Ok. So this was our first time here. We got a falafel salad and the glazed lamb bacon sandwich. First thing: the "hot" jalapeño and cilantro sauce is amaze (think slightly spicy chimichurri). It was especially tasty in the falafel salad. Also loved the pickled cabbage and cukes/radishes. Oh and the hummus is really good - creamy and lightly garlicky. Now...the meh. I wanted to love this place and just wasn't blown away. The glazed bacon was way too sweet and ruined my tastebuds for all of the other tasty components of my sandwich. Didn't love the vinegary "spicy" carrots myself but my husband liked them a lot. All in all, for the $24 we spent, I think I'd rather go somewhere else. It has been years since I had Brassica last and I forgot how good it is! I went during lunch and got a salad with falafel and it was DELICIOUS! I told them I was gluten free and they got a new serving utensils out to make sure there wasn't any cross contamination with any toppings that may have touched pita. The ingredients are so fresh! The fries with special sauce is so good! Every single worker there was so kind and delightful. I will say it is fairly pricey for a fast casual restaurant but some of what you are paying for is fresh ingredients. For my first meal back in Cbus, I knew I had to stop by Brassica! I always get the Pita Sandwich, because it is my favorite, but I decided to switch up the flavors this time. I usually get brisket to fill my pita but this time I got the chicken and cauliflower, and let me tell you, it was perfect!! I think I actually enjoy the flavors of the chicken better than the brisket, which I didn't think was possible! It has a little kick of spice, which I LOVE. I also got my usual pickled cabbage, feta, special sauce, hummus, lettuce, and crunchy onions. Reminder: they are still open during social distancing! You can get either curbside pickup or you can go inside (with a limited number of people). As I've probably mentioned in other reviews, Brassica has become one of my favorite meals in Columbus. It is essentially a mediterranian take on the "build your own" chipotle model. The food is always very fresh and flavorful and everything tastes so good together. This location is quite large compared to the one in the short north. It has indoor and outdoor seating but still gets very packed around dinner time. The service and cleanliness are top notch and I have never had issues with either when coming here. Food is really just great and fresh. The flavors are great and honestly there hasn't been anything I've tried that I don't enjoy. I actually really just like the falafel as the protein, you can pay a bit more for chicken or their lamb bacon (the lamb bacon was not my favorite). Then you just pile on as many accompaniments as you would like! I honestly get everything cause I can't decide and enjoyed the flavors of all the various sides. Its also great to get a lot cause each bite is a little different but still wonderful. As for sides, I've only ever tried the fries but really do need to go for their pita at some point. This is the yummiest Middle Eastern quick food spot. You order as you move along the line, like Chipotle. The staff are always kind and helpful. And the food is delicious!! Parking is limited so if you go right at the heart of lunchtime you might need to park elsewhere and walk. But it's worth it. I love the salad bowl. You get dressed greens and grains and then protein (falafel is a choice and highly recommended), as well as various pickled items and hummus, baba, and other veggies prepared in various ways. You really can't go wrong with Brassica, and this is my go-to location now, because it's close to my own among other things. Honestly, the parking situation here is so much better than the other locations, plus it's never been too busy for me, so you can get in and out really quickly. As far as food goes, the bowls are a bit pricier than the pitas, so I usually stick with the pitas which actually fill me up more. If you haven't been before, I recommend trying every single veggie item they have to offer, because they're all done so incredibly and mesh extremely well together. As far as proteins, I'm usually a beef person, but the chicken here is my favorite. Add a little bit of the house and Z'hug (sauce), and that usually rounds out my order. Even though Brassica is a little more expensive then other fast casual options, the flavors and care taken on the food makes it well worth it. If you're looking for an alternative to Chipotle, Bibibop, or Piada, I'd recommend this over all of them. read more

Overall I would say it's pretty good because I didn't feel bad after eating the whole bowl like you do at some places. I wish I had gotten extra cauliflower and eggplant added because they were delicious. It's a Mediterranean-inspired (higher end) Chipotle. I'm also a more recent fan of their Brassica fries, which are perfectly seasoned and reminiscent of the Greek fries we serve at our Greek Festival every year. The experience ordering in line and picking all your bowl or sandwich combinations is easy and seamless. The staff is always friendly and warm. My last visit found the place completely full. I got the Falafel pita with pickled beets and cabbage, hummus and their special sauce. Also added some roasted cauliflower and jalapeños and some crispy onions. Haven't had a decent falafel since I moved from Seattle a few years ago, so I was very happy! My hubby got the pita sandwich with brisket and chicken (so he could try both), and he loved his sandwich, too. The seasoned fries were delicious dipped in their ranch sauce. They have Boylan soda on tap which made us happy since we stick to soda made with pure cane sugar, so that was a nice treat. We also got a few of the tahini chocolate chip cookies. (Yeah, we went a little crazy our first time here, because we were so excited about everything. LOL!) The staff were really nice and helpful and gave us some sides of baba ganoush and tahini sauce so we could try different flavors on our sandwiches and see what we like best. I've reviewed this place in the past. The food is outstanding. Always has been. But I think that people need to know how busy it is. We stopped there last night around 6:45 to see a line out the door. At least a dozen people outside. I'm guessing it would take 20 to 30 minutes to get through it. We didn't have the time so we left. You have to take this into account when choosing a place. I was so disappointed that I couldn't eat here. Also, online ordering can be tough. It can be a very long wait as well. Went here on a Friday night ~7:45. There was a lot of snow because of the winter storm today, but the parking lot was pretty easy to get in and out of. This combo was delicious! I had to wait for more falafel to come out, but the wait was only about a minute. We had to wait for some fries too as a side which took about 3 minutes. It's classier, it's healthier and it's tastier. I got a salad and the nice employees helped me since I'd never been in before. Everything looked so colorful and fresh I was blown away. I was pleasantly surprised by their large selection of toppings and sauces. I think anyone could find something they like here. And the prices? SO GOSH DANG REASONABLE. Seriously how are they making money? The falafel was crispy but not burnt as it usually happens in most local Greek restaurants. The rice mix was a great base, a nice flavor but not distracting from the toppings. I won't get the hummus again but that's no fault of theirs I just am not a big hummus fan. We always get the Small Meals for 2 people, and it never disappoints (chicken, carrots, eggplant, lentils and rice, pita). The sauces that come with the meal are stellar and everything is delicious (maybe a little on the savory side, but I'm not complaining). I get takeout from this location, and sometimes there's a massive line to order and it can get a little confusing on how best to retrieve the order (if you placed your order online). I had to cut the line and one of the cashiers helped me out once I got their attention, but not sure that will happen every time which would mean waiting 15-20 mins to pickup food?
