The service representative was friendly, and I booked a two hour slot to have the tires installed. All went well until the bill arrived and with a price well north of $400. When I questioned that total and pointed to the TireRack order email, the staff tried to gaslight me and claimed they don't make contracts with TireRack and are allowed to change the price anyway, pointing a finger at the "if order changes" clause from my Tire Rack email. The mechanic told me that I should have called beforehand (I had) and confirmed the install price (I hadn't, because it was stated in the Tire Rack order email), and that they weren't making money on the install (not my problem, and $91/hour seems in line with the work). The facts are that the order hadn't changed, and I was quoted $182 for installing four tires. Oakton Auto Service Center (associated with Chahel Automotive) is greedy and dishonest. You should take your business elsewhere. I know I will be.

Backstory- called roughly 2 weeks ago because my car needed some items done. We agreed that because the parking lot is small, I'd swing the car over to have them look at it so they could order the parts Saturday- stopped in and someone I've never seen before essentially refused to look at my broken mirror. Saying "well I can tell you now you need a new mirror" ironic considering he hadn't step foot from behind the counter. As he was "too busy" LUCKILY A SHOP WASNT "TOO BUSY"- walked out of there vowing to never go back and called another shop in Falls Church. The gentleman said "bring it on by. Happy to look at it" went to that shop and the nice guy not only looked at it but showed me the parts online to order (spoiler I don't need a new mirror) so I could save money from buying through a dealer. He then went as far as to remove the hanging pieces so they wouldn't damage the paint In conclusion- Schmitz managed to lose out on a broken mirror (purchase and replacement) fixing the cable for the gas tank, oil change, emissions and state inspection, and a car wash all because the guy "was too busy" I suggest finding other places that value customers

After putting $20 bucks into the machine, I headed into the market for something close to drink. To my chagrin, I did not find the cold drinks I wanted to be cold. Looking through drink after drink, I finally found the apple juice to be nice and cold. It was the best two $2.00 I spent at that moment. The cashier was friendly, but it looked like he would rather be somewhere else on a nice hot day like this. If the store has been selling a lot of drinks today, cool. I can understand why all the drink I came across were warm. If the refrigerators for the drinks are malfunctioning, get them fixed. Aside from that, my experience here was good.
