I definitely see a lot of comment that are saying the staff was a bad and clothes are generic. Personally I have never had an experience with rude workers they are very welcoming,it's nice to see POC working here as well considering the brandy stereotype. Personally I love the clothes accessories bags and everything! I will agree that the clothing is very basic but I like having basic pieces. My advice: jeans are good quality but I prefer cotton on and Hollister jeans. I have a purse from brandy def recommend their bags the quality is very good as well I've had mine for a while and it's a go too. Jewelry is very cute a so far lasts for me. The clothing is so basic in this store that it's better to just shop online. The store was very crowded (much more than any other clothing store in the shopping plaza), but they had many fitting rooms to accommodate. There weren't enough employees to keep up with the customers messing with the clothes, so the store seemed cluttered. The employees were pleasant, but no one asked me if I needed help with anything or greeted me when I walked in. Compared to the surrounding stores, it wasn't impressive. read more

This is for last Sunday afternoon. I will no longer support this store, this brand. Something fishy & unprofessional is going on in these stores & management/corporate just doesn't seem to care. My daughter always wants to shop here but the closest one to us is either Glendale or Irvine, which is usually an hour away from us. When we do go, it's a special occasion for her (birthday shopping spree) & we always spend over $200+ minimum. This last time, just really pissed me off though. We spent $200 only to find out that 2 of the items (totaling $50) was not in the bag when we got home. It's the first 2 items charged on my receipt. By the time we realized it, the store was closed (they has a handwritten sign posted that day that they were closing at 5:30 pm, which now that I think about it, is another point of unprofessionalism, to close when they just want to). The cashier Daniela (per the receipt), like the other young girlies working in the store, seem to be absentminded & not 100% paying attention to the customer directly in front of them because there's other staff behind them talking their other social stuff. I don't understand how incompetent their workers can be! I am so mad being assed-out of those items. Of course, if I complain they will just deny & be dishonest, because why would these young silly girls care? It's not like they'll be majorly reprimanded. I am sure they do it daily. I did call into the store the next day asking to speak to a manager & what do you know, if course she's the "manager" who picks up & Isabella stated everything was all all cleared yadda yadda & to call back in 20 mins because she will text that cashier. I also asked if they have cameras over the cashiers. I call back & she's says no "they" didn't notice anything but she didn't specifically say she spoke to that specific cashier. Did she text all the staff? Whatever. So I have to contact their customer service# which seems like a landline to someone's home & again unprofessional, like she just woke up & I feel like I am gaslighted by them. So I have to write an email then they'll investigate. Corporate will receive my strongly worded letter. At this point I know I will not be getting my money/purchase back. I am just pissed these workers are getting asway with shit like this. Furthermore, the manager or person in charge (who was asking everyone where they were working & who was working what) was more unprofessional- dressed in short pj shorts & socks & furry slippers. She looked worse than a customer. When I was paying, she commented obnoxiously loud to an older lady next to me how much she loved her blue furry vest. When the lady left, she laughed & told the staff she thought that "vest was nasty & even worse it had blood on it." Then when I am done paying she says the same comment to another mom customer, how she loooves her sweater & then staff giggles. I would just like management or corporate to know how their staff needs attitude adjustments & training in honesty. Also, the Irvine store. We made a special trip all the way there to find out they are the only store closed, on a Sunday. It ruined my daughter's day. When we asked the other stores, they all had a fishy comment about them, that they always do do that, staff quitting, etc. I am done with this store, this brand & hope other mothers will be too. Little help or enthusiasm from staff. This store is one size only aka "Skinny petite white girl" size only. If you have curves or like me are tall and a normal weight. Don't shop here. In fact. Run the other way. Also you will notice the people who shop here... they are all skinny like the brand. I think this store is toxic and supports an unrealistic standard. The customer service here is also the worst too. If someone comes in and is expressing that the clothes don't fit them and they are upset offer them options and show kindness. If you like unpleasant customer service this is the store for you. I have been in this location several times and each time I feel it's worse then the last. Scowling seems to be the required uniform for the employees. They act as if their faces my break if they tried to smile. I said "Thank you" multiple times and was literally met with more scowling and silence. It's common courtesy to say "Your welcome" if someone says "thank you". I saw another item I wanted to try on while being checked out by the sourpuss cashier and she was extremely annoyed that she had to pause my transaction. Oh and there was only one other person in the store at the time and they were not waiting to check out so I wasn't holding anyone up. I wanted to see what other colors a dress came so I quickly stepped out of the fitting room to look and was promptly and snappily told that if I wanted to leave the fitting room I needed to put my own clothes back on-uh yeah because I'm going to walk out of the store with your dress on while leaving all of my clothes, purse and other purchases in the fitting room. She did offer to assist me or help me in any way mind you. I know the staff is all a bunch of teenagers who are probably paid minimum wage but I'm sorry that does not excuse the poor customer service and treatment of customers. This was not an isolated incident either. It's pretty much like this every time I go in there. The manager or corporate HQ really needs to train the staff better in appropriate treatment of customers and basic customer service. So if you live to shop in an unpleasant environment full of grouchy, scowling staff-this is the place for you. read more

The staff are very friendly! Due to Covid, the fitting rooms are closed and they only let a few people in at a time. But that didn't bother me. The store is pretty spacious and they have a lot of items in the store. Tip: check the return racks toward the back of the store. You may get a chance to stag an item that's not on the website! Actually gross. The fitting rooms are messy it looks like a teenage boys messy closet. There's clothes everywhere lying on the ground. The employees all just huddled at the cashier. I usually have a fine experience at this Brandy Melville but I had a very uncomfortable experience here today. I was in the fitting room changing and an employee pulled the curtain open while I was shirtless. Needless to say this was very embarrassing, and she didn't even apologize. I absolutely love everything about this specific Brandy Melville store except for this one worker named Camila. She has such a bad attitude about everything and is not welcoming at all, and she can be extremely rude at times. All of the other workers are very welcoming, helpful and have a positive attitude. This location is probably the best Brandy I've been to in SoCal! The employee with the dark hair, Chloe, was very nice! I asked her questions about some things and she answered very nicely, she grabbed a t-shirt I was looking for from the racks in the back, asked me about my day/ talked to me while she rang me up, and she didn't mind when I decided I didn't want one item when I was at the register. I've had had other experiences at other Brandy's where the employees would be the polar opposite, so I'm so happy they hired someone as nice as her! I didn't really interact that much with the other employees, but the girl that was running the fitting rooms didn't mind when I asked her if I could look through the go back rack. I really do like shopping at brandy because as a petite girl it's nice that I can find things that fit properly. The brandy Melville I absolutely love to shop at is the one in Orange County at the Irvine spectrum. It's a hit or miss with the staff at this location, sometimes they're super bubbly and are amazingly friendly. Then sometimes they look miserable as hell being there. Some of the other brandy stores I've been to have no problem taking clothes off the manikins but the one here it's life or death if I even touch it... the selection this brandy has is more of the neutral tones rather than the colorful tones which sometimes is great if I'm wanting to get more in those colors. Overall three stars because I think the staff can be a little bit more humble on how they approach customers. read more

I was here with my sister for about an hour and we were looking around shopping like typical teenagers in any store. After about 30 minutes or so my sister tried on some clothes and i stood near the fitting rooms waiting and looking at jewelry. My sister was done trying on clothes and i told her to look at earrings i found funny. Then after we went to check out. And we both got 2 shirts each and it came up to about $100 for the both of us. We had also shopped a little at the mall near Brandy as well. As we were leaving there was a worker near the metal sensors things to detect if you're stealing or not which I thought was odd once i left. But we were leaving and the sensors went off. Me and my sister believed she somehow had sent them off because we weren't stealing at all. And the worker who was near the sensors ask to look through our bags and empty our pockets. Me and my sister were furious at the fact. Since we are woc and we not stealing after we had just spent $100 together!! read more

I've shopped at this store a few times, and overall I would say that their products are pretty nice. Much of the clothing is soft and comfortable. However, it is the "one size fits all" aspect of this store that enrages me. I recently bought a pair of gold hoop earrings from the store. I was quite excited to wear these to a dinner party I was planning on going later that day. I had gathered together a dynamite outfit, and all that was missing were gold hoop earrings. So flash forward to about an hour before the dinner party when I was to finally put on the gold hoop earrings. So there I am, in an outfit that needed these gold earrings; they were the glue of the outfit. So I take the earrings out of the package and attempt to put then through my ear. And before I go any further, I would like to add that I have a regular-sized ear of medically "normal" height, width, and depth. I also have a regular size earring hole. When I attempt to put the earrings in, they won't budge. So I try and I try and I try, but they just won't fit. After about 30 minutes of trying, three phone calls to my best friend, and an ocean of tears, I give up, throwing the earrings across the room out of rage. Naturally, I was forced to cancel my dinner party due to this unstable emotional state. In short, the earring was simply too large for my very regular sized ear. After I had calmed down from my eruption of emotions, I thought about the fiasco that was the last hour of my life. This was when the emotional aftershocks hit. I suddenly felt a hurricane of emotions: sadness, regret, disappointment, heartbreak. My self-esteem began to plummet. Why didn't the earring fit? Do I have an abnormal ear? Do people talk about my ears behind my back? Are my abnormal ears the reason people always give me dirty looks in the hallway of my gym? Luckily, before these self-loathing thoughts could go any darker, my best friend showed up at my door with ice cream in hand and a warm hug to comfort me. We sat down in the kitchen and worked through all of the emotional trauma I had felt. Two hours later, I was back to my perky regular self, all my inhibitions floating away with each spoonful of ice cream. Although I have since recovered from the catastrophe that was that evening, I will never forget how I felt. Ears come in all different shapes and sizes, so to advertise products as"one size fits all" is a simple, outright lie. But not only is it dishonest, but it greatly affects one's self-esteem. Those who do not fit in the supposedly "one size fits all" immediately are excluded from "all". This notion leads these people, such as myself, to believe that somehow their body is abnormal; their body is not right. It leads them to believe that their body is not good enough. My experience with the earring will forever change who I am as a person, how I present myself, and how I confront my insecurities. In the face of such mental adversity, I will never be the same. read more

I used to love this place (and to be fair, I still do) but after an encounter with an extremely rude and obnoxious employee, I think I might reconsider my future trips here.. Sometimes I pick items up in hopes of trying them on without counting how many I have. And as you all may know, they ask you how much items you have. I guessed and said 6 but turns out I had a few more than just that. After that, the girl (dark ginger short hair with curtain bangs) got evidently suspicious of me .. which is stupid because I didn't even do anything.. On my way out of the dressing room, she asked to count how many items I tried on. But what REALLY struck a nerve is when the alarm beeped on my way out. I paid for everything I got, and the alarm was probably faulty because the door was closed (sometimes when the door is closed it causes a false alarm to go off) and the same girl forced me to show her my purse, all it's contents, and it's pockets, TWICE?! She made me flip all my pockets inside out, show her my back pockets, and made me show her everything in my bag. It was 9 PM and vaguely, I just wanted to go home. Kudos to the asian girl with straight black hair for defending me and saying she checked me out and I only bought clothes. read more
