I gave this business a 4 star rating due to the fact that the girl did a really good jobs on my nails. Quality: I would give her a 4 stars Professionalism / customer service: -1 star if possible. I been to this bussiness more than 9 to 10 times already. I always request for the same girl to do my fingers, my toes are random. The girl that did my finger name is Ella. I tip her well bececause she did a really good job on my fingers. Yet she should know better not to gossip/complain about her customer while she was working on my nails with her coworkers in Mandrain. I might not speak it but i understand everything they gossip about me. Complaining how time consuming is to work on my nails. Every time i go there i spend at least $200 dollars and did not get a postive thank you. I have been so disppointed with their management, she heard her workers are speaking ill of her customer but did not stop her, i sit there listening to them complaining about me yet i could't reply it. Friendly nails is honestly one of the best nail salons ever! This was a walk-in experience for me. Glad to know that they take walk-ins on a Saturday, but definitely call ahead if they're available. As in the name, the staff is very friendly.The space is very cutesy, very demure. Ella was the tech who worked on my nails. She's the best and I would definitely come back to book another appointment with her. I gave her my inspo and she delivered. I've been consistently coming to Friendly Nails for the last few years. I usually call first thing in the morning to check their availability for the same day & if it's too busy I'll ask to book an appointment for the next day or future date. All of the nail techs are great! I request for Cici when I want to do cat-eye or more simple gel manicures. If I want more artsy designs, I'll usually request for Ella or Karen. Gel manis are still $45, with full cat-eye adding an additional $15. Hand drawn art design nails may add between $4-6 per nail, depending on the design; while if you're okay with stickers, it may be $2-3/each. More intricate nail designs will require more time & cost more depending on what it is -- so I would inform them if this is something you want to do so they can allot the right amount of time for your booking. I typically spend about 1.5-2 hours to get my nails done (including removing the previous months' nails, nail trimming, shaping, cuticles, etc.) As stated before: Easy parking in the First St. structure behind the shop. I chose this place to get my nails done for my engagement. I showed her a picture and my only request was to change the color from pink to silver. I ended up getting nothing like the picture. When I tried to ask her to make changes she looked put out and barely corrected them. Visiting from out of town so went here based on reviews, and they did not disappoint! We had an appointment at 1pm on a Monday but they were able to accomodate us 15 minutes early. From entering to leaving, we received amazing customer service! All the nail techs were super kind and welcoming. After cutting and cleaning, they ask you to double check their work and ensure you are happy with the shape before they begin applying the polish. The prices are also very fair at $30 for regular pedicure and $55 for a gel pedicure with gel removal. They stated that if you are a returning customer, they do not charge for gel removal. There is a free parking garage behind the salon. The bathroom is very clean. There is also a lot to do around the salon, so it's a great place to go if you just want to take a stroll, go shopping, or eat nearby! I would definitely recommend coming here. read more

I had called to request a same day appointment for a gel pedicure and was seen by Karen. She was super kind and made sure to check in with me every step of the pedicure process. Karen was extremely detail oriented and took the time to go back in multiple times (without me asking) to make my toes look perfect! She was also very patient and even took the time to try out multiple shades of polish on my toes to make sure I liked the color I chose. The korean/japanese gel selections here are also massive, I would highly recommend selecting the cateye polish and add design (where they use the magnet) as it reflects beautifully off the nails. If you're looking for a new go-to nail spot in Alhambra I would 100% suggest Friendly Nails! They accept Zelle and also give you a stamp card at the end of your visit. You receive $10 off your 5th visit and $20 off your 10th visit! There's also a parking structure behind the salon where you can park for free, and it generally has spaces open. I started going to Friendly Nails when it first opened and I liked it very much. Owner was there and on top of everything. Place looked spotless and clean. The girl that did my pedicure did a good job. However about the place itself I was disappointed this last time as far as the cleanness of the place. The floor seem dirty therr pieces of nails everywhere like they haven't swept at all. For being there early morning whe they had just opened the place should be clean. The seat was dusty and the arm rest and cup holders on the pedicure chair dirty. It makes me wonder how often they clean their supplies they use on everyone. Love this place. Stays true to their name. Recommend calling to make an appointment. I ordered a manicure (cleaning only, no polish) and a pedicure (regular polish), only paid $48. All the nail attendants were very attentive. They don't rush through things but really take time to clean and very gentle, too! I had an ingrown and my attendant was so gentle and stopped if any pain occurred. Keep in mind I have not a mani/pedi in at least a year. I went with 2 others: one was a mani regular ($20) and the other was a mani gel with some icons/designs ($61). For 3 people, only paid $129 which was a great deal. Definitely recommend! read more

10/10 experience!! They were kind enough to let me come in last minute and my nail tech was the best! She was so patient, gentle, meticulous and very thorough with my nails. My previous nail tech completely messed up my nails and so i had tons of tiny cracks at the base of my nail growth but my nail tech here cleaned up my nails very nicely and applied a hard gel to protect my real nails as they grow out. So, after speaking with Sharon I made my appointment. The salon is nice , extremely clean and organized, and modern. All the nail techs are nice /professional and they listen to clients request as I like my nails short/square and I receive what I asked for. Friendly nails provides different nail type services (American or Japanese gel, or traditional etc) so there are options for all different tastes or preferences for clients. Parking is located in the back of the salon in a (parking structure) that is free of charge and the salon is directly across from the movie theater and local restaurants in Alhambra. Been here twice so far and it's been a good experience both times! Expect to spend some time here if you do gel mani and pedi because the nail techs are very meticulous and thorough. It takes about 2-3 hours for both gel mani and pedi from removal to painting. I've had Miao for the first visit in August. She was superb! For my second visit, I had Jessie and Ella for mani and I am very happy with the results! Both ladies are friendly and accommodating! Jessie helped remove and prep my nails and Ella polished and executed the design. I also had someone else do my toes (didn't catch her name). I've been to places that get you in and out quickly, but often do a very sloppy job. Here, I am satisfied with both the quality of the work and quality of the products!
