Did a great job. Very satisfied with the service, and friendly staff. Thanks. G. Garcia read more

Horrible experience! They snapped the hood release on my vehicle when I brought it in for an oil change. They told me to get a quote to fix it then offered me $13 of the $204 to fix it! Don't ever take your vehicle here! Terrible customer service and they obviously are not careful when doing service!!! read more

Brakes Plus - Snapped of handle! - Auto Repair Near Me - Arvada, Colorado

Just had an oil change here and it was a very pleasant experience! I highly recommend this place for these reasons: 1) Great customer service...I was greeted extremely kindly and professionally 2) Timely...I had an appt and they had my car in and out in less than 45min 3) Professional...these guys are very experienced and know what they are talking about and not just with me and my car but I could overhear phone conversations while I was waiting and their knowledge base was extensive. Overall, this place is terrific! read more

I bent the heck out of something after slamming into a curb during a snowstorm, and my steering wheel had to rest at a 30 degree angle just to drive straight. They worked around my wonky schedule to get the car in, replaced the necessary parts and realigned the steering posthaste, and then charged me about half of what I was expecting. I will definitely use them again and recommend the shop without reservation. read more

This is the second time that this brakes plus screwed up my brakes! This time a week later I noticed the worse noise. I was driving in the mountains. Very unsafe because they forgot to put on the lower caliber bridge bolt! Never take your car here. I still need to call them and tell them what they did. I'm so disappointed and angry! If there was an option to select zero stars I would! read more

First time I'd considered a Brakes Plus and it was a strong experience. I called ahead for details on rear brake work and spoke to Wade who walked me through their process. When I arrived, Wade and the staff were very professional, even allowing me to inspect the rotors and see the advanced lathe in action. Was there just over an hour and left happy, with the brakes performing well. read more

Do not trust these people just another corporation trying to make a buck. I took my vehicle here to have my stud replaced and one fixed. I dropped it off at 9am got a call about 4:30pm that the work could not be done because my caliper bolts were seized. Okay I was nice and said I would come pick up my vehicle and not have any work done. Well I'm no idiot it was in another shop the week before for a brake inspection and quote I called that shop on my way to Brakes Plus to ask about my calipers. They were able to verify that my calipers were not seized that it would have been added in my quote had they of been. Well not only that but it was also at Big O Tires that I called after the first shop who were also able to verify my calipers were fine. I arrived at Brakes Plus to double check what was told to me over the phone and pick up my SUV I was again told that the work could not be completed until the calipers were removed and replaced the bolts had seized in place. I knew better I just listened to the lies. I was quoted $900 but wait he then told me I can work with that number and do about $600 for all the work. He's a good sales man il give him that. All in all it was a complete waste of time and gas for nothing. Don't trust them I'm sick and tired of places like this one. read more

SCAM ARTISTS! I have to echo a previous reviewer in that these guys are a joke. They are a bunch of inexperienced children that cop attitudes and don't perform the work as instructed, and then have the audacity to talk down to the consumer while they're at it. A call to the manager Kevin O'Sullivan shows that the attitude comes from the top down, as he proceeded to defend his technicians (children's) behavior and speak to me as if I know nothing about my vehicle. It's unfortunate they have too many customers to care, but stay away if you can! read more

The city needs to come in and shut this shop down. Zero sanitation is happening here. I was just in for a oil change and almost all of the staff was not wearing face protection. The guy running the counter is talking to walkin's without a mask on. Zero hand sanitizer. COVID hotspot! read more

after going to Century Chevrolet and being told that I need an alignment, I decided to venture out and try brakes plus. The staff at Brakes Plus are friendly and very helpful. Offered me coupons to use for oil changes, and for the alignment. Waiting time wasn't that bad as well. No extra charges for that "special" oil filters found on newer cars. I plan on getting a transmission flush soon at their store. Lot less than the prices at the car dealerships. And they are honest in their work. read more

I got a coupon from Discount tire for Brakes Plus. I scheduled and alignment and dropped the car off. Everything went well. Customer service was great. After driving around all day I could really tell the difference. Great job on my Ford Focus. Thanks Brakes Plus! read more

very professional and courteous. i was in need of alignment work on my 2012 Traverse. I was initially advised to come here from Discount Tire and I gotta say it was perfect advice. parking was a bit crowded but not a big deal. the service, prices and attention to detail will keep me coming back and referring them to other people. read more

I've been coming to this location for about 2.5 years and have always been happy. Still am - finally had one of "those" repairs - a new serpentine belt and water pump. After about 70 miles the belt broke leaving me stranded. They fixed it, and it broke again, it took three times for them to figure it out but I have to say they hung in there and stood by their work. It was just one of those weird things with my car. Up and running now, they gave us a credit and even a cell number stating they'd come rescue me if it happened again. You know - the sign of a good company is when they stick with a problem till it's resolved and these guys really showed they cared. read more

SCAM ARTISTS! My son had his car towed there because his brake pedal went down to the floor. He put more brake fluid in and it all leaked out. They quoted my son $960 for new calipers, drums, pads and lots of other unnecessary replacement parts. We had it towed somewhere else. Only thing wrong with it was ONE brake line was ruptured and needed replaced. $50 part, plus labor. Is this how businesses are run now? You give mechanics a BAD name! read more

These guys are great. I have been to this shop twice and I am so impressed by the customer service. Wade took extra time to diagnose a problem with my car and then made sure I understood it completely. It's nice to work with a mechanic shop that cares about service quality. read more

Quick and easy! Went to get an oil change. They made it simple and didn't try to up sell me on anything.

Wow! Great experience. These guys gave me an excellent price for all four brakes. Had me in and out in two hours on a very snowy day. Service with a smile. It's so rare to get honest service from an automotive chain. read more

The District Manager for Brakes Plus reached out to me and we had a good conversation. We're aligned and I'm satisfied with the outcome.

I have been to this location a couple of times in the last year, and I am always very satisfied with the service completed and the excellent customer service. Allen has helped me a bunch and he is TOP NOTCH. He is very patient, knowledgeable and explains in full detail what is needed for my car. I have had my brakes done here as well as a sway arm replacement and my 2008 Honda Element runs great, because of their commitment to quality and excellent repair. Plus they get you in and out very quickly. I definitely recommend this location. read more

Ya know these guys are alright I wrote a bad review and I apologize for not coming to you first these guys are professional and top notch

Last week I came in to have them look at my brakes. They told me they were fine and still had life on them. This week I came in to have them look at my suspension and they told me I needed my brakes replaced totally disregarding my issues with the suspension. Then they tell me my brakes are fine after I told them I was in last week!!?? To top it off they didn't correctly put on my hubcaps and now I'm missing one! Thanks for wasting 2 hrs of my time and trying scam me for my brakes read more

Brakes Plus Arvada has earned my business for as long as they are open. They are always kind and have been helpful in every way. John and Wade particularly have gone above and beyond. I will be returning for my vehicle repair needs here on out. read more

I recently went to the Arvada Brakes Plus for front struts for my sons 2012 Ford Focus. Their parts and installation price were the most reasonable of the repair shops I called. I met the manager Wade, and Alan and Zach. I'm always cautious with car repairs. All these guys were great to work with. They did the job, with no surprises and at the cost quoted. I'm very pleased with their pricing (they give an estimate of costs and get your approval before proceeding) and their approach to giving excellent customer service. Thanks much, Wade, Alan and Zach, - see you next time I need You! read more

I have to say I am highly impressed with the service I received at Brakes Plus. Being a woman whose husband works full-time, it makes it hard for him to service my vehicle, so that leaves it to me. I had went to MIDAS originally and they gave me a quote for over $1,000 just for struts and shocks on all FOUR. Which I thought was ridiculous and other nooks and crannies, bells and whistles which would have cost us from $3,600-$4,000. Insane!!! I bought the vehicle for $2,800 in perfect condition. No Thank you I'll find another location! I only got an oil change at Midas. Then I went to Brakes Plus dealt with originally Alan at first, then over the phone with Wade both AMAZING did the first round of fixing which were the Brakes and, honestly can't remember at this point but it's on paperwork. They NEVER pressured me or made me feel bad. Alan, did warn me but not to the point where I felt like I had to dish over the cash. He worked with me financially and did some price adjustments to where it felt right at that point. Then I went into my second round of fixings then spoke with Zack. He was realistic as well, yet kind and understanding. I know that companies don't always tell you what they can do unless you did look around and do your research which, I am glad I did. SIDE NOTE: always look for deals, promos, never be afraid to ask for help with deals to lower the cost. Be courteous with people and they are more willing to help you. Remember, they are human beings as well they don't owe you anything, a kind word or gesture can make their day. Anyway, Zack helped me with a ride home in their courtesy vehicle since I only live 5-10 minutes away. He was a safe driver, helped with my daughter's heavy car seat. Picked me up afterwards. And also, helped with setting up my rebate. They weren't just courteous with me only, but every single person who stepped into their shop. I am 100% impressed! Two thumbs up, all 5 stars, a big huge clap, and a big Thank you to whoever worked on my vehicle you all did an amazing job b/c of you all working as a team you have made us (my family, friends) want to continue servicing our vehicles at Brakes Plus in Arvada. Thank you! read more

Brought in my new used truck and they quoted me a ridiculous amount for front end work. Turns out 3 tires were overfilled by 20psi... Good job scam artists. read more

I just had to take a moment and let others know that Shain and the rest of the team at Brakes Plus in Arvada did the right thing for the customer. WIthout going into all the details, the bottom line is I was properly taken care of when a communication handoff didn't go as planned. The gap in communication was going to cost me another $1000 for a rebuilt engine and Shain did the right thing by absorbing the additonal cost on his end. I have taken all 4 of my cars there for the last 10 years. They have always treated me fairly and they have more integrity than any shp I have ever dealt with. Thanks, Kris read more

Wade is the man! I had to get my head gaskets reworked and he was willing to work with me on a price. The price he gave me was cheaper than I could find anywhere else, even without the necessary tow from his shop. He also didn't charge me for the work that did not fix the overall problem. I've only gone there once, but it was the most honest and up front I've ever talked to a mechanic. I would highly recommend Wade and his shop! read more

The manager of this Brakes Plus, Wade, is great! I took my car in for some odd nosies. They fixed a couple things the first time, but it didn't seem to resolve the original problem. I brought it back and Wade and the Brakes Plus team made sure they found the issue and resolved it, hassle free. Was a great experience not having to fight with them the second time around, they wanted to make it right and did make it right. read more

I have been taking my vehicles to Brakes Plus in Arvada for years. Wade (the manager) and his staff have always been truthful about the repairs needed (in fact, several times they have recommended that I not pursue fixes) and have completed the work on time. Just last week, they went above and beyond on my most recent repair issue. I cannot thank them enough! I highly recommend Brakes Plus in Arvada! read more

I did not have a brake issue, but I did have the undercarriage cover on my car fall down. It was dragging in the ground and making a terrible sound. I was able to go into Just Brakes on my lunch hour and get it fixed with in about 10 minutes. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. I have recommended this location to several people at work now and will continue to do so. read more

Wade and John at brakes plus are incredibly honest and will give you advice on what your car needs, not just what they want to sell you. I had an estimate from a competitor that was simply trying to upsell me. Within 15 minutes wade had explained and showed me the issues in the car and made appropriate recommendations. These guys will give you excellent guidance and I'll continue to have my Car worked on here! Thanks read more

They're lucky that I gave them ONE star. I'd give them NO STARS if I could. Don't go to this Breaks Plus, or any Breaks Plus for that matter. I had my power steering pump "fixed" not only once, or twice, but they looked at it four different times! before they "fixed it". Just to find out from an honest and experienced mechanic, that the pump they used wasn't the recommended part for my Jeep. This then caused other issues that I had to get repaired. I spent a ridiculous amount of money on repairs and labor, for poor quality work. I feel like they are a bunch of LIARS who just want to take your money, they have no regard for what they're giving back to you, they'll give you your vehicle back in worse shape, than what it was before! I will never go to a Breaks Plus again! BE CAUTIOUS!! read more

BEWARE: I took my car into this Brakes Plus to have my cars A/C recharged. First time, they recharged it, I left. Two weeks later my car started to blow hot air again. I took it back, they found a leak, so I had them fix the leak, I left. Two weeks later my car started to blow hot air again. I took it back in, they said my compressor had to be replaced and it would cost over $1000. I picked up my car, took it into another shop... this shop told me my compressor was fine, however they did find a leak... they fixed it for only $100. My cars A/C has been working perfectly. These guys will scam you, stay away from this place. read more

I went in with a coupon to get an oil change. I told that clerk that I need a oil change, please! He asks" do you have an appointment?" I respond" No, I don't. What difference does it make if I have an appointment or not?" . Him, "we have no openings and appointment people come first." Me, "you mean that I come second? That isn't right. I drove 25 miles to get here and this my second location I have stopped at. You put those people ahead of everyone. That isn't right or fair to me. I am going to go to the car dealership and get the oil change done. By the way, Io am going to write a bad reveiw about your location, moron". Great prices-yes. Lousy customer service. Don't visit these morons. read more

Well, they did fix my brakes. However, during the test drive they wrecked my previously, never had been in an accident car, doing $2,600 worth of damage to the front bumper. They were very honest and upfront about the situation which I did appreciate, and of course they paid for the repair and rental. However, not once did they offer a discount on the brakes, which I find absolutely ridiculous given the hassle of missing a half day of work twice in the course of the week, to pick up the rental and to pick up my car. If this were my business rest assured those brakes would be free- but nope, full priced and a full day of work missed for me. Not only did they not offer the brakes service for free or at a discount- they had the audacity to try to convince the guy they sent us to for the repairs to use the certified fit parts rather than the original manufacturer's parts because it was cheaper. Thankfully, the only good thing out of this situation was that we found the amazing team at Caliber Collision off 48th in Wheat Ridge, and the manager there said absolutely no way to doing the repairs with anything other than the manufacturer's parts- especially given that my car had never been wrecked before! Brakes plus can fix your brakes, but don't expect the customer service you deserve. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service i have ever received period. The Manager refused to honor a quote that he gave me! Apparently this is the only place that doesn't add on useless items for women! I had called around for quotes on work I knew my car needed, and I also knew what to expect pricewise. Every other place I called quoted me outrageous prices. Alan quoted me a price well within what I expected. The work was completed in a timely manner and they didn't add things I didn't need. Glad to know there are still honest businesses around that do quality work. Thanks so much guys. :) read more

I had a great experience with these guys. Went into get my brakes replaced and didn't want to spend a lot of money. One of the mechanics, Shane, suggested the rotors be ground and that would cost extra. I told him to forgo it. He came back and told me he had done it anyway, free of charge. read more

To put value on this rating I work for a very large marketing and advertising company and I know that bad word always spreads faster then good and I know that when you see ratings that are bad it usually is less then 1% of the business of the company..... I took my car in about 1 1/2 weeks ago and they did some great work and very honest about service and what needed to be done. I had my CV Axel, front breaks and rotors, rear break rebuild, fluid flush on the break system flush, sway bar replaced, oil change air filter, cabin filter, and calibrated the breaks for even wear with some other minor things. They have great techs and management. I had one issue after getting the car back that was unforeseen even by another master tech from ford said there would have been no way that they could have seen this as it is an inner axel seal that was replaced by breaks plus. Keep in mind that it is not a fault of anyone but fords. If you look online a huge issue with that seal across the board. So I took my Car back to Breaks Plus and let them know what was happening and without hesitation they took my car and put it on the lift to check it out. I was kind of scared to here the out come but John came in and said hey we will fix it sorry for the inconvenience and said we will make this right I cant have you leave in this car in the condition that it is in, handed me a key for a nice loaner vehicle and said you might need to put gas in it but if you do bring me the receipt and I will give you your money back. I am so please to announce that I am now a life time customer of Breaks Plus! Thank you to everyone involved in getting my car up and going! I cant wait to get it back been nothing but a great experience! read more
