I would give this a 0 stars if I could. I had an appointment at 10PM and she kept saying that she was going to be 5 mins late. Waited for an hour and a half and she never showed up. I ended up just leaving. Stay away if you don't want to be stood up. Poor customer service. How can you make someone wait for that long. read more

Nia is great! My little boy loves going to her, he saves his money to just get his hair braided by her. We been there twice, once for box braids and this time dutch style. He said it hurts when she braids but he tells me its because she making sure he looks good that is why it hurts :) You could text her for appointments, you could pay by zelle or venmo. Its a little shop with 5 chairs, with other stylist, parking on the street or in the back. Just make sure you tell her your hair type so she know how to book you because cost is by the time really and complexity of the style. Send her pics of what you want and ask for pricing, that's how we did it the first time since my son has super straight and thin hair. read more

I found Nia by googling online and she has been wonderful. My husband gets his locs washed and retwisted by her every couple of months. Miscommunication was had and was met with aggression. When I had left a message and got a call back before I could say two words I was met with aggression saying it was not a miscommunication. I was politely saying she may had not heard me and what I wanted specifically and she continued to gas light me. I just wanted something to be to be worked out nicely and I felt uncomfortable the whole phone call. I would have payed something to get it fixed and I didn't want to leave this review but I payed 100$ and a nice tip to be left feel uncomfortable. Her works good and fast but her customer service was handled very poorly. Racist is a crazy remark when I'm also a black women, the gaslighting continues. Enjoy your night, you lack professional for working this business for so long. You had an anger tone in your voice and that's a fact. I was very uncomfortable and you did not seem accommodating so I did not want to come by the next day. Well...I wish I could've left a better review. I was in contact with Nia over Yelp about getting my hair braided. We conversed for a week and set a day and time, Saturday morning at 8 am. I was super jazzed to get my hair braided. Parking was horrible; I found a parking lot not too far and paid for all-day parking. I hurried to the shop and was in for an unpleasant surprise when I saw 2 ladies ahead of me. Okay. I can wait. One lady appeared she just got in the chair to get her hair braided! So I wait. And maybe I've waited too long. But a whooping 45 minutes later, I decided my time was important than getting my hair braided so I was about to leave. The other stylists, seeing I've been there for a while, ask me who my appointment is for. Neither of them is Nia to my surprise. I told them it was for Nia and they said Nia SAID NOTHING ABOUT AN EARLY MORNING APPOINTMENT. Wow. The professionalism. So, one of them calls Nia and she is shocked by the appointment that she set up! Nia completely forgot about my appointment altogether! She never showed up! She was gracious enough to apologize via phone but that's okay. I'll find another salon. I don't like my time being wasted and this salon was my first and last time going to it. This was one of the most disrespectful memories I've had at a salon. Good luck to everyone else who wastes their time here. Not worth it and I'm glad I was able to keep my money with a big tip. Since this is my first time going to this hair salon, first impression very clean well lit and the parking not so great. But I went in to get Senegalese done on my hair and I'm no expert on how it's done. But she was so gentle and fast. I was so sleepy I was able to get a few minutes to rest my eyes. They did seem kinda of heavy in weight though, from whatever product she put in. But at the end of the day they were perfect. Hopefully she can recommend a new style other than braids. She has very prompt service. I made an appointment same day and was able to get my hair braided. However, the quality of the braids and the amount paid were disappointing. I received 10 braids strait back no added hair and paid $45 which was overpriced. I have short hair and the job was completed in less than 30minutes which was nice. I asked for 12 braids and originally got 9. I had to return back to get one braid that was very large split into two. I was thankful that she redid the braid with no problem, but not happy to have to return after leaving. Overall the job was ok since I was crocheting my hair, but I will not return in the future. read more
