Car wash was great after long trip to Chicago and back just after a major snow and ice storm.

Most honest merchants I ever met. Could have sold me a tire but they liked my leaky, existing tire…read more And they couldn't determine if a new tire would leak air. To figure out why the tire I have is leaking air, they sent me on my way with extra air in the problematic tire and told me to return when it leaks. No charge!

I've been filling up my back right tire for about 3 weeks now; it was leaking fairly slowly, so I…read moredidn't pay too much attention to it. Until... it started leaking a lot faster and I came out of my mother's house to find that my back right tire looked like... well... the opposite of Angelina Jolie's lips... (certainly not full). So I get to one of the closest gas stations to my mother's house and fill up my tire at the air pump. As I'm doing this, I see a mechanic tend to a Woman's car who had just pulled up out of nowhere. She just pulled up, parked in front of the garages and asked for help. He topped off some liquids, he checked the oil... and he gave her the all clear and sent her on her way. So... I waffled with the idea of going up to him for 10 seconds... and then I was like.. ( I'm gonna get stuck somewhere horrible and wish I would have gone up and talked to this guy) Enter Marco! The Picasso of parts, the Monet of mechanics, the John Belushi of car jockeys. He took one of his industrial jacks in front of the garage, jacked up my car and started inspecting my tire for nails. He felt around with his hands but couldn't find any nails. So he went and got a spray bottle of some soapy substance and started spraying it on the tire, smoothing it across the tire with one hand, and spinning the tire with his other. It was so methodical and smooth- it reminded me of the ghost pottery scene. *Cue Righteous Brother Unchained Melody* So then I got down there on the ground with him and hugged his back as we both spread the soap all over the dirty tire... methodically... slowly... fully, "Let the soap slide between your fingers" he whispered into my ear. Just kidding! But wouldn't that have been great. So, he starts seeing bubbles and finds my hole. Gets a plug, grabs his pliers, and his hole making thing tool and goes to town. I'm telling you, this whole process took Marco probably 5 minutes max. His broad and fine tuned brush strokes were so purposeful and beautiful. After that, he goes around checks the pressure on the rest of my tires, telling me they were too high, lets a little air out of them, and writes me up for 20 dollars. He fixed my 3 week problem in pretty much 6 minutes flat, and was so kind and friendly about the whole thing. I didn't have an appointment. He was definitely busy. He could have told me to: Vaya con dios. But he didn't. He wen't above and beyond and killed it. I will be going back to him, I gave him a 15 dollar tip, because not only was he amazing, he saved me getting a new tire. So really he saved me 100 dollars. THANK YOU Marco!

BEWARE! The repair shop here scams. My truck failed inspection here so I hired the repair shop to…read moredo the work required to pass inspection. A month later and I got my truck back damaged, and in worse condition than when I dropped it off. 1) The front bumper had a deep scratch and dent that looked like a tool fell on it. They denied it happened there. I asked for video footage or a screen capture of when I dropped the truck off showing that it was damaged. They gave me the run around about saying they would show me the video then eventually said they weren't going to show me. I asked for their insurance information to file a claim, they said no. 2) They claimed to have installed a new rack and pinion. If they did, it was installed incorrectly, now the wheels were over steering and causing the tire to rub a sharp corner of the frame. I couldn't even pull it out of parking without it making a crunching sound. How did this pass inspection??? This could have only passed inspection if the inspector completely ignored the fact that the steering was completely messed up. They denied that it was their fault. They said I needed new tires. Another 2 weeks of running around and after showing them that the steering wheel turned 1 1/2 turns to the right and 3 1/2 turns to the left they admitted it was their fault. Two days later they refused to fix the problem. Told me to get out of their shop. I wish I read the Yelp reviews before going to this place. Its a local shop in the center of town. But they are scammers and crooks. I have no idea how my truck came out worse yet passed the inspection? If you went here, have you vehicle double checked by someone else. Know that if you confront them about damages to the vehicle, they will DELAY, DEFLECT then DENY. And the front desk guy will keep saying he needs to wait on the owner who is never available.
