Just very unhappy with the fact that only Zelle, Apple Pay or Venmo is accepted as a form of payment and only cash is accepted on day of service. I wish this was all made known to the consumer about this business. The lady running this business will only contact you thru text and once you pay her the initial $40.00 deposit she will take a few days letting you know what the procedure takes and requires from you. I'm the most disappointed with her because I scheduled my appointment for the 22nd of September and I received a text about 5 days after I paid my deposit saying my appointment was booked for the 18th. I clarify with her that it's for the 22nd and she replies all thru text that's what I said. I send her a screen shot of her message and her excuse then is oh it must have been a typo. I never signed anything, and at this point am feeling weird about this place and the way it does business. I ask to cancel and for a refund of my $40.00 (in August before agreeing to anything) All I got was a flower emoji. Make sure of what you're doing before you hand over your $40.00 Because you will not get it back even if you are not at fault for the mix up of days etc or lack of professionalism or responsibility. An all cash business that only deals with you thru text without informing you of procedure till after you pay $40 sounds very shady to me and one that seems to take advantage of not only the consumer but on the taxes that should be paid on all the cash income this business brings . We are talking in the hundreds. Why would you have hard feelings when you just banked 40 dollars for doing nothing. And you initiated the conversation thru text for a reason. Why not take some responsibility snd in the future be more professional and contact the client by phone. You come across as a very money hungry business . No hard feelings just speaking my mind. I would not call that complaint Yura. Also please take some responsibility for not taking the initiative to contact your client by phone nor explaining the procedure when initially asked, before paying you. Ok, Yura is the best!!! I've been doing Microblading with her for a few years now and she never disappoints. I read a negative review below about her not giving a non-refundable deposit back for a date mixup but this just seems illogical to me. Yura mainly communicates through text to schedule appointments but it's never the ONLY way to talk to her. But hey it's 2023 and texting is what most people prefer. I've never had any sort of mixup with her and she is very professional, funny and most importantly, incredible at what she does! And maybe she made a typo but she's only human. Don't tell me you've never mixed up a date in your life lol it's no reason to give someone one star. So mean! My Microblading I did last year lasted for an entire year! I've waited awhile to write this well deserved review until I am done with the 2nd session (touch up) to finally tie my opinion about InkCharm (Yura). I've been wanting to have my eyebrows done in the last 3 years and my fear of not getting the right artist and end up with an eyebrows that I will hate for the next 1-3 years will be a disaster. I searched and end up with InkCharm put a $40 deposit, got my appointment in 5 days which Yura during my first visit put me at ease, comfortable with her and distracted my fear by talking to me the whole entire session. She is very friendly and would take her time explaining to you if you have questions and specific likes. She knows exactly what I want! The pain is tolerable although the second session was a little bit more intense than the first. My healing process was good, I just followed Yura's instructions saying I can wash my whole face (with my eyebrows) sooner than the ones I read online. I am so pleased with the result and I'm looking forward for my next touch ups in the future with more confidence. I feel great waking up in the morning with a filled eyebrows and ready to go. She advises you on what shape looks best for your face and points out things about your face you never noticed. Yura is the best of the best - I cannot recommend her enough. I did a combo microblading and powder brows, plus eyeliner (on a separate occasion.) My eyes look incredible. She really listened to me during each visit and understood clearly what I wanted, and the results were even better than my highest hopes! For my brows, I wanted a specific color and shape - lighter brown - not blonde, not dark brown - with an arch but not a HIGH arch. She nailed it. The black eyeliner is subtle but lovely and just what I wanted. The process was not painful at all (especially compared to your standard tattoo) and healing was quick. Yura provides warm, wonderful customer service - it's clear she cares about her clients and their happiness. Now, I pop on some mascara and lipgloss to get ready and I'm out the door. It saves me SO much time every morning! If you're someone who has to spend hours of your life doing your eyebrows every morning, this is absolutely worth the investment. Do it! Also, I should note that I'm getting married in 2 months so the pressure was on and my nerves were high when I first entered Yura's studio. She calmed me right down, and did a perfect job. As a natural blonde, my brows are pretty much non existent. It would take me at least 20 mins to paint on my brows, trying to make them look natural and they never did. If I changed my clothes or rubbed my forehead, I would rub off half my brow. I always had a pencil in my purse to fill it in. I thought about micro-blading for a while but was very afraid that it would look too dark or too red and not look natural with my light hair and skin. After my consultation with Yura, she told me about the micro-shading and that seems to be the best option for me. Yura put me at ease and I instantly felt like I knew and trusted her. This is a way long overdue review! How I met Yura... I was in nursing school still back in 2020 and one of my nursing instructors had the perfect eyebrows that looked super natural. One day, I asked her if her eyebrows were natural or microbladed... And this is how I met Yura through her referral. Now, let me tell you about my eyebrows. They were sparse and very uneven throughout my whole life. I've gone through my younger years where they were over-plucked. It was always such a hassle to have to draw eyebrows and make sure they were shaped evenly. Naturally, Microblading seemed like a great option, but because it's so permanent, it's scary to have someone you don't know do the work. I am so happy that fate brought me to meet Yura. She's super talented and professional... Not only that, she is so funny! I won't go into details of the whole process as it's pretty straightforward. I do suggest that if this is something new for you, do your own research, and bring a few pictures of what you have in mind to your first appointment. Have realistic expectations. I love love love my eyebrows, and get compliments all the time because it looks so natural, and I love that I can just wake up get out of bed and out the door without having to put any make up on! Best self improvement decision I've ever made. Thanks to over plucking my thick eyebrows since I was a teenager, threading and cutting them in my thirties, I've been watching them thin out and disappear. I'm not a makeup person, but I found myself drawing in the missing brows every single morning. Trying to make them exact. Over a year ago I started contemplating getting brows tattooed. I asked a friend about her traditional tattoos. Then she told me her daughter had her eyebrows done, but not by a tattoo artist. She referred me to InkCharm. I looked up the website and checked out the services. Yes, there are photos of gorgeous women on her website, but those aren't the only people using her services. While I was looking I noticed that she also does eyeliner. If there's nothing I dislike more it's putting on eyeliner. So I decided to go all in and get my brows and eyeliner done. Due to the disclaimer about possible bruising and swelling I opted for a 4 day weekend to go in. I got the Microblading on my eyebrows- not painful. She turned my horribly shaped eyebrows into fantastic brows - color and shape. The eyeliner was really painful- not enough to cry, but I was clenching everything. Yes she puts on lidocaine to numb the area- and you have to keep your eyes closed the whole time- but it hurt like hell. I have no other tattoos and don't plan on getting any. When she was finished, my brows and eyes looked fantastic. I had no swelling, no flaking, no pain. When my lid itched a little, I put the eye drops in that she gave me. I wear contacts and didn't put them in until I went back to work 4 days later. You can't wear contacts while she's doing the procedure. During the 6 weeks before my follow up, the color chilled a little, but still looked fine. I just had the follow up and she added more to my brows and enhanced the eyeliner. The eyeliner was tolerable compared to the initial appointment. Brows didn't hurt at all again. I am "blessed" with a face full of freckles, but she can give you freckles if you want them. If nature didn't give you the eyebrows you want or time has taken it's toll on them, I highly recommend Yura. You deserve to look the way it'll make you happy. And if you hate applying eyeliner as much as I do, it's worth the pain to not have to deal with the daily chore. I also no longer have to worry about eyeliner falling / flaking off in my eyes and getting on my contacts. read more
