Walked down the main street in Niagara-on-the-lake and we see this cute boutique window…read more My partner goes in and makes a beeline to a jacket from FreePeople, a brand she loves (and has purchased way too much from). The salesperson jogs over: "We don't touch the clothing here, unless we intend to purchase it," she barks. "And that coat is $900," she adds with clear insinuation that she can't afford it. For context, we are a professional 50-year-old couple - and we were actually dressed nicely because we were meeting friends for a nice lunch. We are not teens, who are browsing well-beyond their means. We were appalled and left. And when we later checked out their Google reviews, so many said the same thing: they were treated like second-class citizens. Even worse, the owners respond to each comment, hurling new insults at them. These are very mean-spirited people and we need to stop supporting businesses like this. I encourage you to check out their Google Reviews before spending a dime there.

Come for the vintage, skip the fashion designers and the don't be on the lookout for friendly customer service. You might find yourself having to loudly tell the customer service representatives "NO" because they definitely want you to buy, buy, buy! However, as overprices as the high-end fashion designers are in the front of the store, the vintage area in the back might be your pot of gold! Think "high end thrifting" and be on the lookout for their variety of shoes as well as clothes and beautiful coats! This is a little hidden gem and definitely worth a stop if you can get over the slightly unwelcoming staff.

I went on a weekday around lunch time and it was basically dead in the mall and definitely in the food court. I did see lots of empty storefronts as well, which seems to be a sign of the time for malls these days. The mall was very clean, very modern/up-to-date with the décor and a offered a comfortable, safe shopping experience. If you're in the area and need a mall to shop at, this would be the place and they would probably have what you're seeking.

Visited this fashion outlet mall on our way back from buffalo to Toronto. The mall looked pretty…read moreold and outdated from outside but the inside of the mall was pretty good. It was like any modern mall and was pretty huge although from outside it looks pretty small and old. There is a fashion outlet mall in niagara falls canada as well which is open (not covered) but this one was covered and air conditioned so it was a relief in this extreme heat. The mall had all latest brands. It was not busy at all. We did a little bit of shopping from old navy as there was a sale going on and deals were pretty good. The lady at checkout was very helpful. There was a good selection of clothes available in the mall. The food court was also decent and we bought lunch from krispy chicken which was halal and service was pretty good. Would recommend it to everyone.

Nice selections of Guinness novelty items, Irish traditional more conservative clothing.. those nice sweaters, overcoat would certainly keep you warm and toasty.. but just don't look at the price tag. Make sure you go to the back and have some Irish cuisine, irish tea and desserts. It is a delight to see a little tea shop inside of the store where you can enjoy some Irish home cooking!

Niagara-on-the-Lake is a all about the shopping, history and lake time (it's named for a reason!); and as far as shopping goes, Irish Design should be one of your stops. Beautiful store chalk full of Irish (no surprise there!) products, many made from beautiful Merino wool: socks, hats, blankets and the most beautiful, thick sweaters you've ever seen. Also, a large assortment of scarves, jewelry and all your Irish needs. Whether you're looking for a present for yourself or someone else, if you're willing to open your pocket book VERY wide, this might be just the stop for you. Like most of the stores directly on Queen Street (the main drag in Niagara-on-the-Lake), Irish Design has its prices set high. Although, they DO have a "sale" section and remember, everything is listed in Canadian dollars. They accept credit, cash and US currency and have a lovely tea room, which I did not visit, in the back of the store (bathrooms only available for tea room patrons, no public store washroom!) Irish Design is also located near the [shopping] end of Queen Street, right before the residential strip, couple shops over from King George Theater. Great hours, opening at 9:30am during the weekday. Overall, a cozy shop and unique enough that it should be on your list of places to visit.
