I had made an appointment for 2 pm. I arrived five minutes early and all the guys were in a meeting. They did not wait on me until five after two. There was one other lady with a 2 o'clock appointment and two walk-ins. For some reason, they took the two walk-ins ahead of us and I waited 40 minutes and they hadn't taking my car in yet to the bays. When I asked for my keys back, they just gave them to me and never even apologized or tried to rectify the situation. Very poor service in my opinion and I will never go back there or recommend to anyone else. read more

I had my brakes and control arms replaced here on June 16th and yesterday (three weeks later) lost all braking and emergency braking with no warning on a downhill dirt back road up in the foothills. Luckily the hill had a decent runout so was barely able to coast to a stop. If it had happened two minutes later, the very next downhill was super-steep, ending in a sharp switchback/drop-off that I would not have recovered from. I discovered afterward that the bolt that holds the brake assembly bracket to the steering knuckle had been sheared off in the knuckle, so it had just been left hanging there, so the assembly was free to jostle around, putting huge strain on the little brake fluid line which subsequently failed. So, the tech either sheared off the bolt while removing or installing it, or it was sheared beforehand and they didn't mention it, both of which are pure negligence. read more

Went for a total brake job. Immediately after a rattle in the back started. and quit when applying brakes. Took in and Jacob put it on the rack and tried to tell my wife it was in the differental which didn't make any sense. Went to local shop and nothing wrong with differential ,it was loose heat shield and brake caliper which Brakes Plus didn't ev even bother checking their job. Piss poor company!!! read more

Best Service Ever! My brakes were screeching very badly. Per my daughter who had recently got new brakes, I called Brakes Plus on Wadsworth in Arvada Colorado. I left the car and was prepared to hear the bad news that I needed front and rear brakes. Instead, I received a call from Kory explaining that I did not need new brakes. They were able to fix a couple items and it is good as new. Kory explained what they did and if I should have any more issues to come back. Everyone in this place was honest, kind, patient, knowledgeable, and actually listened. They could have told me anything and I would not have known the difference. I had some repairs done recently at the Toyota dealership, and they had recommended replacing my rear brake pads as well as some additional maintenance, so I visited this Brakes Plus to hopefully have the brakes and fluid exchanges done at a more affordable rate. I was really pleased with my experience here. I brought my car in on a Wednesday just before 1pm (without an appointment, but I had called ahead) and it was finished the same day before they closed at 6pm. They replaced my spark plugs, did a fuel induction service, and exchanged the coolant, power steering fluid, and brake fluid. The total for all of this was about half as much as the estimate I had gotten at the dealership. They also confirmed that the rear brake pads still had a decent amount of life left and didn't need replacing at the time, and there was no additional cost for the brake inspection. There's also lots of coupons on their website that I was able to apply to the total. Everyone was pleasant and helpful, and I appreciated the honesty and quick turnaround. I will definitely use them again when I do end up needing brakes or other maintenance. read more

Very disappointed with my experience at Brakes Plus Arvada. I had a 9:00 appointment for an alignment and didn't hear, so I called at3:30. They told me they had a few ahead of mine and that they would still try to get it done that day. I called the next morning and they said it was done. Obviously making an appointment doesn't matter. After driving it for a couple of days, it handled much worse then before. I took it to lakewood alignment they said it was way off. They realied it and now it is much better. read more

These folks here have done a great job taking care of me in the past. Quality service has always been completed on my vehicle and accommodations have always been to continue my business with this location. For future customers. I can tell you that the customer service has been fantastic at the front desk and they have never pushed anything on me without what I feel is an honest assessment of vehicle issues. In this day and age, I think we have all become accustomed to staffing shortages. What frustrates me is when you set an appointment, they usually cannot provide maintenance on the vehicle until 45 minutes to an hour after arrival. That has been my experience upon every visit. I'm unsure if it is a staffing issue or lack of prioritization for customers who set an appointment. read more

I made an appointment on line for 4pm for brake replacement. Arrived for appointment and they told me it was a que based system. So, even though I had a 4pm confirmed appointment, they said it would be about 2 hours before they could see me...note, they close at 6pm. Incredibly frustrating. *PLEASE READ* Before bringing your vehicle here. After working and being apart of this company I *HIGHLY* recommend taking your vehicle elsewhere. The new manager here is very unprofessional and argues with customers like a child. I have witnessed customers waiting all day just to be taken care of within a reasonable time. This business also treats their technicians poorly and will force you to do a lot of free labor so if you have any major responsibilities this isn't for you. I have seen a lot of technicians leave within the time I've been here. A lot of promises are made but cannot be met. I've seen customers come back with wheels that have fallen off their vehicle for not being torqued. If the shop was actually being managed instead of goofing around maybe customers would leave happy with their services. They would keep good quality techs if they weren't taking advantage of them. Management needs to step up and work instead of sitting in the back and watching everyone else work. read more

I brought them a rotor that needed to be turned. (O'Reilly doesn't have a big enough machine and Firestone's was broken). The minimum spec on the rotor is 32.4mm. They checked it and the deepest groove was 32.99, so there was plenty of material left. They refused to turn the rotor for me. I pointed out that they could turn it to the deepest groove and it still would not be down to the minimum spec but they said they would not turn it that thin. It cost me over $100 more to buy a new rotor because I was out of options and time. Bastards. read more

I made a Yelp account to write this review. My experience with this particular Brakes Plus has been absolutely abhorrent. After installing front and rear brake pads, front rotors and a new front caliper, I've had nonstop issues with noise due to faulty installation. I went back twice to find they had accidentally BENT a rotor plate causing grinding. They fixed this. Great. But I continued to hear noise so I went back to find the rear shield of one of the brake pads had simply fallen off due to "bad adhesive". I continue to hear noise and squeaking to this day. I've been back to this location maybe 8 times in the past few months and dropped well over $1,000 at this point. I'm appalled that a shop specializing in brake installation drops the ball like this. They put my brakes together wrong. I took it back for a fix but still had an issue. Took my car to a real mechanic and found out the brake assembly was put together wrong on both front tires. For people who do the same thing all day, they don't know what they are doing. Avoid this place. read more

Incredibly helpful and HONEST staff! I went in for a standard alignment, they did the standard bit and called back to communicate that if they continued with the alignment it would cost $300-$400 more. They then recommended that I was in safe enough proximity to being perfectly aligned they'd suggest I not spend the extra money. I also asked for feedback on my brakes because I'd been told I needed to get them replaced by the Audi dealership, and they checked them out and confirmed that I do NOT need new brakes yet. Went in for my 5K mile service. It was quick and people very friendly. I was told that my car needed new struts since some oil was leaking. The entire cost incl. realignment of the tires was about 900$. But the guys were honest enough to tell me that it was NOT urgent, and that if I was planning on selling the car in about an year, they would NOT get it done. This is one place I did not feel I was being taken advantage of as a girl. Discount Tires recommended me to get the threading for a bolt fixed here and I am so thankful I went. They were so friendly and updated me with great contact so I knew what was going on, while also giving me recommendations for upcoming services. Their price was a good $50 cheaper than Midas or other places I have felt that they just throw out a number to take whatever they can. This was a while back and I continue to go back there because the customer service is top notch and they don't try to throw random services or parts at you. Wade, the GM, and one of the technicians, Ruben, are my favorite, but everyone there is so friendly and they all show that they genuinely care and want to do what's best for you and your vehicle. I called this place after I originally was quoted for replacing my brake pads and rotors and I was quoted double what I was expecting. I called brakes plus literally because of how close they're located. I was very impressed they not only did a complete overhaul of my brakes and rotors, they were able to replace my hardware do a complete brake flush and still were way under budget of what I was expecting. They did a great job in a relatively short time and I was pleased to get exactly what I was paying for . The only reason for not giving them a 4 star rating is because I am a woman and I felt that when they called me to tell me my car was finished I felt rushed and pushed into giving a payment over the phone. This place is a rip off! My girlfriend took her car there for a brake inspection and they quoted her over $800! They said she needed a system flush, new pass and rotors for the front and rear, and hardware for the pads. If I wasn't around when they called with the estimate, she would have fallen for it. When we went to pick her car up, I explained that was way out of our budget, and he said that the hardware and flush weren't necessary and that would save money. I took her car to a different shop for a second opinion and it turns out that it only needed front rotors and pads, no hardware because it came with the new pads. In the end, she paid 1/4 of what Brakes Plus was trying to get away with. I wish there was a negative star option! I will NEVER go back or recommend anyone there! read more

Will never know how their work is as they can't manage there scheduled appointments. Called 3days prior to schedule, was told that they were busy and short handed, so I pushed the appointment back. Arrived onsite and was again told they were busy and short handed and it would be a while before they could get it in. WHY MAKE AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU CANT HANDLE THE BUSINESS.
