We walked in at 11 am and quickly greeted by Jenny (I think). We already had an idea of the type of gel and design we wanted. Jenny and Lily were thorough with the pre polish. Taking their time to file and remove cuticles and hand nails. I don't think any salon has ever taken this much time before. They also buffed out our nail bed for smooth application. DD has a cat eye gel which she was so fascinated with. Jenny matched the color of the picture spot on. Also, I wanted a leopard print design. Lily did the red on alternating fingers and Jenny did the actual design. Wow. So impressed that she did this bloom gel technique that matches the picture I showed her too. Even the base of the tan was spot on. So impressed with the whole experience and couldn't be happier. It's been 5 days and both our manicures look pretty fresh still. I am now a believer of gel manicure and will only be doing them vs regular manicures from now on thanks to this salon. If I lived down here, this would definitely be my go to nail salon.

I've been to plenty of salons where it feels like the goal is to get you in and out of the chair as quickly as possible. That has never been my experience at Pink Nails. Yes, some of the ladies speak Vietnamese with one another. Some of the staff are more comfortable speaking Vietnamese than English, and I've never had a problem with that. Assuming that because people are speaking a language you don't understand they must be talking about or making fun of customers is simply speculation. Their prices may be a little higher than some other salons in the area, but to me, they're absolutely worth it. I'd much rather pay a little more and have someone take their time and do a beautiful job than feel rushed out the door. In more than a decade of coming here, I have received nothing but superb, respectful service from Molly and her team. Keep it up, ladies! You have a very loyal customer in me.

I now see why they were empty. Such a rush job, both manicure and pedicure was done in under 30 minutes and if I had use one word to describe the workers atitude, it would be indifference. I liked that there is plenty of street parking here and the hot stones for the pedicure were a nice touch but like everything else, it was done hastily and over too fast. I wouldn't be coming back. $60 with tip for a regular manicure and pedicure with lack of effort and rushed work is not my cup of tea. Maybe if you want it done fast and don't care about the results, then you might be ok coming here.

After waiting more than 20 minutes without any updates, I politely asked when I could expect to be seen. The employees began speaking among themselves, but no one provided me with an answer. I asked again if they could please let me know approximately what time I would be attended to. One of the employees smiled and responded, "Until 2 p.m., or you come back tomorrow?" Thinking there had been some confusion and that she may have mistaken me for another customer, I explained that I had a 12:30 appointment. She replied, "I know, sorry," and then laughed about the situation. The issue was not the wait itself, it was the lack of communication, disregard for my scheduled appointment, and the unprofessional response when I asked for clarification. If the salon was running behind schedule, a simple explanation and realistic wait time would have been appreciated. Unfortunately, this experience left a very poor first impression. Needless to say, I will not be returning. Better appointment management and customer service would go a long way toward improving the customer experience.

Despite its modest interior and strategically positioned fans during the summertime, I will go here to get my usual mani pedi over the ritziest massage chairs and spa grade foot tubs. What puts them over the rest is the quality and prices. They're cash only so that allows them the competitive prices. They also take Zelle so you don't have to fumble in your wallet post manicure for cash. I usually get polishes with fun colors so I don't bother with gel, so I can take it off within a few weeks or so. Every single tech there (Tina and April come to mind but there's also two more whose names escape me at the moment) can polish my fingernails and toe nails and dry them in 45 min flat, with nary any texture on the nail surface. They also can do the artificial nail, tips, gel, and powder and other aesthetician services I haven't tried. On top of the great work, it's served with a smile. It's like going to a family party. You lowkey get a mini therapy sesh while they massage your feet, hands, and forearms. What really touches me is that they don't push extra services on you. The customer service is the real icing on the cake. As I write this review I'm already planning to go back, so word of warning to call for an appointment as they can take only walk ins if you time it right. And that already tells you enough about them as it is.

Unfortunately, this appointment fell well below that standard. I was originally quoted $80 for a Gel-X set, but once I arrived I was told there would be an additional $10 charge just to remove my existing Gel-X. From there, nearly every option came with another surcharge. Glitter was an additional charge, and placing the glitter at the base of the nail instead of the tip increased the price even further. The pricing structure felt confusing and constantly changing, making it difficult to know what the final cost would be. After hearing the additional charges, I decided against getting a new set and paid $45 for a manicure after the Gel-X removal. For $45, I expected my natural nails to leave looking polished and professionally finished. Instead, I left with: * Jagged, uneven nail edges that were not properly filed * Visible product residue still left on multiple nails * Uneven nail surfaces * Dry, unfinished cuticles * Nails that looked incomplete rather than professionally manicured I took photos immediately after leaving because I couldn't believe this was the finished result. The service itself was also disappointing. My technician, Annie, repeatedly stopped working on my nails to answer phone calls and attend to other matters. The appointment felt interrupted and rushed instead of relaxing. A manicure should feel calm and focused. This did not. The salon also raised concerns for me. The supply/storage area visible to customers was cluttered and disorganized, and I observed nail files being reused, which made me question the sanitation standards. Even checkout was frustrating. I wanted to leave a tip for the technician who performed my pedicure because she did a nice job, but the payment process made it difficult to direct the gratuity to the correct person. The biggest disappointment is that none of these issues should exist regardless of the price. Whether a manicure costs $25 or $45, customers should leave with nails that are smoothly filed, free of leftover product, and professionally finished. Those are basic expectations--not luxury extras. I left feeling disappointed, overcharged, and with nails that I could have filed more carefully at home myself. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this salon.
