Never seen a sign like this before.
Rumit P.

Again I was close to empty and this was right near a cell phone repair store I went to so I stopped in to get gas. It is very crowded and cramped, the prices are higher because of the location (Eastern Market) and convenience of being on Pennsylvania Avenue, trash was overflowing, and there were groups of people just hanging out and not getting gas or visiting the convenience store. For a three-minute stop, it wasn't the end of the world, but I was there during the day time and would probably not visit at night.

Ralph repairing the tire and then checking the air pressure in all the tires!

Friendly and honest, quality work for very fair prices. We're very lucky to have an excellent auto shop so close to our home.

I can't say enough good things about Distad's - they get my car in quickly, fair prices, and honest work.

Look I was born and raised in New Jersey so I'm not new to Wawa but they have been raising their profile since I left in 2005. They now enjoy a weird celebrity status that seems like too much for a convenience store but Jersey folks love it and now people in an ever expanding group of states are learning to be unreasonably in love with it too. Ok so they got all your standard convenience store needs and also an expansive food menu, so that's 5/5. This food overall is generally pretty tasty (4/5), as far as one can reasonably expect from a glorified gas station. So all respect there I really appreciate this place for ejat it can snd does do (it could be horrific, have you seen the stuff 7-Eleven claims is safe for human consumption???) But the sandwich engineering is where they stump me: 3/5 The beauty and brilliance of a sandwich or sub is that you layer the ingredients and then get a little bit of everything when you bite into one. Unfortunately Wawa follows the same engineering that the Satan incarnate itself Subway has somehow popularized: throw sh*t in sideways and to hell with the very point of a sandwich at all. Let's review my Thanksgiving Sub case law: 1. Treat the hinge of the sub roll as the bottom of the sandwich for some good awful reason. No one on earth, not even Trump and Epstein have done anything so bad to make the rest of humanity deserve this. In this case they put the serviceable cranberry sauce down there in the crook of the bread. 2. Now that their sociopath store policies have established that your sub is oriented in a v shape instead of sideways like a sane rational human would do, they smush in the stuffing. Tasty enough stuffing though. 3. Now comes the turkey. It's convenience store turkey, so it probably tastes as good or bad as you're thinking it does depending on your personal life choices. So let's review: we have a v shape roll of bread with cranberry at the bottom, stuffing in the middle and turkey just barely inside the top of bread V. -this is bad enough because once you turn it sideways to eat it, because it's a sub and you're not an alien whose never heard of this food vehicle before, you have to choose left or right bites of either turkey and stuffing or stuffing and cranberries thus ruining the entire point of a sandwich - 4. Now the ultimate tragedy of this sandwich tomfoolery: they ladle a bunch of gravy on top of this unholy V, which is brimming with turkey out past the edges of the bread. Said gravy (which like the turkey tastes as good or bad as you think of will) is just spilling over all the sides of the roll. It's not in the sandwich. They have somehow turned my normal sub into some kind of au jus situation where you don't duo it they just pre douse the sandwich for you. What a mess! A tasty mess. But not even an inexpensive mess in exchange for your troubles! This joker cost me about $13! Why don't i just go to a proper sandwich place for that price? In conclusion if you want a standard convenience store I absolutely recommend Wawa. If you want a sandwich that's pretty good but maybe has self esteem issues, I absolutely recommend Wawa. If you just walked into one by accident and decided to look it up on Yelp, I can put your fears to rest and confidently say yes you should stay there and get what roll ups or nicotine pouches you came for. Also their coffee is pretty solid in terms of convenience store coffee which I generally love even though I also love $5 lattes with an $8 pastry.

That was the case here. Before returning the rental vehicle I had to make sure it was topped off. Out of options before getting to the airport area I had to stop here. This place was a nightmare to get into and out of. The stretch of road leaves little margin of error, if you are not paying attention, you will miss the entrance and could possibly cause an accident. Once on the lot, it's like the worst possible scenario of having to get fuel. It appears all common sense goes out the window here as people forget directionality. Then you have to deal with the ignorant ones that will park their vehicle in such a way that they take up more than one pump. On my visit. I ran into this. I did not care and made my way around and parallel parked. The person taking up the pumps had the audacity to honk at me thinking I was intentionally going to hit their vehicle. Sir, if you weren't thinking about only yourself, you would see a world outside of your bubble. I did not go inside, I just paid at the pump. I finished and said a prayer not to be hit before I got back out on the road.

Several fortnights ago I was stranded here having locked myself from entry into my motor wagon. For hours I stood within the confines of this establishment and experienced delight and surprise in many forms. The young women, clubs goers I would assume, dressed in bright, yet minimal garments, shocked at the discovery of water bugs in the bathroom, young men with impassioned spirits (as those of male gender and relatively few years upon this earth generally are) challenging myself to duels and a remarkable selection of prepackaged beverages and "to-go" foodstuffs, accompanied by a wide variety of tobacco products, all showcased in a haunting backlit glow emanating from halogen bulbs, presumably manufactured in a time period near the construction of the pyramids of Giza. Additionally one might note the excellent ingress and egress paths from the main thoroughfare and I do actually believe there may even be music playing. Actually no, there is only a desperate silence radiating from the building, questioning you and your fellow travelers if you have the gall and creativity to create a moment in time that shall clang and clash and ring, heralding an event worthy of sound. Maybe someone vomits behind pump number 3, perhaps a companion knows the lyrics to Nicki Minaj's latest song, and the possibility for a loud discussion on whether joe Rogan is a saint or sinner could echo. It's all up to you, but rest assured, anything less than 5 stars is codswallop.

In two different days, the food preparer has chosen the wrong meat for a sandwich and has neglected to include an ordered extra. Both of these incidents have occurred during off-peak times when very few, if any, prepared food orders were being placed. This leads me to deduce that it's simply carelessness that has caused these errors. Once an order has been fulfilled, the screen is erased -- and there's no record of the order. Worse, your printed receipt for your order when placed at a kiosk provides only a date and order number.... No proof of what you ordered. Pointing out that my order was missing an "extra" item ordered, I was simply ignored. One other thing: the cold drinks section has had empty racks for most of this week. A part of this is likely due to the snowfall a week ago, but for the most part, the streets have been cleared and some of their provisions are being re-stocked... just not the cold drinks. Not to worry: there's a lifetime's supply of Diet Cherry Pepsi available... not that I care.
