Visiting from out of town so went here based on reviews, and they did not disappoint! We had an appointment at 1pm on a Monday but they were able to accomodate us 15 minutes early. From entering to leaving, we received amazing customer service! All the nail techs were super kind and welcoming. After cutting and cleaning, they ask you to double check their work and ensure you are happy with the shape before they begin applying the polish. The prices are also very fair at $30 for regular pedicure and $55 for a gel pedicure with gel removal. They stated that if you are a returning customer, they do not charge for gel removal. There is a free parking garage behind the salon. The bathroom is very clean. There is also a lot to do around the salon, so it's a great place to go if you just want to take a stroll, go shopping, or eat nearby! I would definitely recommend coming here. read more

I had called to request a same day appointment for a gel pedicure and was seen by Karen. She was super kind and made sure to check in with me every step of the pedicure process. Karen was extremely detail oriented and took the time to go back in multiple times (without me asking) to make my toes look perfect! She was also very patient and even took the time to try out multiple shades of polish on my toes to make sure I liked the color I chose. The korean/japanese gel selections here are also massive, I would highly recommend selecting the cateye polish and add design (where they use the magnet) as it reflects beautifully off the nails. If you're looking for a new go-to nail spot in Alhambra I would 100% suggest Friendly Nails! They accept Zelle and also give you a stamp card at the end of your visit. She checked on the water temperature (which was perfect), adjusted my chair to a comfortable setting, and turned on the massage function--a nice touch. The nail tech was kind and efficient, and while we didn't chat much, she was focused and professional. My request is pretty simple: clean up, trim, and paint my nails black--nothing fancy. She handled it well and was especially careful with the polish application, which I appreciated. She also gave me a short calf massage, which was a bit lackluster. I've had better at other places, but I don't consider that a must-have part of the service--it was fine, just not memorable. When we wrapped up, she helped me get my sandals back on, and I paid $30 via Zelle, plus a $10 tip. The vibe was relaxed. A TV screen played YouTube music videos, mostly peaceful nature visuals with calming music. All the nail attendants were very attentive. They don't rush through things but really take time to clean and very gentle, too! I had an ingrown and my attendant was so gentle and stopped if any pain occurred. Keep in mind I have not a mani/pedi in at least a year. I went with 2 others: one was a mani regular ($20) and the other was a mani gel with some icons/designs ($61). For 3 people, only paid $129 which was a great deal. Definitely recommend! read more

Been coming here for a year now, and love their manicure and pedicure service, especially with their Japanese gel option! Unfortunately, today's appointment was quite frustrating, solely due to the stamp card they offer. Long story short, I made an appointment in late November and forgot my card, so Cici, my favorite nail tech, said she would just add it to my card during my next appointment, which was today. Time has gone by, so I understand that maybe she had forgotten what she said, but they did not honor that and said that normally they ask customers to purchase a new card and then ask to combine the stamps to receive the rewards after a number of services. She told Sharon that she gave me a new stamp card - obviously not the case since I only have my one stamp card and never forgot what she said to me about just adding the stamp at my next appointment. They claimed that they gave me a new card? Said that I should just ask for a new card if I forget to bring it to my appointment. But I wasn't offered that because of what Cici had told me. Anyways, if you forget your card and come here often, just buy the card. I would have bought it back in November if they told me straight up. Saved my nails the day before my wedding day. I had a horrible gel manicure earlier in the week and as days went by I hated them more and more. I had a specific style I wanted and the previous shop made a horrific attempt. On a whim on the way home on a Friday I walked in and held my phone out with a photo of the style I was looking for. Without hesitation I was told the name of the style (I had no idea what cat eye was lol) and they can definitely do it. I walked out with an appointment for the next and one less stress to deal with. Been here twice so far and it's been a good experience both times! Expect to spend some time here if you do gel mani and pedi because the nail techs are very meticulous and thorough. It takes about 2-3 hours for both gel mani and pedi from removal to painting. I've had Miao for the first visit in August. She was superb! For my second visit, I had Jessie and Ella for mani and I am very happy with the results! Both ladies are friendly and accommodating! Jessie helped remove and prep my nails and Ella polished and executed the design. I also had someone else do my toes (didn't catch her name). I've been to places that get you in and out quickly, but often do a very sloppy job. Here, I am satisfied with both the quality of the work and quality of the products! I would recommend calling in to book an appointment to secure your time & ensure that there's enough personnel around. Starting prices are fair. Removing older gel polish is $10 (if you get a gel mani, it's waived) and if you desire nail art it's $8 per design. read more

I called Friendly Nails right when they opened earlier today to see if they had availability immediately and for pricing. I wanted a Gel Manicure and Regular Pedicure and was told Japanese Gel Mani is $45 / American Gel Mani is $40, while Regular Pedicure is $25. I told them since I live nearby I could be there within 15 minutes and they accepted! I recommend calling in advance to make sure they have availability, since it is getting close to the holidays I do think they're busier & I did see a walk-in patron get rejected while I was having my nails done due to not having an appointment. I will say that trying to pick more festive holiday colors was a bit difficult with their color offerings - but they were great in letting me see the colors on my nails first and always checked if I liked them. My manicurist was Yoyo and my pedicurist was RongRong. For my manicure I initially wanted a darker glitter green and additional one color on each finger of glitter gold ($5 extra). However, when the glitter green was painted I didn't really like it. I ended up liking a Japanese Gel green color instead. First time for Japanese Gel, so we'll see how long it lasts since I use my hands a lot. For my pedicure I chose a red color. Both Yoyo and RongRong were great. The massage chair was nice, though I did wish it went a little longer since I had to lean over to one side for my manicure at times. In total, my mani/pedi took about 1 hour and 15 mins. Easy parking in the structure on First St. Restroom available in the back of the store was clean. Everyone working in the store was friendly. Will be back! read more
