Moving is never an easy or enjoyable process, but the Einstein team made it as smooth and stress-free as possible. I had a long distance move scheduled originally with…read moreanother company that had increased my estimate & kept my deposit just 10 days before my moving day. Due to financial constraints, I decided to store my things locally for now while I relocated. I'm someone who's huge on reviews (non-incentivized) and personal experiences people have with a company or product, so Einstein caught my eye. From the first conversation with the representative when I called, I knew I was in good hands. The conversation was calm, every step was explained, emails and communication was fluid thru moving day. The truck was much bigger than I was expecting as well as the ramp placement at the side of the truck vs the rear which made me nervous, but luckily we were able to make it work in my apartment complex. Sully and Kenan were friendly and understanding overall. Asked questions along the way as needed, and took some of the stress away from what typically comes with a moving day (especially when it comes to this being my first time moving things into a storage unit). I do have to note that the move may have finished sooner had one movers not been out of commission by his lunch choice longer than expected... Also, seeing the feet of my couch during the move has me a bit nervous about how they'll look when I remove my furniture from the unit. From a few feet away when I saw them on the cargo elevator and being placed into the unit, they seemed like they were angled and scratched a bit from positioning during transport. The email after my move stated that I can inform them if I notice any damages, whenever it may be, so I'll have to do a thorough check when I next access or move-out of the unit. Other than that, I would for sure use them again, possibly even for when it's time for that move-out. I recommend this company as an affordable choice for a local move if all the movers are similar to Sully & Kenan who helped with mine. Thanks guys!

BEWARE - BAIT-AND-SWITCH PRICING!…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience with this company deserves one. I chose Firehouse Movers because of their glowing Google reviews, and their initial estimate was very competitive. Unfortunately, the final bill was a complete shock. To begin with, they insisted on a virtual estimate and refused to come out in person and assess the job. This was a 5000 sq ft home full of furniture, and I wanted the most accurate estimate possible. I asked multiple times for an in-person estimate, but my requests were declined. By moving day, I had sold two-bedroom sets and several other large pieces of furniture that were included in the original estimate. Even with significantly fewer items to move, the final price was more than double the original estimate. On the day of the move, I somehow went from needing two trucks, as stated in the estimate, to four. And from 9 to 17 total man hours. At the end of a long day, my husband just wanted them gone, so he reluctantly paid the bill before they could log anymore hours. When I called to discuss the bill, Firehouse claimed I had verbally approved the additional associated costs over the phone, citing a recording, which was completely false. I have asked multiple times for this recording, but I have not received it. That was not a small miscalculation. Our move was grossly underestimated. This whole experience felt misleading and dishonest. Stay away.

Beau, the owner, visited us and gave an estimate that was very competitive. Throughout the move process they had very good communication. Before the move, we packed up most of the things ourselves, but Phoenix offered to have some of their office staff pack up the fragile items like dishes and art work on an hourly rate. This really helped! On the day of the move, they were on time and they brought in 10 people to pack the van and get us on our way quickly. When they moved us, they did not consolidate and transfer our things to another van, our things stayed in the same van until it reached its final destination. When they unpacked, they were very professional and efficient. To summarize, we had a great experience moving with Phoenix Express and I would highly recommend them for anyone to move with!

I did, in frustration, remark that I "shouldn't have let my wife book the move," and I regret saying that. The truth is I approved the decision and take responsibility for choosing Hawk. The only thing I said to their crew was: "Is there a single piece that you didn't damage?" My experience stands, the damage was extensive, the liability payout is meaningless, and Hawk's response only reinforces the problem.

I've used this company twice before and had such a great experience that I've recommended them to…read moremany people. Unfortunately, I feel like the third time was the charm...in the worst way. For some reason, this time I was assigned movers who seemed to have absolutely no sense of urgency. They moved extremely slowly throughout the entire process, to the point that even the leasing agent on the 1st flr commented on how long they were holding up the elevator and potentially damaging it by just having it ait idle and open. Even after that, there still didn't seem to be any urgency to move things along. What was especially frustrating was that instead of one person going downstairs to grab the next item while the other continued working, they seemed to insist on waiting for their partner before going back down. Then they left the dresser just siting outside instead of bringing it in ehich added more time instead of just doing it the first time. My bf was helping some as well because we had to hurry things along. There were several moments where the process could have been much more efficient, but they simply lacked the urgency and teamwork I had experienced with this company previously. The biggest disappointment is that I KNOW what good service from this company looks like. The first two times I used them, I had the same two movers, and they were absolutely amazing, efficient, professional, and constantly moving. If I had those same movers again, I would gladly pay the price because the service was worth it. Unfortunately, these last two movers completely changed my opinion of the company. It's not even about the price. I would rather pay more for good service than pay less and watch a move drag on because there is a lack of urgency. My advice to anyone using this company: take pictures and videos throughout your move, especially when you notice things that appear inefficient or careless. I say this because the company may tell you afterward that the movers worked efficiently, but I have personally experienced what efficient service from this company looks like--and this was not it. I still believe this can be a great company, which is why I'm so disappointed. I went from recommending them to people to seriously questioning whether I would ever use them again. Hopefully management takes this feedback seriously, because the quality of the movers can completely change a customer's experience with an otherwise great company. Also one thing is the guy in blue did try and maybe he was hinder by his partner but still you gotta get better pairs together when it comes to this type of work.

UPDATE: A staff member scheduled a phone call with owner…read moreDominick (Dominic) to call me this morning. We spoke at length. My intention was always to be heard, to receive an apology, and for this company to improve systems so this did not ever happen to another mom or college student young woman. Dominick said he had called from different numbers without leaving a message. I have scammers who regularly call my number, so I have many hang-up calls that did not leave a voicemail. If there isn't a voicemail, it looks like scam calls with the hang-ups. Dominick did listen. He did apologize. And it sounds like he understood the systemic issues that need to be addressed internally to avoid a situation like this in the future. I have changed my rating from ONE STAR to TWO STARS because the actual moving experience with Jason was one of the very worst customer experiences I have ever had with any service provider ever. And that is still true. Dominick did sound like he was already making some internal systems changes to address the many issues that went wrong. I hope that he continues to improve this business. If a customer wants to give this moving company a chance, then I would suggest asking for Dominick if the moving experience starts to go bad in real time. ORIGINAL: This is a caution about using a Luke's Moving Service. The first time I used them, I had a positive experience. In April, the first crew met me in Aledo to pick up a couch and console I bought for my college student. Tyler and Anthony moved the couch to a storage unit in FTW. The guys were helpful and friendly. My daughter and future housemates continued to buy and add furniture to their McCart storage unit. At the end of June, we were moving all this furniture from the storage unit into the rental house near TCU campus. Jason, the crew leader, was horribly rude and unprofessional to me and my daughter. He was angry and took that anger out on my daughter and me for hours. He did not listen and even started to drive to Aledo and arrived at the rental house 45 minutes later. The office must have given him the address from the couch pickup. I told him the rental house address and described exactly where it was near TCU. His failure to listen and his lashing out happened again and again. I am not going to list every instance where he was angry, but it never stopped. For the record, it is currently the end of July 2025. I have tried since BEFORE July 4th to have the owner Dominic (posing as Luke) call me back. He called once in June and left a message. I called back immediately. Since then, he has never returned my repeated calls despite Holly's assurances be would call me back. I have also asked Holly to send me a revised invoice, which she has not done. He commented immediately when I wrote a review in Yelp, but he still didn't call after he said he would in the response. Holly is the office receptionist, and her husband Jason was the crew leader. He treated me so badly throughout the move that his crew member Nolan made a point of coming back into the house by himself afterwards and apologizing for his boss's behavior. Holly continues to tell me owner Dominic will call me, but that hasn't happened. All I wanted to do was tell Dominic about what happened. I hired professional movers to act like professionals. I would not want anyone--especially women and female college students--to be treated the way I was treated. I also posted this in the TCU Parents' Facebook group with 11K members. Buyers beware! The owner has managed to respond here and on Yelp and on social media several times and still hasn't found time to call me back. He called once when I first contacted them. There have NOT been repeated phone calls (messages) from him to me. This is not true.
