We had a giant redwood way too close to our house that was starting to cause all sorts of damage. I procrastinated forever in taking care of it but when I saw the neighbor using this company I called for an estimate. Less than two weeks later it's like there was never a tree there! They did the estimate and the work so quickly. I can't believe how fast there guys were at taking down the tree. I was pretty nervous about it since it was next to a power line, leaning against a gazebo, next to some nice stamped concrete and very close to our house and fence. Miraculously, nothing was damaged in the takedown and they cleaned up nicely too. The guys were all very nice and respectful. There was also a project manager who kept checking in to make sure everything was going good. Office was also fast with communications and even texts! Company scheduled an appointment and changed the time on us. We drove tot he location since it was 30 minutes away. Mike Andrew called us to state he is running 30 minutes late so we waited and while waiting for an hour now I received a text stating that Mike was re routed in another direction and if I would like to reschedule. I called Mike twice he did not answer his phone. I called the office and the lady there told me Mike can't make it today. I explained that they wasted 1 hour and 20 minutes of our time and did not even have the courtesy to call me and inform me instead she just sent me a message. When I asked the reason she stated Mike could not find the address. Google Maps can easily locate the address so that was an excuse. I also stated that if he could not find the address why did he not call me I could help him. This company has the worst customer service and time management. Save your money and time and do not work with them. read more

I have been using BP Tree service for about 25 years. They just finished a job at my house this morning. They trimmed a 30+ year old ornamental pear to make sure branches were not encroaching on the roof, branch ends were not too heavy and the tree was shaped properly. Two years ago they trimmed and added cables to one of our larger trees and since then, it's held up through many wind storms. Today I had them out again trimming and cleaning up another large tree. BP Tree Services was absolutely outstanding in all aspects: providing a clear estimate, the proposed cost itself, and completion of the work. Our project included crown reduction and removing suckers and deadwood (5 years of growth) for four liquid amber and one mulberry (all 50 years old), trimming 2 oak trees with difficult access, and two small areas of foliage trimming to the property line. Every step of the way was completed to perfection. Two of our neighbors independently commented on the outstanding job. We were promised "nothing less than exceeding our expectations" and that was accomplished. The post work clean-up was also outstanding including blowing off any debris from our roof. We had 3 mature redwoods removed from our backyard. From my first call to the final payment, everything was top notch. Great communication with the office staff, Mike the estimator/arborist, the removal crew headed by Neilsen and the stump grinder Wymer. Took a full 9 hours to cut the trees, remove and chip everything and clean up (including neighbor's yard). The stump grinding took a little over an hour the next day. BP's price was the lowest of three estimates. This crew from BP Tree Services did an A plus job. It was awesome watching them work. Called for a quote after a friend recommended them. They sent Pete out the next day! He came out and gave a quote for removing a large sycamore in our backyard as well as stump grinding. Quote was super competitive, and he even gave a bit of helpful advice on a large hedge on our property. The guys came out a few weeks later to do the work, they were punctual, super safe and from what i can tell very efficient. Arrived a bit before 9, were done a little before 5. Left our yard cleaner than they found it. We had a huge limb from our tree overhanging onto the neighbor's property so we called BP Tree Services. They came out to view the situation and gave us an estimate which included cabling the Valley Oak to strengthen it and cutting as much of the heavy limbs as was legally possible. Kevin Smith, manager, explained it all to us and advised that he would return later to be sure everything was beyond satisfactory for us. Brian Sanchez was over 100 feet high in the bucket expertly cutting the branches away for hours. His two co-workers on the ground quickly moved the limbs to the truck to grind and left the grounds and living areas perfectly clean. The end result was outstanding and we couldn't be happier! Pete Wells from BP Tree Services gave me a free estimate over the phone, after viewing the tree (35'+) on Google Maps as well as a couple of photos I sent him. His was one of three estimates I had gathered. His price was reasonable and the company was licensed and insured. After signing the contract online we were scheduled about ten days out for them to do the work. They had our local power company come out a few days early and determine there were no underground power lines in the area of the tree. The tree crew showed up on time and had the tree removed and chipped in about an hour and a half. Afterward, they did an exceptional job of cleaning up the area before they left. The guy with the stump grinder showed up about 2-3 hours later and took precautions to ensure that none of the ground material (roots/dirt) were thrown toward our windows. He made sure to ask if I had any sprinkler lines in the area where he would be working. He removed the stump and ALL of the surface roots. Before leaving he mounded all of the chips and dirt evenly across the area and did a great job of cleaning up. He explaining that I need to water the area regularly to allow the chips/dirt to settle into the ground. I am VERY pleased with the work BP Tree Services has done and would highly recommend them. read more

I also had a fallen tree from a couple of years ago removed which was covered with ivy and climbing roses plus two small dead trees behind it all removed clean to the ground. Last Sunday during the storm I needed an emergency removal of my tree , it was uprooting and was in danger of falling on my house. What a great company! Two years ago I had a tree fall on my house during a storm. I was able to cut the tree myself (with some help), but couldn't manage the large stump on my own. BP was half the cost of the other quotes I received. Also, when they came out to quote the job, they gave me some great advice on my other existing trees (how to manage them and keep them healthy). When the young guys came out to remove the stump, I asked if they could cut the wood down to smaller sizes for me to burn in my fire pit and they were more than happy to do that.
