I asked for a simple cleaning my eyebrows were already shaped and the lady proceeded tot well me "yeah your eyebrows just mest up" and when seeing my eyebrows after she just chopped off the front of it and left one eyebrow round and the other shaped when I went in with shaped eyebrows. I've been coming to Sohi's for five years now and she is the only one that I let touch my eyebrows! I have pretty sensitive skin, but she is so gentle that I am only mildly red by the time she's done, lol. It is currently $6 for eyebrows and pre-COVID, $2 for upper lip. She takes both cash and card! Sometimes, there is a small wait (especially if you come on the weekends), but if there is no wait, you're in and out in 5-10 minutes. Don't be scared by the fact that her address says LA; it is on the cusp of El Sereno and Alhambra. There is ample street parking in front of the store or across the street. I've been getting my eyebrows done for about 2 years now here. Every time I get someone else other than the owner, the girl leaves my eye area hurting for a week. So I learned after the 3rd time not to let her do my eyebrows, not worth the pain. However, today, my 7 year old was with me and Sohi (I think that's her name). I had like 2 people waiting for her. Since my daughter was getting impatient, I opted for getting the other girl. OMG, she hurt me so much this time I even screamed ouch. Felt like she got my skin, not just that, but she also kept getting my hair from my head even after i slicked it back....four hours later and my eyebrow area hurts, and it's redish. Wow I don't even understand the good reviews on this place , I hate leaving a negative review but I'm so shocked on how this place is open , I am 27 years old a young woman and know how a woman's eyebrows are supposed to be fleeked and if u are expecting a decent job TURN AROUND . I'm a Latina with full eyebrows the job that was left on me was horrible on my top left brow she threaded to much where it looks like I have a bald spot , the bottom of both my brows look like a roller coaster line (up , down , up , down) instead of them being just a simple straight line or arch ! The job was messy and so lazy I'm disgusted , the place was empty so I don't understand why the work was so poorly ! Yesterday, I came to get a henna tattoo...not the best idea since they clearly specialize in threading (i.e. Hair removal). Beware, henna does not come off right away, I've tried all the different methods I could find on YouTube and Google. They're nice, it's cheap...but that's the thing...it's cheap. ($20) The girl who did my henna preferred a picture that she could copy versus free hand. I should've been more specific in what I wanted, but I did not want to get in the way of her "creativity." I showed her some pictures of what I generally wanted and got this....(my hands were freehand, my forearm was a picture I found on Pinterest) Should've just sprung for Ziba or a different henna artist somewhere else or just had her copy exact pictures. read more

They do an amazing job on my daughter's eyebrows. She has more hair than I do so hers look infinitely better than mine. They never ask me how I want them shaped but I also never need to tell them. They just know! But, because my daughter had never had them done before, she did consult with me as to how much shaping I wanted hers to get, so I really appreciated that. I've been going to Sohi iThread for about a year and a half now and I was always 100% satisfied with how she did my eyebrows but yesterday was the last time I go to her.. I had previously had a bad experience with someone thinning out my brows and Sohi helped to reshape and grow them to the desired shape but yesterday she completely let me down. It's a small little shop run by two ladies. I've been here 2-3x and get helped as soon as I walk in or within 5 minutes. They generally never ask what I want but they kind of already know what to do? I'm in and out there within 10-15 mins with upper lip and eyebrows threaded. Eyebrows are $6 and upper lip is $3. Weird, but they also thread your armpit for $10 which I know most threading places don't offer that service or not directly post on their board. There is only street parking available. read more

A solid 3 stars. I came in for the $6 eyebrow threading and my experience was ok. I was a little disappointed because the lady who helped me spent about 3 minutes total on my brows. She did not trim them down with scissors and when I asked her to arch them a little more she told me no! She was nice about it and explained that it may not look right if she did it, and I I suppose I can't expect the world for $6, but she should have at least tried to honor my request. Their saving grace was that my eyebrows turned out looking good, a 7 out of 10. When they went to charge me it was a flat $6 even when I used my card to pay which was a plus.
