I was very happy with my pedicure here! I called when they opened and asked if they had time for a walk in and it worked out for me to head right over. I was helped right away and picked out my color. Moon took her time on my pedicure and really made sure everything was filed nicely. It was my fire time here but I would definitely be back here. read more

GREAT DEAL! I got a pedicure for 28 dollars! During the experience they: - turned on the message chair - removed my old polish - cut my toes and removed my ingrown nails lol - painted my toes - scrubbed my feet The value is crazy and it took like an hour!! I really recommend if you are on a budget :) read more

Don't go to Moon for a dip powder manicure because she cannot do it. I paid full price for the worst manicure of my life here. I made an appointment two days prior and arrived on time. I was the only one at the salon so Moon came to me immediately. I told her that I wanted an ombre french tip with dip powder and asked if she could do it. She said yes and proceeded to waste my time for TWO. HOURS. Here's a break down of the timeline since it's important, and I told Moon when I booked my appointment that I had work at 3PM and needed to leave before then. 1PM - my appointment 3PM - work began for me and I needed to leave by then During my manicure, Moon was getting frustrated because she couldn't do it. When I noticed that she was attempting to give me a classic french tip instead of an ombre, I flat out asked her if she knew how to do it. That's when she admitted that she doesn't know how. At this point, I had been at the salon for an hour and I told her that I would be fine with a classic french tip if it was easier for her. Guys. SHE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO DO DIP POWDER!!! I don't know why she even offers it as a service. My manicure came out lumpy and the tips were awful, they weren't clean. When I inspected them, she sheepishly asked, "they look bad, huh?" GIRL, YES! At that point, it was 2:40PM. So I said, "Moon, you're aware I have work in 20 minutes. Where can we go from here?" She said she's better at gel and she could do that for me instead, so we proceeded. Even with gel, the manicure didn't look really good because she tacked on the gel on top of the powder she put on. I have natural nails so she put SO MUCH product on my actual nails that the products began to chip two days later and my actual nails started to break. At the end of my manicure, Moon charged me $50. She didn't offer a discount for wasting two hours of my life for the worst manicure I've ever had. On top of that, after I paid, she said "see you next week!" I asked her what she meant because I did NOT give her any indication that I wanted to return. She replied "so I could fix your nails." Umm, excuse me?? Why would I EVER return to your awful salon for your terrible skills??? Plus, she had charged me full price -- did that mean she'd do the same if I were to have returned for her to try to salvage what she wrecked? I just told her that I wouldn't return. It seemed very arrogant of her to assume I would trust her again. I really wish I had images to show you all just how bad Moon's skills are, but I was so embarrassed at the manicure she gave me that I didn't want to take any photos at the time. This was early July, so this was about three weeks ago read more

Sis booked an appointment via call for 1 mani/pedi and 2 mani on a weekday. We received an automated message that our appointment was moved to 1hr later. Sis called and found out our original appointment is still the same. Definitely call if you receive any messages to double check! Place is clean, classical music on one side, tv news on the other. I had the pleasure of meeting Moonie, who owns the store. She's been here for 5 years and previously her business was in Highland Park! Now service: Moonie took her time, about 45-60 min for my mani. She used tools and I felt like my nails were being clean without any pain! I got gel and they were dried once she finished with me. Mom LOVED her mani/pedi. It included pedi callus removal, foot/leg massage, and a massage chair. My mom almost slept a couple of times. Both Moonie and the other employee took their time and we appreciated it! Worth a try for a change of pace. This is not the kind of place that rushes you on weekdays. read more

Hello, everyone I want to retract my compliment about Moon Nails & Spa. I previously made an appointment for retouch for my eyebrows. My first time getting acrylic nails done (for my wedding day). I made an appointment with Moon because I wanted a specific day/time. I appreciated that she didn't seem deterred by my short bitten nails (I've been a nail biter since childhood). I don't have other manicure experiences to compare to, but I think things went pretty well. I asked for shorter nails since I'm not used to having long nails. She initially didn't trim them as much as I wanted, saying "I can also shorten them later, but never make them longer." She was right and it was the perfect length in the end. The only thing that bothered me was some asymmetry in some of my nails if you look closely. Overall, I was happy about my wedding nails. read more

Nice and clean nail shop. The lady did my nail is friendly and very nice. I got a regular manicure and she did a decent job and took the time to work on my nails. They take walk in but I saw only 2 people working at the time so probably there will be a wait if they're busy. Limit parking on the front of the store. Idk if there is any parking lot behind or not. read more

Sooo the salon I usually go to was closed so I decided to try a new place, I called before and they said no wait so I went in and there were two workers and only one person. I asked for a mani/pedi. I sat down and waited a good 30-45 minutes before anyone assisted me. I got the service I asked for the pedicure which took about an hour and then finally got my mani started and was really rushed. I did not like the end result and I let the lady know she took off my nail polish and started all over, I didn't have time to wait any longer and asked if I could come back in the morning to which I did and she finished my nails and walked out, but also felt like the service was not given a full effort. I love my Pedi, didn't like the mani. read more

I came in for a gel pedicure and callus removal. The environment upon arriving at the salon was super clean, Moon greeted me and worked with me. My mom always says that pedicures in the Philippines are so much better because they actually deeply clean your cuticles and aren't afraid to use their tool, which I completely agree. Regardless, I still get a lot of pedicure here in the CA. When Moon began cleaning my toenails I was shocked at the level of detail. I have had a lot of pedicures as I mentioned but this one is memorable because I felt that she really cleaned my nails and cuticles. Which I haven't felt in a long time. I'm going to take my mom here because she'll be surprised. When it came to painting, she took her time, corrected mistakes, and the job was well done. I can't speak for the other services as I only got a pedicure, however if you want a thorough cleaning and nice pedicure, you can definitely get that here. However, i didn't give it a 5 star because I think she short changed me but I'm not sure if it was done on purpose; the total was 43, I gave her 60 and she gave me back 15 instead of 17. But she was super sweet so gave her the benefit of the doubt and counted it towards her tip (just gave her back 2 less than I intended to even it out). Update: Moon actually called me over the phone to apologize and that it was a mistake. And I genuinely believe her. I thought this showed great accountability on her part. read more

This is the worst place ever! I went in for acrylic fills, she didn't remove old color! She put powder over it! I said, you need to remove the color, nobody has ever went over my color like this before! Her response was, oh your mail will break, so this is ok. I said, I'm not comfortable with it. She looked at me and continued. I was dumb for allowing her to finish. Worst nail place ever read more

Well I was super excited to finally get a pedicure and manicure after four months of being on quarantine. My mom makes us appointments for gel pedicure and a gel manicure for myself. Off top I could tell this just wasn't the vibe. For my ladies that do this and get their nails done religiously... don't come here. Even if you're just looking for a regular manicure.. just don't. The manicure started off piss poor so I just told her no gel. The manicure was like 3 minutes of a raggedy nail file and her plucking off my cuticles instead of nicely cutting them. She put the polish on and it looks like a 1st grader did them so I asked her to just take it off and put clear coat. She does and this is what I end up with... I said hell no to the pedicure and walked out. read more

Went here on a random Sunday to get a quick regular mani pedi. Called to make sure there wasn't a wait and there wasn't. Maybe cuz they just opened recently. There are a few shops up and down Main Street and I tried most of them but got to say this was one of the better ones. The ladies are nice and made sure I'm comfortable. I didn't feel them cutting my skin the whole time and that's a good thing! Very attentive as well. They also have a nice regular polish collection Probably my go to spot from now. Not to mention $30 for a mani pedi is a steal. I think I got a discount cuz I paid with cash too. read more

Super clean and environmentally conscious spa. They don't put bags in the basins, instead the scrub and sanitize after each pedi. Quick appointment for mom and me. Owner and Kim did our mani and pedi. Mom enjoyed a massage and all are happy!

This place sucks , So I hate doing gel to start with cause it always breaks my nails And you know how when nail places buy gel polish it comes with a regular polish pair ? We'll I told her I wanted regular polish and I went to pick up my color that was sitting next to the gel. She told me to put it back that I wasn't allowed to get that because I wouldn't pay for gel, even though I was getting the regular polish version. She then proceeded to telling me to pick one of their old nail polish that was on a table. Those polish looked old and quite frankly all the colors on that table were ugly and dull. I was looking at the pastel ones on the wall that were next to the gel ones read more

I stumbled across their sign and had to come back the next day to try them out! They have so many services (manicures, pedicures, waxing, eyebrows), I just opted for a full acrylic set. I would definitely come back here for nails... or to try another one of their services! read more

Wonderful nail salon! They're super clean, everything is shiny new and beautiful. We followed Linda here from our old place, she is the best at pedicures. I really didn't want to leave a review because the lady who did my nails was really nice but my gel manicure came out looking super clumpy, messy, and she left a lot of uneven nails. They look like a polish manicure not gel very clumpy looking. I'm upset because now I'm gonna have to go get them fixed and spend double the money. I would not recommend this place save your money and time. Although they were nice and took their time the nails was done poorly and I didn't get what I asked for and instead of making an argument I went the flow and figured it at least come out nicely. However, one of the nails started to chip off 2 days after I had them done and by day 3-4 it many of the nails were falling apart and the color started to change 2-3 days into it as well. In addition to that by the end of the week 4 nails were completely came off. read more

So sad to write this review. I've been coming here for years now and over time, i feel as though Moon has gotten lazy with her service. I used to come for an eyebrow wax and before she was AMAZING but i had to stop since the last few times have been rushed and my brows were ruined. Since then, i've only came for mani/pedis and even those have been subpar at best. She didn't listen and did whatever she wanted by ruining my nail shape and i paid full price for a spa manicure and just received the polish. Not spending $ here anymore. read more

Went in for a much needed pedicure and manicure during this crazy time. I felt comfortable, they seem to follow all protocols. Salon was not crowded, everything looked cleaned. Booked an appointment online, super easy to do. My husband needed a pedicure baaaad! He was happy with it. Giving 2 stars because: 1. I did not get a foot massage, I even told them and the lady said she did which she did not. She just applied lotion 2. I get that they are coming back from not being in business for some months, but don't try to sell me a service that I do not need, a bit pushy. 3. A bit expensive in my opinion. 4. When we were paying she changed the amount 3 times, each time she added an additional dollar. I was satisfied with my pedicure and manicure but won't be returning. read more

I went to this nail salon to get a spa pedicure because I couldn't wait any longer. I asked for a spa pedicure that comes with callus remover and scrub for $28 dollars. When I made my app that's what I asked for but when I got there I was sitting in the chair less than 30 min it felt very rushed. The callus remover gel was on my foot less than a min which was disappointing... the actual pedicure was ok but I don't think it was worth $28 dollars. On the bright side they were very kind so that a plus! read more

This was the first time in my life I have had to walk out in the middle of a manicure. My usual salon across the street was swamped and I was really hoping to get my nails done before traveling later this week, so I took a chance and tried this place out. The facilities are clean and the people are friendly, but the service was terrible. It took an hour to get my original gel filed off and my nails cut and shaped. I asked for my nails to be cut shorter and she used nail clippers on 3 nails and then just decided to file the rest of them without cutting instead. My nails came out uneven, the original gel wasn't even fully removed, and my cuticles are a mess - I think she just pretended to cut my cuticles instead of actually doing anything... I could see and feel her not using the scissors at all. I had to walk out after 1.5 hours as I couldn't continue sitting through this manicure. And the worst part of it all was that they asked me to pay $20 to have wasted my time and make me have to go to my usual nail salon for a FULL manicure tomorrow. It looks like this place is always empty for good reason. I had to learn the hard way! read more

Made an appointment online for 5:30 regular pedicure. Got in 5 minutes early and basically felt ignored until I was ready to walk out after waiting 20 minutes past my appointment time. What's the point of an appointment time if I'm still going to end up waiting? Felt a bit miffed that there were 2 techs on one client and I'm chilling here waiting on someone to even turn on the water. Moon is really sweet and did a great job but I'm definitely taking points for the wait and the charge for my service. If you no longer provide certain services, remove them from your website where folks are booking. It feels dishonest to leave them there and then say you don't do it anymore. read more

The gel manicure was done in average level. I guess the gel polish is not good to cause the quality is low.

I came here for a fill and pedicure. I showed her pictures if exactly what I wanted, almind nails, french tipped, and she shaped the stiletto, then almost ruined my shape and i lost length. I also told the lady Moon doing my hands that she didn't fill in the acrylic all the way down and around my cuticles, so i could still see my real nail and where the nail and acrylic was lifting on at least 7 fingers. She insisted nothing was wrong, then said she still had to shape and file them. Before she was ready to paint them, I mentioned how the corners were still exposed, lifting and unfinished. She at that point refused to finish.. I started crying because I work 2 jobs and had to wait tables at 8pm, and it was 6:35pm. She said she she couldn't finish my nails because she didnt know how, but really she had someone waiting. She then blamed me for missing other potential prospects that walked in, and her husband came in and yelled at in the chair that she has worked there 20 years and no ones ever co read more

I arrived today showing up to my pedicure appointment that I made in advanced through Google but when I arrived, they were barely serving 4 other guests and told me I had to wait, even though I made an appointment. Before I arrived, I confirmed twice that I was coming to my appointment and there was even a sign outside their salon saying to make an appointment 2 ours in advanced and they still ignored it. This was very upsetting because this was my first time coming to this salon and I felt as if they didn't take me and my appointment seriously. I had to wait almost an hour to be seen. No one apologized for taking me so late. This was a very disappointing experience and I will not come here again. read more
