Always a fan of this chain, so we stop into most stores we see in different areas we travel. I love that they have a mix of fandoms on offer - from Disney to Anime. They section items out by genre and type. So, it's easy to find all the different merch with that theme in one area. This one in particular was clean and well organized. They have lots of stuff to look through in a smaller space, so take your time. There is a sale section in the back corner if you want to find some deals! The hubs bought a t-shirt that he liked, and they were doing a BOGO 50% when we were there, so ask if there are any offers going on. Overall: A A fun shop with tons of different genres. This is my second-time visiting here. I love this shop! Everything either Disney related, Harry Potter related, or Anime stuff. And I love their company value: for every $10 spent, BoxLunch donate 1 meal for children worldwide. For every $1 donation=10 meals. You can round up your purchases by donating change for feeding meals! Such a great cause. There is always something new and interesting in here. I was here earlier this week to pick up an online order and ended up spending about 20 minutes browsing anyways. The employee who dealt with my transaction was named Chuck and he provided me excellent customer service. Not only was he fun to chat with, but he was also knowledgeable and courteous. He also saved me some money, which helped tremendously. I also found some treasures in the store that I got along with my original online purchase, which just goes to show the shop's lurid siren call is working. My haul was pretty impressive. I bought some presents for my parents, along with some trinkets and an amazing Drogon tiki mug from Game of Thrones. Chuck was also helpful at recommending products and knew which ones were more in demand. I accidentally bought two of the same item and exchanged it then and there for the aforementioned Drogon and a Jack Skellington soap on a rope (really) with no hassle. I'm just sad that I can't come here all the time since I don't live near the Galleria Mall. Ah well, special trips are always worth taking for a great store like this. read more

There are so many great things to say about this store that I'm not sure where to start. I'm a self proclaimed slightly nerdy girl. The fandoms that I love, I really really love. First and foremost, I am a potthead. I love Harry Potter, everything about Harry Potter and the whole world in which he lives. I may be almost 30 but I'm still waiting for hogwarts letter. I'll forever be waiting!! The Harry Potter section here is BLOODY BRILLIANT. It seems each time I stop in there are more things to tempt me. From clothes, to jewelry, to purses and bags, to home decor, to journals and post it and purely useless items like figurines, they have got it and my brain and heart explode with joy. For those who maybe for some odd reason I'll never understand do not love Harry Potter, this store truly has it all. I like to look at the other sections as well, don't get me wrong! Just to name a few: -Game of Thrones -Star Wars -Friends -Gilmore Girls -Winnie the Pooh -Hello Kitty -Grey's Anatomy -Doctor Who -The Nightmare Before Christmas -Mickey Mouse -Stranger Things Most recently I was looking for a birthday gift for my dad. Every year I get him a gift centered around his sports teams so I wanted to branch out. As a kid, him and I used to watch Bob Ross paint together and he loved it, and often mentions things from the show like "happy clouds", etc. I knew if I could find something it would be here. Sure enough, they have a little section in the back. I ended getting him a t shirt and some themed mints, which he loved! Then, when I got the register, I learned the most amazing thing. Boxlunch has always been one of my favorite stores and this particular location was one of my regular go-tos pre-Covid when I lived in WNY. Recently, I visited WNY with my partner, and keep in mind that he suffers from a mild medical condition that affects his breathing. I understand it's a business's right to refuse service but It's actually quite frustrating when Each location's manager has their own interpretation of how to handle customer facial coverings. For COVID, the mouth and nose must be covered, and his Face-Sheild does just that. To be told otherwise, is insulting, inconsiderate, and intolerant. Especially, when offered/ suggested to shop from outside the store, or online which is an even more degrading thing to say to a loyal customer. Definitely won't be shopping at this location when I visit home ever again. read more

My friends and I traveled to Buffalo just to grab the exclusive Pop figures and it totally did not disappoint! Every dollar was worth it at the moment. But after, my credit card is crying. It is so addictive after you buy your first pop, you just want to collect them all. The employee/cashier will ask you if you want to round up your bill, the spare change will go feed the hungries. read more

Harry Potter, Disney, Star Wars, Pokemon, Stranger Things, Zelda or Scooby Doo fan? You're in luck. Box Lunch is a cheery store full of knick-knacks, t-shirts, jewelry, and other merchandise for the fan-girl or fan-boy in you. I recently bought a Stitch t-shirt for my girlfriend for her birthday and she loved it. It was soft and women's sizes. Score. Like Hot Topic, it can be a little bit on the pricey side. For example, I saw a Vulpix purse that was like $200 bucks. That's insane. But most things are reasonable. The best part is that if you make a purchase of like $20 or more (could be wrong on the dollar amount), they donate money to a food bank. They also have a similar program like Hot Cash where if you spend enough money, they will give you a $15 coupon that can be used when you purchase at least $30 worth of stuff. Great store, only took off a star because some of the salespeople can be kind of annoyingly persistent and some of the prices are high. read more
