A Country Cafe the old fashioned way! Our waitress Rebecca was fast, efficient & friendly! The biscuits are HUGE and dee-lish. The 2-stack pancakes are also HUGE fluffy & yummy!!!! A great place to stop on an empty stomach. Save room for pie!!!

What a great local place for breakfast. Located in downtown Branson. If you park and eat you can then walk to the local shops. Great breakfast for a great price!

Delicious breakfast, I got the 3 egg sausage omelet with American and pepper jack cheese, jalapeño, onion, bell pepper and mushrooms, I selected grits and toasted English muffin, other offers were white/wheat toast and hash browns. Fast and friendly service. Loved the historic ambience.

    Fried green tomatoes!

Seriously...! Don't overlook this spot for the fancier places in Branson... I know it seems pretty plain Jane from the outside. You'll miss out. Comfort food at it's best!

Quaint little diner in downtown Branson. Waitress was very friendly and food was good diner fare. Biscuits were fluffy and homemade.

This place didn't disappoint for breakfast! The country ham and sunny side up eggs were just like my Pa Bart's. Thanks for the memory!

Skip the pancakes and get a pecan roll. The sides are pretty pricey and the breakfast food was okay.

There were 4 of us, we entered bldg to find a waiting line. No big deal, it honestly didn't take long to get seated. We were waited on promptly and our server was good. I wanted to try a waffle, others in the group had pancakes. I ordered hot tea to drink and the hot water came in one of those little metal pitchers. Drinks came quickly and so did the food for as crowded as the place was. The food was good, kids enjoyed their pancakes. My waffle was really good, crunchy outside and chewy inside. When our food was brought our server also refilled drinks. He brought a larger insulated pitcher with more hot water for my tea. I appreciated that, until I used some of the water. One could tell they also used it for coffee, and therefore my hot tea tasted not good, I could pick up the coffee flavor. It was a good breakfast all in all. Portions were good size. Now, I would like to address owners/mgmt. Please do not state, in many places on your menu, that warm MAPLE syrup is served with your menu options. It was warm, but please change the wording to "pancake syrup", for that's what it was, plain old pancake syrup. No maple flavor in it whatsoever, not even yucky imitation maple flavoring. I would come back in the future and would recommend this restaurant to folks. But next time I'll get Biscuits and Gravy

The staff are students working to pay for their tuition. It is a large elegant building with plenty of room for groups, but at times there is a wait. We had the chicken fried chicken and the meatloaf entrees. Both were served with green beans and mashed potatoes. They offer complimentary bread with three types of butter. We really enjoyed the apple butter! And dessert is not to be missed. We had the apple pie, and it was delicious, and more than enough for the two of us. The dining hall is beautifully adorned with cabin-esque motif and overlooks the campus and mountains. The menu has a great variety and notes items that are made by the students (e.g. butters and cakes). Their complimentary, fresh made bread basket with three types of butters was a fantastic start to the meal. We ordered the mushroom soup, the pork belly sandwich w/ fries, and the shrimp and grits. I will say that the pork belly po' boy was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life! I almost stayed in town longer on the second day just to order it again. The pork belly was smoky, tender, and sweet and paired so well with the grain mustard, pickled onions and arugula -- superb balance of flavors. My husband also noted the shrimp and grits was some of the best he's ever had. The shrimp and pork belly in the dish were perfectly cooked and the Cajun spices were well balanced. And we have to tell you to try their fresh desserts. The brown butter chocolate cake was a special ending to the meal. This is an excellent stop and our student server provided excellent service - they're doing a great job there and is a highly recommended of ours during your stop during your visit to Branson.
