I was originally quoted $80 for a Gel-X set, but once I arrived I was told there would be an additional $10 charge just to remove my existing Gel-X. From there, nearly every option came with another surcharge. Glitter was an additional charge, and placing the glitter at the base of the nail instead of the tip increased the price even further. The pricing structure felt confusing and constantly changing, making it difficult to know what the final cost would be. After hearing the additional charges, I decided against getting a new set and paid $45 for a manicure after the Gel-X removal. For $45, I expected my natural nails to leave looking polished and professionally finished. Instead, I left with: * Jagged, uneven nail edges that were not properly filed * Visible product residue still left on multiple nails * Uneven nail surfaces * Dry, unfinished cuticles * Nails that looked incomplete rather than professionally manicured I took photos immediately after leaving because I couldn't believe this was the finished result. The service itself was also disappointing. My technician, Annie, repeatedly stopped working on my nails to answer phone calls and attend to other matters. The appointment felt interrupted and rushed instead of relaxing. A manicure should feel calm and focused. This did not. The salon also raised concerns for me. The supply/storage area visible to customers was cluttered and disorganized, and I observed nail files being reused, which made me question the sanitation standards. Even checkout was frustrating. I wanted to leave a tip for the technician who performed my pedicure because she did a nice job, but the payment process made it difficult to direct the gratuity to the correct person. The biggest disappointment is that none of these issues should exist regardless of the price. Whether a manicure costs $25 or $45, customers should leave with nails that are smoothly filed, free of leftover product, and professionally finished. Those are basic expectations--not luxury extras. I left feeling disappointed, overcharged, and with nails that I could have filed more carefully at home myself. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this salon.

Sadly, Superco and Ocean Star are both gone, but rising from the ashes is a bunch of fun stuff, like Smoking Tiger and this jumbo-sized nail salon next door, Magical Nails. Nothing too magical about it, but this busy salon has about 10,000 polish shades to choose from, and a printed menu with prices so you know what you're getting and how much it will be. All the salon chairs have the back massage function which kills two birds with one stone. Easy parking right in front, walk-ins welcome, and no waiting for your mani-pedi. I stuck my nose in to have a look, and was getting beautified just a few moments later. Minus one star for some unnecessary upselling, and a sour face from the greeter when I declined. But a free bottle of water cheered me up. Would I go back? Yes.

The quality of their work is consistently great my nails last, the shaping is precise, and everything is done with attention to detail. My appointment time came and the salon was still closed (I just want to note that my appointment time was 30 minutes after their opening time) and I was waiting outside, unsure if I should just leave or wait. I ended up messaging Trulycure for an update and didn't get an answer. A lady showed up about 5-10 minutes later to open the door, asked if I needed a pedicure and then to sit down on one of the chairs. Now the chairs were really nice, but did not have a built in spa. She had to bring over a tub of water. I wasn't asked which pedicure service I want (I later saw there were multiple options on their menu) and asked me what color I wanted. Andrew had walked in while I was getting my pedicure done. He worked on removing my old set of gelx that I got done elsewhere and put a new set (he did an excellent job at this). I opted for a cat eye effect on my nails since he mentioned there is a promotion at the time. I thought Trulycure is somewhere I want to go back to but after reflecting on my experience of waiting without any communication they were going to be tardy, pedicure gal cutting my toe nails oddly to the point where my big toe nail is growing out not the way I like and the cat eye not being a cat eye (looks like a layer of glitter polish applied), I was completely ready to go back to my usual place.

Because of that, I feel like the nail techs don't have enough time to work carefully, which has led to mistakes. The last time I came in, my nail tech accidentally cut me a little. It wasn't too bad, so I didn't think much of it. Unfortunately, when I came in today, I was cut again, but this time it was much worse. My finger is now swollen and hurts. I've also noticed that the filing and buffing can be pretty rough. Considering my set cost $85, I would expect a little more care and attention during the appointment. I'm including a photo of how my finger was cut for reference. I honestly wish I didn't have to leave this review because I do enjoy coming here, but I hope this feedback helps bring attention to these issues so they can be improved.

I no longer go here, and my last visit was the final straw. The last time I came in, the technician, Cici, was visibly annoyed while doing my nails because it was around 6:30-7:00 PM and close to closing time. My nails were not painted correctly, and when I asked her to fix them, it felt like she didn't want to. As a paying customer, I shouldn't feel like I'm inconveniencing someone for asking that the service be done properly. Unfortunately, this wasn't an isolated issue. The quality of the nail work has been inconsistent, and I've had my nail polish chip multiple times shortly after appointments. On top of that, the customer service is lacking. The staff almost always seems uninterested, do a mediocre job, and still expect high tips. Tips should reflect good service and quality work as well as friendliness. It's called friendly nails but they aren't friendly. how ironic! I will not be returning. It's disappointing because finding a nail salon with both excellent customer service and consistent quality seems harder than it should be. I hope management takes customer feedback seriously and works on improving both the experience and the quality of the services provided. read more

I don't often leave reviews but Friendly Nails really deserves the praise! I have been coming here for about a year, and I have been consistently impressed with their kindness and skill. Today I had the pleasure of having Karen as my nail tech, who was so accommodating and patient (even though I was running late). She matched my nails to the inspo pic I provided and also let me try on a few different colors to help me decide! I've only had amazing experiences here - my friends had Queenie and Yuli for their techs today, and their nails turned out SO gorgeous as well. I've also been a regular of Cici's too, who is also extremely meticulous! The prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality of work they provide, and somehow the nails always last me so long (my last set hung on for 7 weeks and wasn't even peeling when I came back in today, just super grown out)! They even took extra care in sealing our nails after realizing that we have to wash our hands frequently at work. Truly cannot recommend these ladies enough, and I'm so grateful to have found them :) read more

After reading rave reviews about Kiki, I decided to give this place a try for Gel X nails--and I'm so glad I did! Kiki did an amazing job on my nails, and her attention to detail is truly impressive. She was professional, skilled, and made sure my nails turned out exactly how I wanted. The nail tech who did my toes was equally great --she took her time, was very sweet, and ensured everything was perfect. The atmosphere at Friendly Nails is welcoming, and the staff made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. I will definitely be coming back for my future nail appointments. I went to Friendly Nails today and they did an amazing job! They didn't hurt me at all, which is a big deal because I've had bad experiences before. The place is super clean, and Cici made sure to check in with me the whole time--asking if I was comfortable or needed anything. She even offered me water. I was able to get a same-day appointment, which was really convenient. Karen was great as always--she's super thorough and friendly, just like everyone who works there. I'm so happy I found Friendly Nails and Ella! She is an amazing nail tech who truly takes her time to make sure your nails are perfect. In the past, I've spent so much money at other salons, only to have my nails lift or break within two weeks. Not with Ella! Her technique is top-notch, and it really shows (Gel X). I really needed to get my nails done very last minute and I came across this salon. I called in and asked if they take walk ins in about an hour and they did . They even double checked on me cuz I was running late ! But throughout the whole process , they were all very nice and friendly. The prices are reasonable and the designs were great ! I absolutely love my Gel X nails from friendly nails! Ella was super detailed and took her time to make sure every nail was shaped perfectly. Extremely sweet btw. The process was a bit long, but totally worth it -- you can really see the care and precision in the final result. My nails look flawless, feel lightweight but strong, and the color milky pink with a chrome shimmer is gorgeous. Definitely worth the wait! I already be here over 1 year and stick with nail artist Kiki over 3 years. I like their taste and technique, every 2-3 months I will do one time, course the gel is very good and can last at least 2 months even though I do the house work. The staff are very friendly and nice. I will stick with them the next few years. Highly recommended. read more

Every 2-3 months I will be here do my nails by nail artist Kiki, even though I need to drive more than 30mins but I think it's worthy to do that. After I do my nail it will keep more than 2 months, compared with other nail store only keep 3-4 weeks. I like their glu gel and design for my nail. read more

Ling spent a full 2.5 hours working on my nail set, showing incredible patience, precision, and top-tier attention to detail and cuticle care. She even sets up a lovely snack and drink cart with bottled water, tea, chocolates, and rice crackers to keep you comfortable during your appointment. I've officially found my new favorite nail tech! While I was there, I also watched Irene working on another client right beside me, and she did a wonderful job as well! Can't wait to try her works too. I will definitely be back!

I was originally quoted $80 for a Gel-X set, but once I arrived I was told there would be an additional $10 charge just to remove my existing Gel-X. From there, nearly every option came with another surcharge. Glitter was an additional charge, and placing the glitter at the base of the nail instead of the tip increased the price even further. The pricing structure felt confusing and constantly changing, making it difficult to know what the final cost would be. After hearing the additional charges, I decided against getting a new set and paid $45 for a manicure after the Gel-X removal. For $45, I expected my natural nails to leave looking polished and professionally finished. Instead, I left with: * Jagged, uneven nail edges that were not properly filed * Visible product residue still left on multiple nails * Uneven nail surfaces * Dry, unfinished cuticles * Nails that looked incomplete rather than professionally manicured I took photos immediately after leaving because I couldn't believe this was the finished result. The service itself was also disappointing. My technician, Annie, repeatedly stopped working on my nails to answer phone calls and attend to other matters. The appointment felt interrupted and rushed instead of relaxing. A manicure should feel calm and focused. This did not. The salon also raised concerns for me. The supply/storage area visible to customers was cluttered and disorganized, and I observed nail files being reused, which made me question the sanitation standards. Even checkout was frustrating. I wanted to leave a tip for the technician who performed my pedicure because she did a nice job, but the payment process made it difficult to direct the gratuity to the correct person. The biggest disappointment is that none of these issues should exist regardless of the price. Whether a manicure costs $25 or $45, customers should leave with nails that are smoothly filed, free of leftover product, and professionally finished. Those are basic expectations--not luxury extras. I left feeling disappointed, overcharged, and with nails that I could have filed more carefully at home myself. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this salon.
