They are careless with the nail and cuticle cleaning, 3 second scrub and pat massage and the uneven and patchy varnish application. I can't speak for the other type of gel application or services. But I was not happy with the pedicure I got. I'm a believer of second chances, so will try them once more with a different person and hope for the best and will update my review as needed. Came in on random day and time just because I've been wanting to get my nails done after a year of neglect...especially for my feet. I'm not picky, but when they did my nails...I left noticing that they were not even at all. One side of my hand was shorter and more pointy than the other side. The ladies worked very quickly and finished both mani and pedi within 25 minutes...30 max. Good thing about this spot is that is close by the market, starbucks, and where I needed to be later. They add extension on the one finger for $5. Total for removal, clean, add gel builder coat and cat eyes style polish is $50. Decided to give MJ a try because my last few visits from my original salon, my gel kept lifting and I was not happy it was not lasting. I called a few days in advance to schedule an appointment and it was quick and easy. Parking was seamless at 11am on a Saturday. It was different when I came out though as I did noticed a lot of people were driving around looking for parking. Scheduled for a gel mani and pedi. Mao mao and a male gentleman helped me during my appointment. Maomao did my manicure and the male did my pedicure. Got to say this was the FASTEST nail appointment Ive ever experience with 33mins and I waited maybe 5-6min in the lobby. They were both friendly and thorough. Very minimal conversation. My gel was not uneven, blotchy, nails are shaped nicely and how fast they finished, i was afraid it wasnt going to look good but it came out nice. Also due to it being my first time, I was afraid of going with a design and paying for something I wouldnt like so I picked a solid color but will most likely come back and try designs. Overall, paid $80 for mani and pedi without tip. They accept credit card, venmo and cash payment. No fees for credit card payment and everything was quick and seamless. They card terminal doesnt automatically have the tip calculator so you apply the tip on the receipt. I think the only thing that I didnt enjoyed from my visit was that the store had their doors open so it was really noisy, there was flies flying around which i saw was also bothering some other customers and they had their tvs on but didnt have anything playing so they couldve had some better ambiance for their customers. If you're looking for a quality pedicure experience, I would not recommend this salon. Unfortunately, this was the worst pedicure I have ever received. One of my main concerns was that the tools were not removed from a sealed, sanitized bag, which immediately raised questions about cleanliness and sanitation practices. Additionally, the service felt extremely rushed from start to finish, with very little attention given to proper nail care. My nails were simply trimmed and briefly filed, with minimal cleaning performed. The sequence of the service was also unusual. After being seated, my feet soaked for no more than two minutes before my nails were cut and filed with an electric file. Toe separators were then placed, and my feet were wrapped for the additional $10 callus removal treatment. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I eventually had to request that my nails be properly shaped and cleaned underneath, as this had not been done.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was told that filing would be completed at the end of the pedicure. However, after my gel polish was applied, the technician removed the callus treatment and instructed me to place my feet back into the water to rinse them off. As a result, my freshly polished nails no longer looked fresh or professionally finished. Having to soak my feet after the polish was applied seemed counterproductive and left me disappointed with the final result. Overall, the experience felt rushed, lacked attention to detail, and did not meet the standards I expect from a professional pedicure service. If you're looking for a relaxing pedicure that leaves you feeling pampered and satisfied, this place is not for you. read more

It was her first time so she was a little shy at first. The nail tech that helped her was very friendly and made her feel really comfortable. I appreciated her kind gesture. The total cost for these nails was $95. My karma for cheating on my nail tech I've gone to for years, but she was out of town this weekend. Mani was the worst one I've ever had. I kept trying to simplify my mani choice because my nail tech gave me the impression I was not making sense and there was a lot of telling me the colors I was asking for were not the colors in the picture or me sharing specifics, and them saying back something entirely different.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I kept pausing after hearing the tech say something I didn't say, hoping seconds of just trying to understand would make it clearer for me to understand or figure out how to be clearer lol. Ultimately, they just wanted to get the mani over with and rushed so fast. Did one hand fine and the other not what I said. I should have stopped it there but I honestly was so tired of over explaining, I also hate complaining in a customer service setting so I just kind of prioritized wanting it to be over as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I went to pay, another tech was sitting behind the register and I mentioned that one hand was not what I wanted and they just went "mmm...that'll be $135" at the end of the day, I always want to pay someone for a service they provided so I just paid to get out of there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Pedi was fine. I didn't have a preferred technician until recently. Ella did a wonderful job capturing designs from the inspo pics that I showed her. The problem with only using the drill itself it cannot get all the dried up cuticle or if you have a nail getting ingrown. I understand if you are getting gel nails some places may not soak your nails but [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called ahead and asked for a traditional mani/pedi.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The charge was $45 which is more than reasonable, but expensive if they could not do a good job cleaning up the nails. I really wanted this to be my new go to place because it is near my work, but unfortunately I need to make an appointment at my regular place this weekend and get a true mani/pedi. Which now, double the cost I was spending because I need someone else to do what they are not capable/willing to do. Also, the best they can do is warm "ish" water. I asked for hotter water for soaking my feet for my pedicure and they could not accommodate me. Also, they do the hand and feet massage immediately AFTER polishing which is not good because you can't relax for fear of smearing your nail polish and they are also very careful so you don't get the hand massage you would get at a different salon that does massage before polishing. The restroom could be cleaner, having a working light besides a floor lamp that is going to fall over would be nice and they had no paper towels to dry my hands in the restroom. I could only give it a 2. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Would review much less, but they were nice and not the nail tech fault because it is the location policy and rules and they are doing as they are instructed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So, if you go here for a traditional manicure you will not get that. In over 45 years of going to nail salons, high end and little hole in the walls locations, this is the first that would not soak my hands and do regular cuticle removal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also didn't appreciate the young gentleman that came to speak with me and attempted to gaslight me in thinking what I was asking for never existed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I go to enough places to know it is an actual thing to soak the hands and use the manual cuticle tools. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I still tipped a little over 20% because not nail tech fault.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Again, I only went in for a traditional manicure/pedicure. I cannot speak on any other service they provide. However the quality from my experience has been okay. The gel-X nails will last at most 2 weeks before one nail falls off or they grow out. The service is also a hit or miss. They take walk ins and from my past experience I made an appointment for gel pedicure at 7pm. But since they might've taken too many walk ins or overbooked I ended up getting seated in the chair at 7:15ish and waited another 20ish minutes before a nail technician worked on me. By time she started it was around 7:35pm. It was a bit frustrating having to wait so long, but the nail technician I had did a wonderful job for my pedicure. The place provides standard aspects of a nail salon which include: a reception desk, seating area (small with plush couches), manicure tables, and pedicure chairs. They have a small staff but it looks as though they work very efficiently when customers do come in. Although my appointment started later (original time was 7PM, but didn't get services until 7:10), I'm able to overlook that due to the quality customer service and efficiency.
