I needed an electrician and yes I read alot of the yelp reviews from other people on BR Electric before deciding. I have to say I was very pleased with Brian and Matt. They both held up their side of my remodel job by giving the extra customer service and quality of work. Example: after they finished installing recess lights for me, Matt and I could hear a very slight buzz in the dimmer switch. I could of lived with the noise since it was only noticeable with dead silence. But, without saying, its a normal sound with my lights, they made it a point to investigate and rectify the noise. They came back the next week and installed new switches with the problem solved. Alot of businesses need to follow their example of customer service. read more

Our house started blowing fuses on a regular basis, and finally the power wouldn't come back on at all. I called Brian based on good Yelp reviews, and despite already being booked for the day, he came out that night after his last appointment. Turns out the 1921 sub-panel in our house had finally died -- the last original piece of our electrical system. Brian showed us exactly what parts had deteriorated, and then left us with just enough power for the night that was safe to turn back on. He came out with one of his guys the next morning and replaced the whole thing with a modern, up-to-code panel, as well as running a new 220 line from the outside box. They did a good job of cleaning up after themselves, and they also patched up the plaster where they had to make a bigger hole in the hallway for the new enclosure. Brian at BR Electric is absolutely the single best electrician we have ever had the pleasure of hiring. He installed LED recessed lights in two of our rooms and they look perfect. He was quick and reasonably priced. I asked BR Electric to set a simple outlet in my garage, and provided him with the spec. He wanted $2200 to do the job, which seemed outrageous but I was in a hurry and gave him the go ahead. A couple of weeks later, he declares himself done, I pay him and ask PGE to set the meter. PGE says the job has been done so badly, they WON'T set the meter, because as BR Electric has wired the job, I would be charged TWICE for all of the electricity I consume. Epic fail. Failed at the job, outrageous pricing, and PGE still won't set the meter. Go elsewhere. read more

Brian was awesome and I will definitely use him again. We had 3 separate projects we wanted to quoted, and he came out and gave us a written quote for all 3. We decided we only wanted two of them done immediately, and I emailed Brian and setup a time and date. The morning of the install, we decided to only do one of the projects instead of 2. I emailed him to let him know and he said "no problem" He showed up on time, did a great job, and even vacuumed and cleaned up before he left. What else could you ask for? I needed to have electric work done in my house and I randomly pull out some electric contractor companies around my place. After a round of calls down the list, Brian from BR electric picked up my call right away and scheduled a time to come in to take a look at the work I needed done on the same day. He knew exactly what I needed done over the phone so I didn't have to waste any time explaining. I have a long commute to my work so I usually come home late. He made the effort to drop by after I got home from work in the evening and he showed up exactly the time he promised, right before his another work appointment. He then gave me a quote of the work with a very reasonable price! At this point, I am already so impressed with his work ethics and being a honest hard working man! He told me that he would have time in the following Monday or Tuesday and he could make the schedule to fit in my work day so I wouldn't have to take time off for this work. Over the weekend, as promised, he scheduled an appointment with me later in the Monday evening and showed up exactly as the indicated time, and finished the work in a timely manner! With the beautiful work done, he charged me with the exactly quoted price. I am very happy with the work ethics, honesty, and the service provided by Brian! Wow!!!!! Brian is the best ever! He made time to come by the following day and not only assessed the problem ( that I thought was gonna be a really big deal ) but fixed it in 10minutes and only charged me the minimum trip charge! Brian's a nice guy with great stories but can be flakey and overpriced. For one job we had, wanted a job done quickly and he was able to come out the soonest and didn't bother to get other estimates. For a second larger job a few months later, I got a couple of estimates and his was one of the highest. He was also hard to pin down for an appointment. Now prefer to go with an electrician that charges hourly and not by the job. read more

I found out that I had to replace my air conditioning circuit breaker panel at 1:00 p.m. I called BR Electric based on the reviews on Yelp and I was not disappointed. Brian was at my place by 2:30, went back to his shop to get a panel and two breakers, and had the whole thing replaced by 4:30. Glad to have found an electrician that clearly knows his trade and delivers as promised. I had another company (blue line) that came highly recommended from a neighbor and has great yelp reviews too come out before Brian and that dude spent a good 30 minutes knocking on my ceiling trying to figure things out, kept changing his recommendation, said there would be drywall damage and overall made me feel very unsure as to whether adding more recessed lighting would even been worth the trouble. Then Brian took a look (and really, only a look ) and quoted me for 1/2 the price of Blue Line. Uhh, what? I had all kinds of questions based on the previous contractor's concerns and ceiling damage warnings, etc and Brian just brushed it off and said he knew exactly where the beams were and there would be no mess. I was totally confused at the time and he seemed overly confident and reiterated that this was a no-brainer, easy job for him. So I took his word for it, let him do the work the following week which literally took 30 minutes (vs. 4 hours from the other estimate) and it was just as he described. When it comes to electrical, you don't want to take any risks and this is the guy you can feel 100% confident in. I've already had him work on my house 3 times and it will not be the last. read more

But when guys like Brian and Matt came and installed two expensive and very heavy chandeliers from RH - one weighing in over 160lbs - I could not have asked for anyone more professional. Brian and Matt REALLY cared we were happy with the installation, took care with our chandeliers and provided some great advice on installing these heavy lights. They took their time and even installed some needed reinforcement to our ceiling to mount the lights. I suspect if our house ever falls down, the only things hanging will be the chandeliers!
