It is. This pizzeria is definitely worth the drive. The pizza in this picture is called the Boomin Granny, my wife loves mushrooms, this crust is amazing, so good, so crisp yet so tender, we ordered the meatballs which were gone before we took photos as well as the garlic knots, From the time we stepped in the restaurant we were pleasantly greeted by staff, the staff seemed very friendly and polite helping us navigate the menu. The inside of the restaurant is clean and vibrant with TV''s capturing sporting events. Pizzaleah is definitely one of the top pizza restaurants in the Bay Area, Chef Leah's knowledge of the craft comes through with every delicious bite

It did not agree with me. Their Uncle Frank's Meatballs were very scrumptious however. If I go back, I will double-order those. They did NOT give me the garlic knots I ordered! Shame! The calzone was meh. So despite The Press Democrat's 2026 Best Pizza award, I was sadly disappointed.

We ordered the meatball appetizer which came with meatballs and a ton of sauce. They had good flavor and the meat was very lean almost dry due to the lack of fat. Our server was great and I definitely would like to come back.

Missing a key flavor in the dough: it advertises as sourdough, but it is missing sour taste. I think the dough needs way longer fermentation. A couple parking spots in lot, but plenty of street parking. Weekend lunch, plenty of seating, went with the patio. The patio space is lovely, I really enjoyed the space. Staff were really patience and helpful. Order the Hen in the vineyard ($28) and cosmic combo Signature aka combo ($29) Pizza. Get their DIPS! The Hen in the vineyard is a lemon chicken with lemon feta, onion, grape spread, and thyme. Has a bit of sweet and savory. Unfortunately my table did not taste any lemon flavor and the lemon chicken could be tender. The cosmic combo was pretty good, but still missing sourdough flavor. One thing I did like is their dips: ranch dressing and pepperoncini & preserved lemon. Ranch has a possibly cucumber/spinach component which was tasty. The pizza are visually pleasing, but I've had better pizza in the Bay Area. The pizza dough is flavorless, not very airy and not very sourdough.

Coming from LA, it's hard to find the value you're getting here If it's your first time here, get the flight. There are two options, but get the one with everything they have available. During our visit, it was 19 tasters for under $30. Not only because it's good value, but don't cheat yourself from trying all their beers while you're here. If you only know them for Pliny or Blind Big, you're missing out. The range of beers and unique flavors is excellent. Take your time and enjoy it all. I was sad I couldn't take home their RND IPA or a couple others they had sold out of in to-go cans. Did end up taking quite a few bottles/cans home to stock our fridge with, Keep it Rollin' and Mind Circus were some new ones with took home and enjoyed. Food was also delicious, we weren't too hungry, but we did get pizza and wings. Both were fresh and full of flavor. Love the kick on the Pliny sauce. Pizza was also still good later back at the hotel. If you're in the area, definitely stop by. Also worth a day trip if you're in SF. Wish we were closer and could visit more often.

We plan on making an effort to visit more often! Previous review: Only been by here a few times, as it is at the farthest end of town from where I live... That said, every time I have come, I have had great food and service. The fresh wood-oven pizzas are tasty - it is hard to beat a real wood-oven pizza. I have to say their smashburger is one of the best I have had (fries are pretty solid too!). They have a full bar, and good selection of beers and wines - so there is something for nearly everyone here. They get the basics here right - and the overall experience is pretty solid.

Service has been excellent both times we've gone. But it comes down to the food and we've been pleased with everything so far! Caesar salad - nicely dressed, good flavor on the dressing, brioche type croutons. Ravioli came in a delicious tomato sauce, and the raviolis themselves were tender and flavorful. The cheesy garlic breadsticks were nice and garlic-y. But the pizza slices have my heart. (Please add ricotta as an option to your menu for slices!) We sat inside at one of the booths and enjoyed watching football in their TV. My only complaint was that it was kind of cold since they kept the front door open and it was a foggy day. We started with some wings with their mango habanero sauce. The wings were good and I really liked the sauce. I wish they could have been a little crispier, but they did the job. We had a split pizza. We did the Stormy, which was a BBQ chicken pizza. The other half was their Mac and cheese pizza. The BBQ chicken was really good. Sadly, the Mac and cheese was just not that flavorful. I probably would try something else next time. Gio's feels like a decent neighborhood pizza joint. From the little table we sat at, we turned the chairs so we could face the kitchen area where the chefs were making fresh pizzas instead of staring at the bar tender with her chest hanging out (put them away, you're at work) or stare at the doorway. We weren't overly hungry but wanted to try it. The prices were pretty steep for a beer $12, and the cocktail was VERY expensive $19 after tax. Hubs decided not to order the beer but insisted I try a fancy drink so I decided on the unicorn after recommendation from our waitress. The drink was pleasantly good, not too sour or too sweet, however definitely not worth the price. Then we decided on a small bites, skillet prawns. The wait wasn't too long. We took a bite each and we were so confused at the odd flavor. It tasted like latex gloves and cleaner. Hubs tried a a second small bite of another one and spit it out. We probably shouldn't have stopped. Our waitress was really nice about it and offered to get us a new one or something else or a dessert, but we declined. She ended up taking it off the bill. Maybe skip the drinks and order a pizza.

We left super disappointed. $75 for a salad, one pizza, and a kid pasta that tasted mediocre at best. Bummer.
