Chris Hoerz from Hoerz Electric came to my home to replace a circuit breaker that had been diagnosed as faulty by another HVAC company. After a quick inspection, Chris immediately identified that the circuit breaker was not the problem at all--the main breaker had simply tripped. I really appreciated his honesty, professionalism, and expertise. Instead of replacing parts unnecessarily, he quickly fixed the actual issue and was very straightforward about what needed to be done. He also did not charge me for the full amount that had originally been agreed upon since the repair turned out to be much simpler. It's refreshing to find a contractor who values integrity over making an unnecessary sale. I highly recommend Hoerz Electric and Chris for anyone looking for trustworthy and knowledgeable electrical service. read more

This is an updated review but I can't say how much we recommend Chris and Michael of Hoerz Electric. When they come they always do a good job very professional and will tell us step by step if there's any problems or changes that need to be done we had to have a new panel put into our building being that the old one was outdated and actually surprised our building didn't burn down lol. Their pricing is very fair and if you need any electrical work please give them a try you will not be disappointed! read more

Full disclosure, I know the owner, Chris. He is the son of one of my longtime coworkers. With that said, that is not why I'm reviewing him. I have used him as my exclusive electrician for home improvement projects since he became licensed & we've used him as our preferred choice at my union hall, as his bids have continually won out over competitors to secure jobs for us. He's friendly, professional & extremely competent while providing fair prices for the quality of work he provides. I'd recommend d giving this young man starting out his own small business a shot if you need electrical jobs of nearly any scope & purpose a shot. I think you'll be satisfied & impressed by his work & professionalism. read more

Lifelong friends recommended Chris Hoerz for some electrical work we wanted done while we were updating our kitchen. We walked the house with Chris, going over our various projects, including eventually updating all the wiring. Chris is collaborative, patient, and extremely easy to work with, and by far the best value for the price. The best part about Chris and Michael is they are willing to do custom work -- without ripping you off. We always get at least three quotes for each job; we'd already obtained four work quotes, but we took the recommendation, and it turned out to be the best decision we've made for the house. Chris and Michael are priceless additions to our home's maintenance. read more

I was looking on Yelp for an electrician in Fremont to help me determine the best option to charge my two EV's. I found Hoerz Electric which had 45 five star reviews. I called Chris in the morning and he was able to come by that afternoon. He recommended that I replace my old breaker panel from 1986 and install two 14-50 outlets. A week later Chris and Michael came by and performed the work. The new breaker panel not only accommodated my EV needs, it also fixed some ceiling light and outlet problems that I had! Had a great experience with Hoertz Electric! Chris and Michael came out to add a few outlets and change out a subpanel, and they did an awesome job. Super meticulous with their work, very clean, and you could tell they really cared about doing things the right way. They were humble, easy to talk to, and really smart in how they approached everything, offering helpful suggestions and explaining things clearly along the way. Don't go by the reviews alone; these guys clearly have 10+ years of experience and it shows in the quality of their work. They were transparent, on time, and the price was very reasonable. Hoerz Electric really went above and beyond installing our level 2 charger. Chris came by for the initial inspection, gave us a fair estimate (way more reasonable than others we got), and then boom -- the job was done fast and spotless. Chris and Michael showed up and knocked it out in under two hours! Chris also helped with the permit process and even showed up on inspection day to make sure everything sailed through -- major peace of mind. He explained each step clearly, so we actually understood what was going on (rare, right?). So glad we found Hoerz Electric -- Chris is officially our go-to electric wizard from here on out! read more

It is the second project with Chris and Michael. I selected Hoerz Electric again because they are really very patient and detail oriented no matter how small the issue is. And they are responsive and have a very flexible schedule. Also price is reasonable. They installed the Google Nest Cam with floodlight and 3 other outdoor next cams with the outdoor GFCI outlets.
