I have been coming here on and off for about 4 years now, and my favorite nail tech is Helena. If I want to do some intricate designs, she is the girl! She always picks out the right colors and does an amazing job every time. I had made an appointment for 1pm but ended up being free at 12pm, and they were still able to fit me in even while being very busy. Jing did my nails and she did a fantastic job. I have been in love with getting French tips lately, and I love love loooove the way they turned out! The pink/nude is the right color, and the French tip looks great. I also got a pedicure, and the massage chairs are very comfortable. The shop itself is very clean and organized, and they have so many colors and charms to choose from. There is plenty of parking, but there are many people who are unable to park between the lines. I always get Gel-X and have rarely had any issues. I've only slammed my hand onto a table and broken a nail once, but other than that, they last me months if I don't get them removed or redone. It's definitely recommended to call in/text to make an appointment first as they get very busy. I like to get a quote on the design I get while making my appointment. What a nasty nail salon! First of all expect to see them using the same nail clippers without sanitizing it !!! They literally use it without cleaning. Also the tech was literally blind ! She started paining my nails and all the skin around it without cleaning at the end. The gel was done in less than 25 minutes because she did not clean my cuticles AT ALL. The shapes are off !! Oh and when I walked in the price was $45 for gel but by the time we finished it was $65 I don't know how and what trick they use but they did . And when I gave her $10 tip made it $75 but it's not worth a penny... Do yourself a favor and don't go here ! read more

I've been coming here for years and i've only had once incident with my nails however they ended up fixing all of them with a discount since they messed up my nails twice ... but I did appreciate that they did that for me. Last time I went, Mao Mao helped me and did an amazing job with my nails I will be coming back and ask for her for now on. Same day appointment was made fast and easy. As soon as I stepped in they were really fast to assist and really nice. I got my nails done here a couple times now. I usually like to go try out new places and find the one for me the long term. I think MJ Nail has made it to my list and one of my go to salons when I need a new set of nails. I have a blue toenail and was hoping to get my pedis done to hide the blue toenail. If you don't have too much time and want a flash quick regular pedicure this is the place for you. You'll be In and out in 15-20min. They definitely rush to finish. They are careless with the nail and cuticle cleaning, 3 second scrub and pat massage and the uneven and patchy varnish application. I can't speak for the other type of gel application or services. But I was not happy with the pedicure I got. I'm a believer of second chances, so will try them once more with a different person and hope for the best and will update my review as needed. Limited regular nail polish colors. No book to choose from, just a little cart with various limited OPI brand nail polish colors. read more

Came in on random day and time just because I've been wanting to get my nails done after a year of neglect...especially for my feet. I'm not picky, but when they did my nails...I left noticing that they were not even at all. One side of my hand was shorter and more pointy than the other side. The ladies worked very quickly and finished both mani and pedi within 25 minutes...30 max. Good thing about this spot is that is close by the market, starbucks, and where I needed to be later. Place is quiet and the atmosphere is pretty calm. What I wished was for the ladies to not have to rush...the work was meh. Overall paid $65. $35 gel pedi and 30 for gel mani. Next is for my son. I brought him immediately after mine was done to get his toe and fingernails cut and cleaned. This is our first...his first time doing any of this! Reason... I'm terrible at cutting his toes and believe I've messed them up. I needed him to get it fixed. His service cost $45! Just for his nails to get cut and cleaned...ONLY! I almost died. came in for a gel pedicure and no cuticle work was done, and they didn't even apply lotion or cuticle oil at the end.. I also asked the guy to fix the polish on my big toe because it was visibly uneven underneath since I was getting French tip. He drilled off the polish but didn't completely remove the original color, so when he reapplied it, it actually looked worse. I didn't notice how bad it looked until I got to my car and used my phone's flash. You can clearly see the leftover base color underneath the nail.. Unfortunately, it he did not fix it and when I went back inside I kept explaining the very noticeable and obvious issue to the lady and she kept saying she didn't understand and if I needed another layer.. personally don't know many places that charge $45 for a pedicure and don't include any cuticle work. read more

I used to come very often and the staff is very nice but unfortunately it is quite pricey for very low quality design work. They offer nice simple designs like simple white French tips but I don't recommend asking for intricate and advanced designs because they cannot recreate and unfortunately they will not let you know that they don't have the skill to do it and still charge above 115 for a design that looks nothing like the inspiration photo. I haven't had a bad experience here, every nail tech has been through and fast. I'm done with my service in 30-40 mins. My nails needed a refresh, it's been 3 weeks.. one of my nail is cracking. They add extension on the one finger for $5. Total for removal, clean, add gel builder coat and cat eyes style polish is $50. This time Helena assisted me. I look around cause I'm nosy and I see what other girls are getting done for my future inspo and their nails turned out so cute, it gives me an idea of what I would want next. Came to MJ nail salon and I was very impressed with the results! My friend and I got gel pedicures and the service here is SO FAST. Usually when I go to the nail salon it takes at least an hour and when I came to MJ they took less than an hour on my pedicure. They offer regular polish gel polish, and even Japanese gel here. Decided to give MJ a try because my last few visits from my original salon, my gel kept lifting and I was not happy it was not lasting. I called a few days in advance to schedule an appointment and it was quick and easy. Parking was seamless at 11am on a Saturday. It was different when I came out though as I did noticed a lot of people were driving around looking for parking. Scheduled for a gel mani and pedi. Mao mao and a male gentleman helped me during my appointment. Maomao did my manicure and the male did my pedicure. Got to say this was the FASTEST nail appointment Ive ever experience with 33mins and I waited maybe 5-6min in the lobby. They were both friendly and thorough. Very minimal conversation. My gel was not uneven, blotchy, nails are shaped nicely and how fast they finished, i was afraid it wasnt going to look good but it came out nice. Also due to it being my first time, I was afraid of going with a design and paying for something I wouldnt like so I picked a solid color but will most likely come back and try designs. Overall, paid $80 for mani and pedi without tip. They accept credit card, venmo and cash payment. No fees for credit card payment and everything was quick and seamless. They card terminal doesnt automatically have the tip calculator so you apply the tip on the receipt. I think the only thing that I didnt enjoyed from my visit was that the store had their doors open so it was really noisy, there was flies flying around which i saw was also bothering some other customers and they had their tvs on but didnt have anything playing so they couldve had some better ambiance for their customers. I came here for the first time on Friday evening. I wanted to give them a try since their reviews were good. I asked for a fill (acrylic) and they told me they don't de acrylic, which is crazy. Maybe she just didn't want to do it. But she told me she'd do the clear coat that they use for Gel X. She put the coat on and then immediately started painting my nails. She didn't file them, even them out, buffer them, nothing. It felt so rushed. They look so bad, so bumpy and nails going in different directions. I paid $60 dollars for this. Nails were not cleaned (just filed, buffed, cuticle oil and a few seconds hand massage) Had a basic pedi done with two different people.
