I had been researching tattoo artists to do smokey tattoo liner for a while now. A lot of artists do the winged liner or the lash liner enhancement, but not a lot of artists locally do the smokey liner. I also didn't want to drive very far knowing that I would have to be coming in for touchup services. I came across Tina and her studio through online reviews and Yelp. I reached out via text and Tina was very responsive to all my questions about the process, pain, and what to expect. I was able to make an appointment via text as well, sent my deposit through Zelle, which was super convenient. I received a reminder text the night before including details about parking. The studio itself is very nice and clean. Tina is very friendly and welcoming, she offered me snacks when I arrived and talked through the whole process of what to expect with the eyeliner. As she began the outline and numbing process, she would check in on the pain and comfort levels to ensure that I was comfortable. Pain was minimal and I am loving the results so far. I'm someone who is terrrrrrified of any beauty treatment that is considered "permanent." (I've never even colored my hair!). However, I'd always hated that my brows were uneven, no matter how hard I tried to correct them at home. That with years of over plucking my brows, I knew they needed some professional help. After hours of yelp browsing, I found Modern Face Studio. I loved that Tina had many thrilled clients and that she knew how to make her work look so natural. Booking an appointment was easy and she had availability as soon as a week out. Before booking I asked Tina a few questions via Yelp messaging and received prompt, friendly replies. :) The day prior to the appointment Tina reached out by text with parking instructions. I asked some more follow up questions about the procedure (can you tell I was still nervous, LOL) and again, received super quick responses. I never felt like I was bothering Tina and she seemed genuinely happy to take the time to give me all the information I needed to feel comfortable. On the day of, Tina first drew an outline of what my new brows would look like, carefully ensuring it was even (my biggest concern). She listened to exactly what I wanted (natural looking, mirroring the shape of my current brows without getting too thick) and got to work. The numbing process takes about 30 mins. During this time Tina explained aftercare procedures and answered all of my questions. She made sure to explain that my brows would get SUPER DARK during the healing process - I'm so glad she stressed that because otherwise I would've been panic texting her in a few days time, lol. The micro blading part was actually super quick and painless. It mostly felt like someone was tweezing multiple hairs - very doable. Tina even numbed the area once more in the middle of the procedure and lastly after she was finished to alleviate any post procedure pain. I am so happy with the end result!
