shift is ending, but there is a professional way to handle that--especially when customers are still actively eating and one person at the table hasn't even ordered yet. Someone could have simply explained that her shift was ending and introduced whoever would be taking over our table. Instead, we were made to feel like we needed to pay and leave. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the experience. We really wanted to like this place, but being treated this way after driving an hour to come here was extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

He even proceeds to tell me "well you ordered online and I didn't take your order so I don't know what you want me to do about it?". IT DOES NOT MATTER if I order online, on the phone, or in person, the customer still deserves a refund if they made a mistake on an order. Most expect food establishments to train their employees to act in situations like this or at least have a manager on site or maybe on call. He then told me he would call his manager and proceeds to call me back saying that his manager's phone is off and he's not answering. At this point as a customer I don't really have any control on my end so what is he expect me to do? All I want is a refund that shouldn't be hard to ask for. I asked if there's anybody else working there that could help me and he said that they don't speak English, which is fine, but it really did frustrate me and I didn't know what else to do. I eventually just told him to just go ahead just make the food. I don't care anymore. I'll pick it up. It's ridiculously disappointing when you just want to get a refund because you ordered the wrong thing online and then they can't even do that simple transaction that is a common thing in pretty much every food establishment. This situation just frustrated me so much that I will not order from this restaurant anymore. Another incident I wanna say a few months ago, where I ordered delivery to my house and the delivery took so long I was literally about to fall asleep because I was getting so late. Luckily the delivery driver apologized and was nice. Ambience: There's pretty much no tables. It's like one table in there and chairs and that's it. Please do better in situations like this thank you!

I ordered the lunch special for $11.99 that came with an 8" pizza and a soda. I picked the chicken tikka pizza which had a white sauce, cheese, tomatoes, red onions, green onions, chicken, and cilantro on top. The vegetables were fresh and colorful. They blended well with the chicken, cheese, and sauce. The smell of the fresh cilantro really stood out. The crust was perfectly crisp on the bottom and airy in the middle. It was delicious. The dining room, bar, restroom, and kitchen were all very clean inside. There's an interesting mural on the back wall of the dining room that dresses up the place. The service was good and it didn't take long to get my food. Five stars.

We ordered a couple of vegetarian pizzas, including the paneer pizza, and really enjoyed the unique combination of Indian flavors with a classic pizza crust. The toppings were generous, the paneer was flavorful, and the spice level was well balanced. The service was friendly, and our order was ready on time. The restaurant itself is clean and casual, making it a good option for a quick lunch or dinner. While the pizzas are a bit pricier than your average pizza place, the creative flavors and quality ingredients make them worth trying. I'd definitely come back to explore more of their vegetarian options.
