Today early morning, just a day after the oil change, I was seeing numerous scary warnings popping up on the dashboard, like engine transmission problem, steering problem, brake problem, etc. My van was absolutely not drivable. While panicking early today morning, I called the Valvoline Allen location, and explained to them the situation, and that it was weird that I was having all these issues after an oil change. I spoke to their manager ... I think his name was Cody. He was very professional, listened to my situation, and instead of avoiding dealing with this, he immediately offered to drive to my location to take a look at my van. He quickly found that the duct that feeds air to the engine had a crack, and immediately diagnosed that to be the problem that was causing numerous warnings. He hooked a portable diagnostic meter and confirmed that was the problem based on the error codes. I think the air duct crack was probably a result of it being very old and brittle after 192,000 miles of driving the van. And, earlier during the service, it must have snapped underneath when they were checking the engine air filter. Cody offered to call around the Honda dealerships in the metroplex. And in a couple of hours, he located a new duct part. He drove there to the dealership to pick the part, and then came by my house to actually install it for me. Even upon my insisting, he did not charge me anything, neither for the part nor the service. I was truly wow'ed with his excellent customer service! That's why I decided to leave this comment. This place lost ALL and ANY trust from me. I came in after I spoke with a CSR on the phone. She provided a special coupon for me to use as a first time special. I went in and made sure I let the technician know that I had this coupon. He was kind of dismissive, but I assumed he was so experienced he didn't need to see if and knew which coupon it was. After they changed my oil, which happened quick. He rang me up and the numbers didn't make sense. I double checked with him and he inputted the wrong one and wanted me to just accept it. I stood firm and had him fix it which required he call in to the main office to adjust. This wasn't it though. A few days later as I'm driving home from work with my kids in tow, the plate on the underside of my car just fell off. Luckily my partner and his dad were there and quickly jumped in to figure it out. They explained that the pins that holds the plate were not there. I obviously didn't touch those pins. No one else touched it recently except them. We luckily had some zip ties so we zip tied it in place and ordered some new pins. That was awful. I need service that I can trust and this was not it. I don't blame the technicians for this. I blame the impossible conditions they're probably placed under by the stakeholders and not being provided the tools and manpower to provide this speedy and correctly done service. I'll likely not return here nor any place promising quick services as it probably means rushed and not necessarily correctly done.

They sent me to an allegedly expert with iT knowledge. He charged me $2700. Later I found out he was an employee of the same garage. Very sad and unethical. Then decided to put this on the media. The staff was all very cordial and helpful.
