I signed a contract with Chase Electric to install a 240 volt outlet in my garage through my attic. On the day of the job, his son showed up and changed the plans to route the wire through my crawl space because it was going to be a hot day and it would be easier. I expressed worry and he pressured me to accept this change although he saw I was not comfortable with it. My crawl space is not easily accessible so if anything goes wrong with it, it will be difficult to access and repair. They finished the installation and the outlet works but I have no way of knowing the quality of the work since I can't see it and no one came to check it after it was completed. They finished and the tech left my electric panel wide open and did not lock the latch on the crawl space door leaving it open to rat entry. When I discussed my concerns with Paul, the owner, he was dismissive, yelled at me, disrespectful and rude. I have never been treated this poorly by a business. I have used them in the past for other projects without any issues. I will never use them again. read more

My experience was horrible, I just purchased a new home and needed an electric consult. They promised an electrician at a certain time and left me hanging with no phone calls (until the day after). I tried calling them to find out a status and no one picked up their phone number. I am really impressed with Chase Electric. They came in on-time and got all the work done (replacing two lights, putting a new flushmount, replacing a new exhaust fan) in 2 hours as promised for my Wife's dental Clinic. On the first visit, they connected both the ceiling and the dental light to the same wall switch as the dental light has its own switch connected to it anyway. They discussed it with me and I was ok with it. However, the doctor (wife) wanted them to be operated individually and not be connected to the same switch. I requested them to come back and they came few days later and sorted it out for me without any additional charge. They are truly awesome and I would recommend them to anyone. So far so good. There was an intermittent fault in the line servicing GFI (and other) outlets in the Bathrooms. It blew out completely when my family visitors wound up using a hair dryer, portable heater, washer, dryer and who knows what else. I sent an email on Thanksgiving Sunday and called Monday morning. They sent out a tech who quickly isolated the problem to the electrical panel, one worn out switch controlling those GFI outlets which are near water in the baths. That switch showed it's age as it wouldn't "hold" when I tried to reset it. He didn't have a backup older type switch to swap out so did a jerry-rig (but I assume safe) bypass and said he would be back the next day to complete the repair. I appreciated the prompt, professional response. read more

I started using Chase Electric around two years ago. At first I just had them do some electrical repairs. They did a good job and were reasonably priced. Next I had them install some electric heaters at a property I mange. I also had them install recessed lighting and provide a full permit service upgrade from 50amp to 100 amp. All jobs have gone very well. I did have a call back on the electric heaters but they took care of the problem under warranty, no extra charge. I highly recommend this company. read more

We picked Chase because they offered the lowest price we could find. We'd bought an older house and needed a new main panel, grounded outlets, GFCIs and a bathroom heat/fan unit. Chase installed all of these and fixed our doorbell transformer. Overall their work seemed competent. They were also pleasant to deal with although we had to stay on top of the process to make sure everything got done (we'd made several new demands after the initial contract). I'm giving them a low rating because their workman--I am not sure who--drilled a 3/4" hole through our roof when he was installing cable in our attic. You can see daylight through this hole--three or four inches above the hole he had drilled for the cable--and it is unacceptable and he must have known he did it. But he did not tell us. We found out during the recent "Pineapple Express" storm when we had significant water leakage onto our ceiling. The hole has been there for four months during other storms too. We are waiting to find out whether the water will cause problems with our framing and drywall etc. We've got a temporary fix in place but will have to reshingle that area. Also Chase installed an arc fault circuit breaker for our upstairs bedroom outlets the day before the inspection. Everything passed inspection and then we moved into the house and none of the outlets worked. Chase was slow to respond so we called someone else who found they'd miswired the breaker ground. Apparently AFCIs can be super-sensitive and electricians hate them, so I can understand them not being keen to guarantee ours problem free--but the AFCI wasn't the problem here. read more
