Pretty standard gas station. There's prices are a tad higher than others in the area, but there's nothing wrong with the facilities. This location also hosts U-Haul rentals, which can be quite useful, though there's also a U-Haul location off of Picard close by the is full service. read more

This gas station has very high prices for the area and doesn't come down in $ when others do. There are two other stations nearby if you go north on Frederick Ave with much better prices and quality service. The lady who owns the station is very rude. I had stopped by to get quotes and accidentally overheard them talking about increasing the service prices to gouge a customer. My mechanic (in the area) also said they're known for unethical practices. They rent U-Hauls but seriously - there's a few U-Haul brands in the area. I've used one and they were super nice and affordable. The area has so many options for gas and moving trucks, so please take your business elsewhere and find kind customer service representatives and fair pricing. read more

We've run into some issues here with them running out of gas during a non-shortage time in the area, so it's very strange. However, BP quality is overall great and we like to come here at least once a month to use our Harris Teeter gas points. We haven't stopped by their convenience stores, but overall I'd say it's a pretty good gas station as far as these things go! read more

My car wouldn't start and I was right at the BP gas station on shady Grove right by the comfort inn. I asked the mechanic who was actually giving a jump to a car if he could please give me a jump so I could get home. He was such a ASSHOLE and said u have to pay me $50. I said I don't have $50 and I'm right here u can't help me. He said NOPE and walked away. I am a woman by myself and he could take a minute out of his way to help me. He was a Spanish older guy who works in the garage at BP. This is HORRIBLE customer service and I wouldn't ever take my car their or purchase gas at a place that is so money hungry that they couldn't help someone. Do not use this location to buy gas nor rent a U-Haul. The inside of the gas station smells like marijuana and the young lady who works there is very rude & unprofessional. I order the U-Haul online & went to pick up my U-Haul from this location. When I arrived I was told that the U-Haul truck was broke and was not drivable. There was no manager onsite. The female worker who assisted me was very rude & refused to give me a refund and lied and entered in the system that I picked up the U-Haul. I had to call U-Haul's corporate office to dispute the charges. read more

Unethical people. The owner of the shop told me they usually charge people and arm and a leg when they come to repair there cars here. That was the first sign of dishonesty and credibility. They run a shady business here. They don't value customers, what they value the most is money. And in no business you treat customers like this. Not even if it's there first time coming. I was coming to change taillight buld when he told me it'll be $20. And to go buy the buld and do it myself. He also insisted not to waste his time when it comes to this. At that moment I went to the gas station repair shop because I was in a hurry and needed to get to work. That is the reason why I allowed them to do it. But in no way it is right to tell a first time customers that you charge an arm and a leg. And to go somewhere else to change the light. You have lost a "life" time customer if you could of done the job right the first time. I can't imagine for anyone else who would trust to go to this place where they charge an "arm and a leg". If you want to get ripped off by unprofessional people that by all means be my guest and go there. Not even in an emergency would I go here. I'm not sure if this applies to the shop or the gas station; nevertheless, I will review the gas station. I have never gotten my car serviced here. Of the stations that I would go to on 355 (Shell, Texaco, 7-Eleven), BP is the cheapest. I use GasFinder and there are very few places that can beat their prices on all levels of gas. I don't trust Sunoco or Gulf because they don't have those on the west coast so I will stick with BP so long as they save me a few bucks every fill-up. Also, unlike many of the gas stations in the area, they have squeegees available for your windshield at each pump. For reference, Shell keeps them all in a bucket in the middle of the station. Minus one star for the fact that this station is a little older and isn't very appealing visually. There isn't a convenience store on the premises either. read more

Do not go here for car servicing. The machanic is extremely rude. I stopped to ask if they checked tire pressure and the gentleman proceeded to tell me that it was easy and that I should know how to check it myself. He then proceded to tell how even his daughter knows how to check her own tire pressure. This was not helpful to me at all. Then he pointed to a self service machine because he did not want to check it. If I knew how to do that I would not have asked for assistance. read more

They definitely charge an "ARM and a LEG" as one of the other reviews said. Raul OVER CHARGED for a job that only called for 1.5 hours in a labor guide. He charged 4 HOURS of labor at $90hr. That's being overcharged $225. They're definitely not professional and definitely shady. Normally when you go into a shop to have work performed on your vehicle, you're presented an estimate. One was not given. Then if you decide to go ahead with having the work done, you usually sign a work order which gives them permission to perform the work. That didn't happen neither. When the work is completed, you're normally given a copy of the work order showing the breakdown of the work performed on your vehicle between parts, labor, tax, and total so you can keep it with your maintenance and repair records. Again, that didn't happen neither. All that was received was a credit card receipt. Local news will be contacted, as well as the Better Business Bureau, and consumer affairs. read more

I like that the gas station appears clean and well maintained. I like that the receipt dispenser works. The price of gasoline at $2.359/gallon also appeared affordable. This gas station si located conveniently near I-270. We were able to get to a pump on the first try so it was not too crowded. Overall, this is a pitstop that I would recommend to friends. read more

I am pissed and just wanted to pass on why.My son has a 73 MG midget. Las a few months back he was driving to my office in Rockville and the MG died on him, a tow truck just happended to drive by and asked if he needed a tow. Gregg wanted a jump but when he told the driver that his alternator was bad the driver would not give him a jump but would tow him to the nearest gas station. He was towed to the BP station on Frederick Ave just south of Shady Grove Rd. he called me that they would not release the car without him paying $120 for their 'service'. I left work and went to the station. The bill listed $60 for the tow, okay, $48.50 for repair and replacement of alternator?? $1.52 for hazardous materials??? and $9.03 for parts?? When I questioned this the 'manager' said that the bill was put in the computer incorrectly and that it was not for repair but to diagnose the problem. Gregg said he knew what the problem was and only wanted a jump. They then redid the bill and instead of repair and replace it was diagnose, with the same exact price. As I questioned further the 'manager' told me he didn't care and if I wanted the car I had to pay the $120. When I got home I sent an email to BP with my complaint. The next day I got a very nice responce that unfortunately that location was a franchise and they would pass the complaint on. Not hearing from anything I filed a complaint with BBB. The BBB has sent them three letters and have not received a response. Shady business practices, would not recommend them for anything. read more
