It was extremely quick and easy to book an appointment, straight from their website. Jenny gave me an excellent cut, and she was warm and welcoming. Such an easy person to converse with. I loved my experience here and I found the staff that I encountered to be very nice. I am happy to report that the studio and Jenny met all of my criteria. I highly recommend! Tim has been doing my hair for many years - I wouldn't go anywhere else. I usually arrive early and get to see him working on, or finishing up, the client before me. He does a beautiful job with color and cuts, and I've seen many of his clients getting beautiful extensions which Tim has already colored to match perfectly with their hair. I waited for 25 minutes for my appointment before leaving, but later it turned out my stylist Karina was there, just working with another client during my appointment time. I was contacted afterward and told that no one was informed of my entrance since there was no one at the front desk at the time. I was offered a 50% discount for a future appointment, but this seems like a general organization and communication error. Since moving to Los Angeles from Orange County, my hair has been starving for some TLC. Everyone knows that your hair dresser is one of your life long friends, and I was finding it incredibly difficult to venture back for a visit to my 7 year hair stylist in Orange County, albeit an hour (or more with traffic) away. While perusing Yelp, I felt encouraged by Ecco Hair Studio's reviews, particularly Anna. The positive reviews did not disappoint. To begin with, it is easily accessible from the street in the heart of quaint South Pasadena. Grab a coffee next door on your wait in, don't worry you won't be waiting long. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and poignant. In some hair salons, you always have to be careful of the stuck up, "too good for you" air, however Ecco exudes quality and warmth. The space is surprisingly expansive and well dressed. A salon is truly only as good as its stylists, and Anna was spectacular. Coming from a well nurtured relationship with my previous stylist, I was reluctant to find someone new, but Anna far exceeded my expectations. I thought my previous stylist new my head of hair best, but Anna gave my a luxurious haircut that kept my locks moving without the wind machine (and that's what I like). She is willing to offer any tidbits of knowledge she knows, so that you care for your hair properly, from the round brush, to hair oils... she knows it and has the track record to prove it.
