Very cool stemware with a rock to help hold it. Weird to see, awesome to hold.

This is a very cute store on Elmwood. Across from Spot coffee and Panera bread it is a store that sells just a little bit of everything. It's basically a fantastic place to find a gift for that person that's actually hard to find a gift for. They have cards, premade and some handmade. Some funny, some pretty, some both. There are a variety of "Buffalo" glasses. Tons of jewelry options. Some hand lotions and soaps. Cookbooks Some clothing for babies to adults, trendy adults to be sure. Knickknacks. More. So many more options. I was impressed. Very. Street parking with those new pay stations that require you know your license plate (I don't). But free after 5pm. 2609

This was an interesting shop in a lot of ways and I came away from it with very mixed feelings. In terms of decor, the attention to detail in this place was kind of crazy. Every metal piece, every shelf, felt custom. In terms of the overall store, I wasn't the biggest fan of it. There were so many things, crammed in such a small space, the shop felt like I was stuck in the most expensive episode of hoarders ever. The whole place was a little overwhelming and a lot expensive. I don't know that well be back.

Everything Elmwood is definitely one of my favorite places to shop in Buffalo for unique gifts! They have an excellent selection of handmade jewelry, soaps, lotions, stationary, decorations, clothing, dishware, wine glasses and picture frames. They have a lot of locally made Buffalo-themed gifts, which I absolutely love! They also have beautiful Christmas gifts during the holiday season. The store is decorated with lights and festive decorations. It's a wonderful place to stop while shopping on Elmwood!

I was disappointed that this shop doesn't stand by their merchandise that I bought just six weeks ago. The purse's stitching has come undone and the zipper pull fell off and isn't repairable. The clerk said that I could buy a new purse if I wanted to, but they don't replace defective products. Such a shame, as I shop there often and really try to support local businesses.

I agree with "everything overpriced"!! Also looks cheap. Some of the "old fashioned" earrings looked "tarnished" to me!

This trendy label appeals to the younger, fashion-conscious, crowd. And then scattered throughout the store, especially in the back, there are styles that look a bit dated and ordinary. There are some high-price designer items as well. I think their jewelry section is rather blah. I've never bought jewelry from them. All sorts of used handbags and practically new shoes. Both my teenage daughter and I have bought clothes from here. Something for everyone. What I like about consigning my gently used clothes with this business is that they itemize the clothing that you give them. When the consignment period is over in 3 months, you know exactly which item sold and how much money you will get for it. Unlike another consignment store in the area that just gives you a number for your items and never tells you exactly what sold. Becomes a mystery. And then you have to hunt all over the place to find your items that didn't sell if you want them back. But here, I ask for items that don't sell back and they keep them for me to pick up within a window of time. They take appointments on their website for consigning your things the first few days of the month only. It's very organized and I appreciate that. They may not take many of the items you hope to consign. But at least they're honest and organized.

I don't normally consider myself a thrifter, but I found this store well-organized by style and size and a mix of trendy and classic selections. The staff is very friendly and helpful! The price tags are different colors and the staff, and signs all over the store will tell you which color tags are on sale and what percentage off. The staff can also help you find things, or find similar items if you like something that doesn't fit. They have ample, clean fitting rooms. They will let you know if something looks good on ya! They have a reward program and I don't remember the exact details but I think it's 1 point per dollar spent and at some number of rewards points you get $5 or $10 off. The Williamsville location only carries ladies clothing but the Elmwood location has some men's selections. I think the only thing I didn't like was when I find something I love but it's not in my size, but the bright side is you can go home and try to find it by searching online. After my visit here, I left with 2 items and hunted down 2 other items I loved but were the wrong size online. It's also a fun place to experiment with styles you may not usually wear. Consignment is by appt only so go to their website to set up a date and time for them to go through your items. There is no pressure to buy and it's a very comfortable shopping environment (I took forever in there to be honest). So come have a look! You never know what you may find.

Riley answered the phone and gave me a quick review of what they had in store and made me realize I better stop in. When I got there, she helped me find the perfect pair. Although they were a half size bigger than what I would have ordered and a different color than I had in mind, they ended up being the perfect Sorel wedge sandal and now I'm obsessed. I also was able to use my 30% off bday coupon, which you can use pretty much everything (excludes Birkenstock and another prestige brand I can't think of). What a great deal! Riley also told me I could "double dip" and head over to Sunshine and Bluebirds (right next door). That's where I found more of the Teleties hair clips. These are so great because they lay flat, which omits the uncomfortable feeling of driving with a clip on the back of your head. Brittany who was working at the store, was beyond friendly and easy to talk to. The customer service alone makes me want to go back to both Research and Design & Sunshine and Bluebirds. Pro tip: add yourself to your mailing list and enter your birthday. You'll get a 30% coupon that I can use at both stores.
