I cannot say enough great things about this company and all the people that were involved in assisting me with a n electric emergency. I own a restaurant in downtown San Jose and I was in a real bind. I called about 20 plus companies including Dalcon and I couldn't find anyone to come and assess the job on such short notice. So many companies just seemed to not care about the situation. Not Dalcon, from the beginning they were completely professional and willing to help even if it meant that their men would be putting in so much overtime. I called on Thursday evening and on Friday morning they came promptly at 8am to assess the job. They gave me a quick and fair estimate. The owner was great in answering all my questions. He was a pleasure to deal with. But I have to give it to Billy for being our saving grace. You have to know that he was a breath of fresh air after dealing with contractors that just weren't doing their job in a timely manner. When Billy came he went above and beyond to get the job done. He brought an apprentice and they worked diligently without really taking a break. I could see that they took it very personally and really wanted to get the job done quickly. The peace of mind in knowing I had someone that cared as much as Billy did to get the job done is not something I ever experienced with a contracted worker. He worked non stop, he worked fast, he explained what he was doing and why throughout the time he was here. He was friendly, kind and just a pleasure to work with. Everyone that met him became very fond of him because he's just such a great guy. When it was all said and done, I can say I won't be looking for another electric company any time in the future. I'd give Rey at Dalcon 5+ stars if they'd let me. My experience: * Needed to replace knob-and-tube to a portion of my home. * Rey was responsive, professional, and a great communicator. * Not many electricians with high Yelp reviews were eager to work with knob-and-tube, so I ended up with only 2 quotes. Dalcon's quote was the higher of the two, but I chose them because (a) Rey gave me a great sense of confidence that I could trust him, and (b) the other companies became very sketchy in their communication. * Rey was prompt for appointments (although some of the others working under Rey were less prompt; one guy had to re-schedule). * Rey set my expectations well, and his team finished in less time than predicted. * Those working under Rey's direction were easy to work with and professional, positive-minded folks. * The work was extremely clean. The team went to great efforts to wear booties to protect our floors, lay down all the appropriate plastic, etc. * Not only did I feel that Rey didn't 'nickle and dime' me, he went to the other extreme of taking care of other things for no extra cost. For example, we had purchased a new dining room light (separate from Dalcon) that due to inventory issues was significantly delayed in its delivery. Rey saved the day by provided his own temporary light that we could use until the new one arrives for no cost (and a nice looking light, I must say). Also, although there was some minor wall damage from their work, Rey had his wall repair guy come out for no charge. Way to go Rey! * And yes, most importantly, the light is working absolutely great! I was having issues with my main breaker overheating and power outages. I called several local electricians--Dalcon had the first appointment available. I scheduled appointment and a very professional field advisor, Rey Inez, showed up on time. His inspection revealed a serious problem within my panel that necessitated immediate action. He gave me a couple of repair/replacement options and I opted for emergency repair plus added dedicated circuit. He made a quick trip to procure needed parts, had power back up within two hours. Dalcon was extremely cooperative in scheduling an early morning Saturday appointment to complete the added circuit. Crew of three (Rey and two others) arrived right on time, completed the work within 1-1/2 hours. My profession is in large commercial construction, and I very much appreciate Dalcon's promptness, efficiency and realistic cost...not something one often encounters when dealing with home repairs. DALCON Electric is fantastic! We found them on San Jose's best electricians and they are phenomenal! One of our locations was down and we needed to get it fixed ASAP and they responded so quickly, we had a quote immediately(and stuck to their quote) and came out to start the job right away! They were able to repair in record time! Their work is so professional and clean, they even cleaned the wires that they didn't work on so that we would be able to see the colors of the wires! I have used Dalcon Electric multiple times and every time the service has been outstanding!! Every time we get a call ahead of time so we know when they are on the way, and they are always willing to work with my schedule. When they arrive they have always make sure they park ok and have a name badge with a picture, which always makes me feel better about them being there! The best part is they listen!! Each person that has been here doing work has taken the time to listen to my issue and then make recommendations on what I really need not just what they want to sell! I haven't had any suprises on adding costs after, and when I did have an issue with a light that was installed, they sent someone to fix it and dealt with the warranty and stood behind the warranty they offered me! I was requested for Dalcon Electric company to send a technician out to check on my Electrical outlets that won't have power. The company sent service technician, Angel Vargas, to my place to work on the issue. He arrived earlier than the promised time which is very nice. Angel was very professional and polite. He waited for me to invite him in. He patiently listen to all the issues I explained to him. He then directly go trouble those issues that I pointed out and gave me an very honest reason why the electrical was out of power and gave the best advise how to avoid the same problems. I would sure use Angel again if I do have problem in the future. I would recommend him for any one who needs help with the electrical problems. I requested a quote on some electrical (installing the Ring device, adding a couple of motion detector lights and replacing one that wasn't working properly). The electrician that was sent out, Carlos Figueroa was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He took the time to explain the process and provided background on the company, their warranties, and services. And the quote was free. After discussing it with my wife, we made the decision to proceed with the work. We were very happy with the work that was done. OUTSTANDING! I called Dalcon Electric to repair a broken bathroom outlet and electrical box. Rafael arrived within an hour of my call. He quickly analyzed the problems and thoroughly explained what needed to be done and why. He gave a very reasonable bid for the repairs needed. Once I approved it, he started the work. When he completed the work, he cleaned up the work area to such a degree that you couldn't even tell he was there. He showed what he had done and made some recommendations about other potential electrical issues. He gave us bids for the future work before leaving. He was on site for less than 3 hours and did a fabulous job. We would recommend Dalcon Electric to anyone needing electrical work. Very responsive company. Had them out to give us an estimate on installing a Ring doorbell. (Our current doorbell is broken, so it was a little trickier than we could handle ourselves.) I highly recommend Carlos Figueroa. He was polite, friendly, confident and knowledgeable. He treated our home with respect and kept things clean as he climbed into our attic to check our transformer. He spent some extra time with us, explaining our situation and various ways we could solve our issue. He also gave us a quick safety inspection (we live in a very old house) and advised us on that as well. Carlos didn't pressure us to make a decision right away and didn't sell us on a lot of services we didn't really need. Our bathroom lights were flickering and changing the bulbs didn't do much to fix it. So we called Dalcon Electric and they sent out an electrician that same day. Rey was the electrician who helped us. He seemed very professional and even wore those socks for his shoes to keep our floors clean. He informed us the reason it was flickering and how he would fix it, which was nice, but really we just wanted it fixed. he then gathered his tools and went back to the bathroom to repair the lights. When the repairs had been completed, he recommended on providing a home inspection. He suggested a service panel upgrade to avoid having any circuits overloaded, but we're tight on money this month and had to postpone that repair until our tax refund comes in. read more

I recently called Dalcon Electric for a problem with some of my outlets. They were very courteous and prompt. Rey came out and walked me through everything he was very detailed. After about an hour and a half he had a complete estimate for me and I agreed on the price and had him perform the work. He was in my home for most of the day and at the end he made sure all his stuff was cleaned up before he left. I felt very comfortable with him in my house. The following day I received a call from the office asking about how all the work was and wanted to make sure I was completely satisfied. It was nice to know they cared about me all the way around. My wife and I noticed some of our lights in our house were sometimes turning off for no reason. We thought we should probably call an electrician. We found Dalcon from their website and called to have someone come out to check out our problem. After they came out, they told me that the problem was an older zinsco service panel. So we had them upgrade our old one to a 200 amp one. They also recommended adding new outlets in the bathrooms for safety reasons. They were professional, and explained the problems and solutions clearly to my wife and me. We were satisfied with their work and the time it took them. I've been really happy with Dalcon based on multiple projects they've done for me over the last 3 years, from fixing light switches, waterproofing outlets in my kitchen, and adding a 220V outlet for an EV charger. Recently when I had an HVAC specialist come to my house and came across the 220V line Dalcon installed for me, the HVAC specialist pointed out that it was high-quality work and that I should feel good about working with them. One of the lighting switches failed in my kitchen, and at the same time the kitchen GFCI started to turn off by itself. I searched on the web for an elecrician in my area and saw good ratings for Dalcon Electric, which I called for service using their online form. They were very quick to respond, even on Sunday, and offered right away appointments for the next two days. One of their technicians, Ken, came on Tuesday and very quickly fixed the problem. Very poor customer service. Got an email confirmation with date and time of appointment. They said someone would show-up between 10am and noon. I waited until 11:45 and decided to call their office to ask when is their guy was coming- had to leave a message because no one picked-up. A women called be back and said she just checked her computer and it said appointment was cancelled due to job being out of area. Why couldn't just call me or text me your reason to cancel? What a waste of time. I can't comment on their electrical ability as a company but they need better front office people. read more

I am so happy with the work that was done. my whole house had to be rewired. Aurelio and Christian did this with hardly any inconvenience to me!! Dan Brenner and Dave Lee came by to see about an outlet that had burned up in the wall. They were polite and courteous and thorough. They checked out damage and gave me an informed account of the damage and what it would take to fix it. He gave me a good, better and best of ways he could do repair and what it would entail and the price of each. There was no pressure. Dan explained everything in detail and answered any questions I might have. I felt a lot safer after he and Carlos left. He also did a safety check with ratings. I would call them again. read more

Christopher and Joshua from Dalcon were here today to install an exhaust fan in the bathroom. They vented the fan to the outside, which hadn't been the case before. They fixed the switch and installed the new fan, then cleaned up all the mess. They made sure we knew how everything worked. Christopher had been here last week fixing damaged outlet. We thought we needed a grounded outlet in another room, but he noted that we did not need that extensive work. Our extension cord was bad! No need for a grounded outlet. Honesty and efficiency.
