I've had the same mechanic for about 30 years (a family owned & operated shop in WA), and the thought of going somewhere else petrified me. I really needed an oil change and tire rotation and chose Grease Monkey on Bell based on Google & Yelp reviews. I was greeted right away, explained what my needs were, and Thad did his best to reassure me that I would be well taken care of, they would show me all parts before replacing, and would not try to upsell me. He also said they have bays in back with mechanics to do other work when I need it. I did need a few other things (rear brake light, wiper blades, cabin filter) and each time someone came in to get my approval. I had no idea my wiper blades would shred in the heat! If it's raining, I'm more likely to be standing outside letting it hit me in the face than going for a drive. They were very patient in getting me every discount they could. Coupon codes from the website AND a senior discount! In and out in less than an hour, including wait time to get my car in the bay. The website did mention a carwash, which they don't have at this location, but that was not a deal breaker at all. I highly recommend this location and will definitely go back when I need anything else done.

Unfortunately, Subaru currently only offers new short block replacements, and a complete long block engine isn't available for my vehicle. Despite that, Robert went out of his way to contact multiple shops to find one willing to work with refurbished engines. He didn't have to do that, but he took the extra step anyway. Even though I didn't end up doing business with National Auto Repair, they absolutely earned my recommendation because of Robert's effort and professionalism. Great customer service--thanks again.

For instance, a normal synthetic oil change is $70 here but with coupons, you get that down to around $53. Other chains are a bit more pricier. I also enjoyed the fast service as they told me that they'd be done in 45 minutes but actually finished in 30. Service was friendly. Their phone service is hit or miss as sometimes they'll pick up and sometimes they won't and they won't call you back after leaving a message. They found that my car was in no need of any other repairs. This was unusual because other places are always recommending at least one more repair so either this place does a good job of not trying to upsell you on optional repairs or they weren't thorough enough with their inspection.

Everyone was friendly, professional, and efficient from start to finish. They completed my oil change quickly, but what really impressed me was that they took the time to point out that my key fob battery was getting low before it became a problem. The biggest surprise was when I mentioned I had been struggling to reconnect my phone to my car's Bluetooth. The manager came out, took a look, and had it connected in less than two minutes! That level of customer service went far beyond what I expected during a routine oil change. It's rare to find a business that's not only fast and knowledgeable but also willing to help with something completely unrelated just because they care about their customers. I truly appreciated the extra effort and kindness. I'll definitely be back. Highly recommend this team!
