We love Brassica and all the vegan options: warm pita sandwich, salad, hummus, rice and lentils, falafel, baba ghanoush, roasted jalapeño cauliflower, roasted carrots, marinated eggplant, pickled vegetables (sweet, beets, cucumbers, radishes, cabbage), crispy, onions, and organic pita chips. The tahini and roasted red pepper sauce are vegan, as well as their fries. Cauliflower soup is vegan and my favorite thing is the tahini chocolate chip cookie! Best eaten at restaurant if getting the warm pita sandwich. Service fine. Music a little loud for our liking, particularly during busy times, but otherwise the vibe is on point.
1st time trying this location. Perhaps I'm comparing it to the other, but I was a bit disappointed with this visit. I tried the pita sandwich instead of the bowl I normally get. The brisket was moist, but sooo bland. I took it to go and by the time I got back to the hotel 15 mins later, the pita was so soggy that it completely fell apart. The pita was too mushy to eat. I had to use a fork to eat the interior. The veggies were fresh and the fries were good. I would be hesitant to return if I was ever back in the area.
This Brassica location never misses a step on service or food quality. The staff here is genuinely so friendly and works efficiently even when it is slammed. The food is reliably fresh and delicious. My favorites are the seasoned french fries and the minty pink lemonade. That said, they have followed the trend of increased prices and greatly reduced portions. Recently, the bowl I had was 90% rice and greens, with tablespoon portions of meat and toppings. You are not getting any value, but it will taste good!
Stopped in for a casual dinner a few weeks back. Place was pretty crowded for a weeknight but then again it was also 6:30 PM. The line was moving pretty quickly too for the amount of people that were there. I had not ordered at brassica in a long time, so I appreciate the staff giving me some reminders on which absence were which. I did get the bowl with the brisket. I also got several vegetables. The brisket was very tender and well cooked. My foot itself was pretty good, but it was relatively expensive I thought. I know it's probably in line with a place like chipotle, but I just didn't think it was anything amazing. That being said, would come back.
One place we miss when we moved from the area is Brassica. We always come when we are in town. For a vegetarian and vegan, this is a great meal. The falafel is very tasty (also not fried with any meat items, if you are picky like us). The pita is made fresh (oven is right there to see). The toppings are a great selection. Fries are a must. It is busy when we come, but the staff is quick and always getting fresh food out. The place is bright and bigger than the short north area (and free parking).
We had a tasty lunch at this popular place in Upper Arlington. A nice crowd at lunchtime but staff kept the line moving along. Despite the crowd, we immediately found seating. The room was nicely laid out and kept in clean condition. I had a baba sandwich with veggies. Fresh tasting a quite delicious. I especially enjoyed the extra seasoned eggplant I opted to add. The pita was still warm. Friendly staff and good food make Thai one a good lunch option.
[Lane Avenue] 6PM The good - Everything we had was very tasty. Food included a sandwich with hummus and chicken, a salad with hummus and falafel, fries, and hummus plate with falafel. Basically all of these things are variations of each other. All are very tasty. Especially like the pickled veggies and THE SAUCES- try them all. Special sauce especially. I had one of the beers on tap - I think it was Wheat beer. It was fine. Overall a good vibe. The room is clean, inviting, and the staff is friendly - and patience. The 'wish it was a little bit better' - Parking wasn't great. Actually came the day before and it was too packed, so we went elsewhere. Came back and got a spot. The line gets long/slow as each order needs some time to assemble. Not sure how to make it faster but the wait felt slow. This might be a hot take, but I thought the bread for the sandwich was just 'ok'. It was warm, fresh, etc, but it was a bit doughy for my liking. Maybe if they left it in the over for 30 more seconds(?) Portion on the fries was small...ie not really sharing-size. But they were really good...try with all the dips. A bit expensive too. If you're a fan of Cava, you'll really like this place. If I lived here, I'd come back often. You might feel out of place if you don't wear yoga pants/leggings.
I'm addicted go Brassica. Whenever I visit my friend who lives in colombus, I make sure we go here. The food is just sooo yummy. Got a falafel bowl this time along with their brassarita! Both were tasty- although the drink was a bit strong for me!
Brassica truly never misses. It's one of my favorite fast-casual Mediterranean spots. It is consistently fresh, flavorful, and reliable. The space itself is beautiful: clean and thoughtfully designed, with greenery, warm lighting, and modern tables that give it a cozy, welcoming ambiance. The service is always quick and efficient, and the quality of the food is amazing. I've tried the chicken, brisket, and falafel, and each protein is equally delicious in its own way. You can tell this place is run with care. They've perfected their system, and I've never had anything less than a great experience here.
Brassica is and will forever be a Columbus favorite for me and has been for many years. If you have not tried Brassica, you need to go. Every time I go I am always so happy with the food. It has so much flavor and you can tell the fresh quality of their ingredients. The fries are really good too and so is their tahini chocolate chip cookie! I crave their food regularly. You can't go wrong whether you pick the sandwich or the bowl. Go to Brassica period lol
This is the fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant of my dreams. If I could, I would open Brassica's all over California and Hawai'i. What is good? Everything! Brisket Hummus Bowl: The first time I got Brassica, I ordered this. . . with all the fixings- if it was on the line, I added it! Includes an organic pita that is light and airy. Falafel Salad: Comes with greens, and grains, and, of course, I added anything and everything. The pickled veg is so, so good. Must order a side of fries, a tahini chocolate chip cookie, and a minty pink lemonade that I mix soda water into to make it sparkly. The customer service goes above and beyond. If you're meeting up with friends you may want to check out the extensive and reasonably priced bottles of wine, beer on draft, or the Brassica margarita.
One of my best friends is constantly getting Brassica and today we stopped by after yoga due to proximity and their fast food format. I really wasn't expecting a whole lot but have heard good things and I was very happy with my entire experience from start to finish. They are another fresh fast food chain that has Mediterranean style fare on the menu. Similar to Chipotle or Piada you can pick a base, a protein and then your toppings as you go through the line. I chose a base of rice and lentils with salad, and added all kinds of fun and cool colorful veggies to my bowl as well as some delicious falafel. They have some great sauces too. I also liked the fresh beet juice and house made fries. Prices are reasonable and service was friendly and quick. And despite it being fast food with the pretty marble tables and brick decor I definitely felt welcomed to stay awhile. Will definitely be back and recommending this place to others in the future! read more

I love that they opened this location! Going all the way to Short North to find parking is not appealing. I came on a Tuesday evening past 8:30 and the parking lot was almost full. It was packed with customers inside too! No line for food though. I got a pita with chicken, baba ganoush, carrots, some sort of slaw, and a special sauce. It was flavorful! I recommend the chicken over the falafel. The falafel was bland last time I had it. My sister got the bowl with chicken, baba ganoush, beets, carrots, cauliflower, and tahini. It also had lentil rice in it. Overall, loved it. Prices are higher than chipotle but it's a good alternative if you want to build your own Mediterranean-inspired meal. I paid just a little over $9. You can easily go vegetarian here with all the different veggie options. The workers were diverse and young. All wearing black shirts and were great at customer service. The guy told me they had been slammed like this since they opened. Glad to see that they are out this here in UA. Good job, Brassica! read more

My partner spent 4 years in Columbus, so every time we came to Cbus for a visit, he would hype about brassica. I finally had a chance to visit this last weekend (#thanksscience) and was impressed! I ordered half brisket and half lamb bacon and I gotta say - the lamb bacon had the brisket beat! Don't get me wrong - the brisket was very good, but the lamb bacon was just sooooo unique. For a fast food chain, I would say I am pretty impressed! Sooo the reason why we never stopped by brassica the last couple times was because I'm very picky when it comes to veggies (and they have a lot of veggies that I don't like - carrots, cauliflower, kale, etc.) yeah, I live a terrible diet life, ok (just let me live). Even though my choices were limited, I was still able to stuff some veggies in there (eggplants, pickled cucumbers, pickled red cabbage), so it's a win-win for me. Flavor was bomb - a mix of creamy (from the special sauce) and vinegary (from the pickled veggies), oh-so-refreshing. I'm not a pita connoisseur so I cannot comment on the quality of the pita - but they are warmed fresh and has a nice texture, I dig them. Can't wait to come back again. (My partner also teases me and says, "don't pretend like you are in love with brassica now after giving them so much disinterest") but I am in love - we need more Brassica around. read more

I love coming here when I visit my sister in the Columbus area. The food always tastes so fresh, flavorful, and delicious. Its easily one of my favorite fast casual places to go to. They do it chipotle style where you start at one end and walk down the line so you can see all of the options which is very convenient. I went with the brisket pita and fries and was not disappointed. I've also heard the falafel is really good, but nothing that they had out looked even remotely bad. read more
Brassica is a staple of Columbus fast-casual dining. Start with a bed of lentils/rice with mixed greens for the bowel. Then proceed with baba ganoush and/or hummus. I chose chicken as the meat and got all the toppings possible (crispy onions, beet salad,cauliflower/jalapeños, cucumbers/radishes, etc)! Amazing flavors across the board, too much to say, just come and try it! It's a unique Mediterranean twist that won't disappoint! read more
Ok. So this was our first time here. We got a falafel salad and the glazed lamb bacon sandwich. First thing: the "hot" jalapeño and cilantro sauce is amaze (think slightly spicy chimichurri). It was especially tasty in the falafel salad. Also loved the pickled cabbage and cukes/radishes. Oh and the hummus is really good - creamy and lightly garlicky. Now...the meh. I wanted to love this place and just wasn't blown away. The glazed bacon was way too sweet and ruined my tastebuds for all of the other tasty components of my sandwich. Didn't love the vinegary "spicy" carrots myself but my husband liked them a lot. All in all, for the $24 we spent, I think I'd rather go somewhere else. Not to say that I won't be back to try the other options...the chicken looks very good. I just don't think I will be rushing back anytime soon. P.S. The space itself is gorgeous. Love the design! Staff was professional and friendly. read more

I LOVE BRASSICA. It's always delicious, always fresh, great staff, great food. My go-to order is a salad with falafel, all of the pickles and veggies, and LOADS of special sauce--always ask for extra! With a side of brassica fries, a fresh baked pita, and a minty pink lemonade. I've also tried the lamb bacon when they had it (RIP) and the brisket and both were delicious. Brassica can do no wrong! We've brought many visitors here and it's always a hit! read more

I'm begging you to open one in Grand Rapids Michigan! Had a delayed flight and discovered brassica on a whim. The food is so flavorful and fresh. The ambience is wonderful and service was fast and friendly. I had a hummus bowl with chicken and literally EVERY topping. The tahini chocolate chip cookie was next level. read more
For my first meal back in Cbus, I knew I had to stop by Brassica! I always get the Pita Sandwich, because it is my favorite, but I decided to switch up the flavors this time. I usually get brisket to fill my pita but this time I got the chicken and cauliflower, and let me tell you, it was perfect!! I think I actually enjoy the flavors of the chicken better than the brisket, which I didn't think was possible! It has a little kick of spice, which I LOVE. I also got my usual pickled cabbage, feta, special sauce, hummus, lettuce, and crunchy onions. Reminder: they are still open during social distancing! You can get either curbside pickup or you can go inside (with a limited number of people). I decided to go inside because I am always indecisive about my toppings but either is a great choice! read more

It was my first time, and the staff was so friendly and helped me build my bowl. They thoroughly explained the menu and prices and made sure I got what I wanted. Not to mention, the food was awesome. "Chipotle" style restaurant if you will and much different than I've ever had before, I'll definitely be back. A great lunch spot! read more

Dear Brassica: 1) Sorry I slept on you for so long. I've always wanted to visit but never made the time. Now I'm trying to figure out how soon is too soon to go back. 2) Your fries are amazing. Everyone on Instagram was right. 3) I've never had an easier curbside pickup in my life. My order was quite literally waiting for me when we pulled into the parking lot. I rolled down my window and had my order. It truly took longer for us to turn around and leave. 4) I have to get some hummus next time. read more
Pita made in house, yummy falafel or spicy meats to tuck inside that fluffy warm pita, excellently crispy salty spicy fries on the side plus central OH craft beer on tap - wow I'm a big fan of Brassica. You can eat healty too lol, greens for $2 extra plus veg are just as yummy. Fast casual means you don't wait long but you're also prolly not gonna have a leisurely dinner nor long adult conversation here, but it sure is tasty. The place is packed at lunch, be patient about getting a parking space. I tried the brisket plus hummus, cabbage, cauliflower, red pepper sauce and I forget what all else - a fantastic lunch for about $12, but I blew my budget by adding beer :) Vegetarian rating: 4 stars for the falafel and veggie options to top a bowl of greens or fill a pita. It helps if you like spice tho, for example the cauliflower has jalapeno slices. read more
You really can't go wrong with Brassica, and this is my go-to location now, because it's close to my own among other things. Honestly, the parking situation here is so much better than the other locations, plus it's never been too busy for me, so you can get in and out really quickly. As far as food goes, the bowls are a bit pricier than the pitas, so I usually stick with the pitas which actually fill me up more. If you haven't been before, I recommend trying every single veggie item they have to offer, because they're all done so incredibly and mesh extremely well together. As far as proteins, I'm usually a beef person, but the chicken here is my favorite. Add a little bit of the house and Z'hug (sauce), and that usually rounds out my order. Even though Brassica is a little more expensive then other fast casual options, the flavors and care taken on the food makes it well worth it. If you're looking for an alternative to Chipotle, Bibibop, or Piada, I'd recommend this over all of them. read more

Extremely high quality ingredients, most definitely the healthiest "fast food". You get what you pay for, and for all of these original ingredients it's worth it!! "I feel energized. There's life force in my veins, the vegetables I can feel it UGH" -my boyfriend's review :) one bowl is more than enough, possibly for two! Minty pink lemonade is so cute and delicious and they also have a slushee version! I felt like a little pilgrim because we have nothing like this where I am from, 1,000% worth it. read more

I have to come to the conclusion that I must visit Brassica at least once every time I travel to Columbus. I absolutely love the food here, it's so flavorful. I've been here a handful of times and have enjoyed every single meal. Your choices are a sandwich, salad, or hummus plate made with either vegetables, chicken, brisket, or falafel and a choice of many healthy and delicious toppings and sauces. They're all delicious, but the brisket is my favorite. I believe they also have another "special" option, like pork belly or glazed bacon, and those are always D-F-L!!! And the cane sugar sodas are the best....the cream soda is my favorite. read more
Finally came here for the first time after hearing a lot about it. I got the salad bowl with the brisket. Overall I would say it's pretty good because I didn't feel bad after eating the whole bowl like you do at some places. I wish I had gotten extra cauliflower and eggplant added because they were delicious. Next time, personally, I'll get the house made special sauce on the side instead of on top of my protein because it does have a lot of flavor and I don't like it overwhelming all the other flavors in my bowl, but that's just me! The brisket was very tender when biting into it. I had also gotten the pickled cabbage, feta cheese, and hummus in my bowl -- all very good. Think it may take a couple times here until I make a perfect bowl so can't wait to come back! read more

So glad I finally got to try this place! It's set up like Chipotle, where you go down a line and pick everything you want. I got the Falafel pita with pickled beets and cabbage, hummus and their special sauce. Also added some roasted cauliflower and jalapeños and some crispy onions. Haven't had a decent falafel since I moved from Seattle a few years ago, so I was very happy! My hubby got the pita sandwich with brisket and chicken (so he could try both), and he loved his sandwich, too. The seasoned fries were delicious dipped in their ranch sauce. They have Boylan soda on tap which made us happy since we stick to soda made with pure cane sugar, so that was a nice treat. We also got a few of the tahini chocolate chip cookies. (Yeah, we went a little crazy our first time here, because we were so excited about everything. LOL!) The staff were really nice and helpful and gave us some sides of baba ganoush and tahini sauce so we could try different flavors on our sandwiches and see what we like best. All around a great experience, and can't wait to go back! read more

This place is usually really good. It's such a great concept. Healthy, quality food but you can still get a side of fries. The last time I was I got Brassica (yesterday at dinner), they served me a burnt pita . The girl picked through stack and pulled out a darker one. I almost said something but hate to be extremely picky. I did not see the burnt marks at this time and I got it to go. It was edible but so disappointing. If they're going to serve a burnt pita then what are they doing back in the kitchen. read more

Went here on a Friday night ~7:45. There was a lot of snow because of the winter storm today, but the parking lot was pretty easy to get in and out of. It wasn't very crowded and there wasn't a line so we were able to order immediately. I got the bowl with lentils and salad, hummus, falafel, all the veggies they have to offer, and special sauce. This combo was delicious! I had to wait for more falafel to come out, but the wait was only about a minute. We had to wait for some fries too as a side which took about 3 minutes. Best part was I had a free meal coupon for them so my meal was free! Overall, the food came out fairly quick! Would definitely come here again! read more
