I didn't have a very big project (sub-panel replacement), but he was still the only electrician from Yelp who paid me the courtesy of visiting my house in person before bidding. He was always on time, always responsive to calls and texts, and was just a pleasure to work with overall. As we talked about many things while he was working on the project, I felt like we became good friends. It quickly became apparent to me that I was talking to a real professional, with tons of experience handling projects of scale incomparable to mine. I learned that over his 45 years in the industry, he was involved in very large projects in key roles, managed rewiring of hospitals, stadiums, thousands of amperes of power, he knows it all. No chasing him down for updates, just straight talk about what was happening and the plan. His quote was also incredibly fair especially compared to the competition. My home had solar installed by Sunnova (they were contracted with my home builder), which now is going bankrupt. Sunnova hasn't responded to any inquiries I've had, or helped me even see if my panels are working, for months. So, I basically have an orphan project. I called around to multiple highly ranked solar companies in the area, trying to see if anyone could help, but all of them were either booked out until the end of the year, and/or they didn't take on any projects they themselves didn't install. Rigo did a great job with the 3 things I had done: replacing an electrical panel, replacing 2 light fixtures, and installing a smoke alarm. He was on time, knowledgable, and efficient. I don't think it is necessarily the cheapest option around but with something like this, quality and experience matters and they did a great job and handle permits and such. They did exactly what I asked them to do and were responsive over email and able to ask the exact questions they needed which made things seamless. This is not necessarily a bad thing but they could have probably done some kind of "walk through" around the place and found some additional work for me. Upselling is obviously not always a great practice but in my case, there were some things that I wish I had done and I think they could have suggested them and left it up to me to say yes/no to during the initial inspection. For example my kitchen could definitely use at least 1 additional outlet, I should have probably replaced a 3rd light, and so on. I do respect that they don't try to take you on a ride but since it is probably efficient to do things all at once, may have been helpful to discuss (this was also my bad for not noticing these things before). Rigo did a bunch of smaller things that made a big difference too like taking out the packaging for the lights and the old ones as well as the old electrical panel, clearly labeling all the switches very neatly which was not well done before, answering my questions and explaining things in a way that I (someone with little knowledge about most of this stuff) would understand.

Excellent service at a great price…read more I plugged in a large air compressor into a garage outlet (as I've done for years without issue), turned it on, saw some sparks in the outlet, and lost all power in my garage. I tried resetting all of the fuses and checking for GFCI outlets to reset, but nothing worked. I contacted LHP Electrical through Yelp and got a response within an hour. The next morning, an LHP electrician came to my house on time and fixed the garage power issue and several since-you're-here type issues in an hour or so.
