Much better than expected! The locals rave about the sandwiches and the wings so I went with some buddies from work. The pastrami sandwich was very good with good slaw and nice fries (not too greasy). Added a fried egg for some extra fun. Also had 5 wings with Buffalo ranch and they were decent. Wings were a little small but nicely crisped and sauce was more heat than ranch which was fine by me. Friendly service and good prices will make this a returner read more

Not a fan. Decent beer selection, but that's about it. I got 3 small chicken fingers and a pile of greasy oil saturated fries for 6.50. The fries were inedible. Mostly everything else I saw looks like Sysco institutional grade food. read more

My fiancé and I wanted to try this place since we haven't been there. May I say it was the best experience at a restaurant thus far. We went on Wednesday around 3:30. We sat at the bar and we were waited on by Lannie I believe. She has been there 19 years and she gave us the most amazing service. She recommended the fish sandwich so we decided to try the fish sandwich and get an order of wings. Amazing food and amazing staff. We will be telling EVERYONE about the great experience and the fantastic food. Definitely a must. read more

Best version of the Pittsburgh sandwich, Primanti's created it but Bowsers perfected it! We come here frequently, service and food are consistent, it is a little wait in comparison to other places but if you want a good sandwich it's worth it. I always order mine with NO SALT, their fries are over salted in my opinion. As far as their other foods, the bowls are really good and salads are decent (I don't care for the cheese they use in the salads). Homemade ranch dressing is awesome and the sneed sauce is perfect. Wings are very good. We usually take our out of town visitors here for at least one meal, so far everyone of them is anxious to come back! Good spot to catch the game with friends! read more

From the outside this place doesn't look like much. Upon entering I was pleasantly surprised at a bright, friendly atmosphere. It is a seat yourself establishment, and it was very busy the night we were there. We got lucky and a table opened up quickly. This place was LOUD. I couldn't hear my husband who was sitting across from me, or the waiter. Their craft beer selection is impressive. Drinks were a bit slow to arrive. We ordered, then waited quite a long time for our food. My son was given a full size chicken fingers and fries, even though we ordered from the kid's menu and he's only 4. We were charged full price but the bill was adjusted when we mentioned we wanted the kids size. The chicken fingers were bland and unimpressive. Chicken and breading, no seasoning whatsoever. I had a Pittsburgh-style chicken salad. It was also unimpressive. There were more fries than lettuce in the salad. Fries were also bland. My husband had a sandwich that he said was okay. All in all, very loud, and the food is overpriced, bland and unimpressive. They have a nice selection of craft beers, but that's not enough to earn our return business. read more

Usually a very long wait and prices are nowhere near comparable to other places in area.

Don't ever come here if you're staying at a hotel near this bar after a wedding. They refuse to serve you more then one drink if they know you came from a wedding because they've had one "bad" experience. Spend your money elsewhere !!! read more

It's a bit noisy and always full, but in this instance, it's a great thing! Large portions at reasonable prices. Tasty food and friendly service! It might take a little while to get your meal, but you can always have one of their many beers on tap while you wait. read more

Great food, amazing service. Kid friendly with a great variety of food options for adults as well as children. My family and I enjoy going to this establishment often. read more

Has potential, but I'd like to see the kitchen help wear gloves, I sat across from the kitchen door and immediately regretted my decision to eat there. Not to mention as the server asked me how my food was i pulled a hair from my mouth. Never again for me, however, it has potential if they clean their act up. read more

Disappointed. I've heard people say they've had great food there...we did not. Maybe it was our choice in food...not sure. My husband & I both had Pittsburgh Sandwiches thinking maybe they would compare to Primanti's. No such luck. If you want fries on Mancini's bread....this place is for you! But if you expect meat...forget it!! Not even enough slaw on it so it was dry. The burger on my husband's Rothlisberger was so thin...we're talking McDonald's burger thin. No way near worth $10. My husband expressed his disappointment to one of the waitresses...she basically agreed & offered more fries?? And to top it all off...my husband posted on Facebook a pic of his burger patty & the comment back from the restaurant was just rude. Never will be back & never will recommend this place!! read more

I like it here because it's close to my home and reasonably priced. I like their salads mainly because they are so big and I like their French fries. Service is good here, everyone is really nice and my kids like their food. It's good bar food if that's what your looking for. read more

Steak salad was not worth the price. If your going to offer a STEAK salad it should be topped with STEAK. There was so many fries you couldn't see the three slices of"Steakem" meat or anything else for that matter. Everything else I have tried has been good. Service was great. read more

Real basic place with character. Very long beer list and some interesting concoctions for food. I was happy with the Kielbasa over fries bowl. Plenty of food and good taste too. Very pleasant waitress. read more

Bowser's - Chicken Wings Near Me - Monaca, Pennsylvania

Place ok for a fast meal the hotels very close. It's an average beer/burger place. I ordered the house special burger, I should have just ordered a hamburger platter would have been good. The beer selection limited and IPA's severely overpriced. I would go again it's a long drive from the nj beach to Pittsburgh. read more

Ive had bbq all across the south and in the northeast. I can say without question this is the best I've ever had. everything was slow cooked to perfection. tons of sauces i've never heard of. great portions and size. you will not find better bbq in western pa. sandwiches and atmosphere great too. hard rec on place read more

We just moved to Monaca, and wanted to try some local places. Let me start by saying, we loved it! It was a little awkward to find, and the exterior made me wonder if it was an ok place to bring our kids. Once we got in, I realized we were all good. Banners of the local senior football and band members hung on the walls, along with other sports memorabilia and pull handles for various draft beers. The atmosphere was exactly what we had been looking for; a cozy hometown bar and grill. The servers were sweet and helpful. Now on to the food! It was great! I like trying different beers, so the wide range of craft beers was nice. The wings were perfectly cooked. Outside was crispy, while the inside was perfectly moist. The southwest ranch sauce was creamy and delicious. Portions were excellent. They do not skimp on the fries. My husband got the Buffalo chicken wrap, and it, too, was delicious. The ingredients were all fresh. So many times we've encountered limp, gross old lettuce and dry, cracking tortillas. Not with this. The wrap was still soft and pliable, and the lettuce was springy and crisp. The buffalo chicken was as well cooked as the wings. I am looking forward to coming back and trying more of their menu. They had a promising burger selection, and some salads that look like they'd make a great lunch. I'm also anticipating getting the chance to try more beers and wing flavors. This was a great first pick for our exploration of our new home! read more

Bowsers, is one of a kind. Foods amazing, staff are crazy friendly, and the beers , lots to pick from and lots on tap. The Brisket fries and banana pudding are life changing. read more

This is a hidden gem with tons of Pittsburgh staples. We attended a craft show and they served food from this place through the venue. It was perfect and hit the spot. Their salad have way too many fries on them so I suggest splitting the salad. Homemade ranch and fresh cut fries, what could be better. Tons of items on the menu to chose from for everyone. read more

It's decent. I like their Bowsers bowls (you can make any sandwich into a bowl with fries and slaw, minus the bread) I get the Matt Sneedwich bowl, it's buffalo chicken, fries, cheese, coleslaw and dressing in a huge bowl. It's pretty darn yummy. Wait staff is amazing and very good at their jobs. Sometimes a wait for your food but that's just because they are pretty busy most of time. read more

Just moved here from Texas and came here because it's right down the street. Was not expecting it to be so yummy. Grilled cheese was amazing and the service was great! read more

I had the pleasure of trying out this restaurant twice in one day at the end of August. Food was great both times. Had the steak salad and later tried the grilled cheese with brisket and that was delicious. If I were to be back in Monaca, Pa. this will be my go to place for brisket. Folks, don't be intimidated by the looks of the restaurant for not having windows. There is an old saying that hole in the wall restaurants are better and that is the case here. This is definitely a neighborhood hangout and also a Pittsburgh Steelers fans hangout. So for the folks staying in the hotels across the street or down the street from here, definitely check it out and don't get intimidated by the looks of this restaurant. Hope to get back for more brisket. read more

I used to order from there very often. On several occasions there where mistakes made but my daughters really liked their salads so I excused them. Last night I order a salad and boneless wings. Pretty simple right? Well I get the food home to my hungry children and open t-z he bag and to my surprise tbe wing sauce covered everything. OK things happen like that I completely understand. Then I open my children's salad and to my surprise and their sadness no French fries. Now when it ruined my daughters meal I was obviously upset, like any father would be. I called bowsers and explained what happened. All I got was some half a?# apology. I felt they should deliver my fries to make my kids meal right. Their are many meal delivery services available. I already did my part by paying for and picking up my food which should've been checked and right before given to me. But they want $15 a hour minimum wage but can't put fries on a salad. I swear since covid restaurants have gotten lazy and feel you should just accept what they give you and you should be greatful. I was asked never to come back because I said "it's not my fault a retard couldn't put fries on a salad" and gladly I won't and will also tell everyone I know not to go there either. Why as consumers are we just forced to deal with their mistakes and be happy about it. I can't take the food without paying, why can they take my money and not give me what I paid for. That's theft to me. I would be charged but the get away with it everyday. read more

I love bowsers! Could eat this almost everyday. I'd probably even choose this as my last meal it I had too to make a choice!

Great food. All the smoked meats are great. Mac n cheese is also great. Staff is very friendly.

I had the brisket plate and it was really good! All of the sides I tried were too notch as well. Their pickup system worked really well too. I will be back for sure! read more

Great sandwiches and salads. Also, they have a great selection of BBQ. Most everyone I know likes their food.

Great local place with great food. Always a good time and it's fun to see a lot of the locals in beaver country have a fun place to get together. Tends to get busy now and then but the wait staff is awesome. read more

I was staying at the local hotel and wanted a drink and a little food. I sat down at the bar, ordered a drink, and looked at the menu. The waiter that I just saw taking out the trash and smoking a cigarette didn't wash his hands, took my drink order gave me a menu. From my seat I saw the nasty kitchen area. Cardboard on the floor covered in grease with trash everywhere. No food for me there... but the drink was affordable, hence the single star. Go hungry or eat somewhere else. It doesn't cost anything to clean up your trash. read more

Bowser's - Chicken Wings Near Me - Monaca, Pennsylvania

I've been back several times to Bowser's and thought that maybe I'd increase the stars on my initial review. Every time, I've had a different waitress and none of them have introduced themselves. The service ranges from bad to dreadful, and my party is often wondering if we've been cut off on our lemon water or raspberry iced tea. I can honestly say that I have yet to have a satisfactory waitress. The wings are their hallmark food, but they look terrible. If I was to give you advice, I'd say go with the chicken tender sandwich. The fries are well below average, too. The sandwiches seem pretty consistent, but the amount of fries you get on the side ranges from 4-5 up to almost filling the basket. I understand why they do it, but I think it's kind of corny to charge for a side of Ranch dressing. No other restaurant I've ever been to does that. read more

I had sort of a middle of the road experience here...my waitress was the sweetest woman on the planet, which is of course always a plus. My food came out very quickly, another plus. The food was...just ok. It was "Smoked Chicken Wednesday" and the waitress told me they smoke it here, so I opted for the smoked chicken wrap. The chicken was good, although there wasn't a lot of it on the sandwich - more coleslaw than chicken. And the wrap it was in was stone cold - would have been much better warmed a little or at least at room temperature. She also encouraged me to get the fries ("they hand cut them here!")...ok, so I don't need much encouragement to get the fries! Flavorwise, good fries. But soggy, which was a letdown, especially because they LOOK great ("hand cut!"). So, I'd give them another chance and wouldn't tell people to stay away. Next time I'll come when I can have a beer...they have quite a selection! read more

Bowser's has the best sandwiches I have ever had! This is way better than primanti's!!! I have never had a bad meal here and the service is always fantastic! read more

The food here is really good, it reminds me of primanti bro's. But a little more mom and pop like.

...this is a great place that serves the "Pittsburgh" style sandwiches. As far as size these are about 1.5x the size of Primanti's. Great on tap beer selection and they have the prices listed! (This seems to be the only place in Pittsburgh that does this.) Everyday they have the beer list updated with information about the brews on tap. read more

Their wings are THE best! Meaty, crispy, and cooked with whichever sauce you like! Also, their fries are not too shabby! Had to update my review... doesn't seem as good as it used to be? And the steak sandwich was like cheap steakum, no the steak/hamburger patty anymore read more

The place is as strange as a place can get away with in Pittsburgh. I expected a bar atmosphere but I'm not sure what it is. But I guess I get surprised frequently when out of NJ because they sensibly sell alcohol most everywhere you eat. There is a bar and it looks like it belongs in someone's basement. But the beer selection is fantastic unlike anyone's basement I've ever been in. The walls are adorned with banners of band fags. I'm sorry but back in the day, long before PC, that's what we called them. And we never used that word the way it's depicted today as to rival the N-word. But I digress. Tables were filled with families which surprised me again since I expected a bar atmosphere. The music was teen pop and mellow indie mix. At first, before entering, I thought I might end up staying here if it was fun. I know I will eat and run but that's ok if it's good food. The menu is bizarre to me but I settled on a salad that was fresh and crispy iceberg and the Heinz Ward Sandwich. From my understanding, it will be lean pastrami with provolone, cole slaw, fries and everything in an Italian roll. Side of gravy if the fries fall out. So the sandwich came out huge! Guy Fieri DD&D's huge. 5" high huge...but disappointing. The bread was sliced not a roll. Not a problem but 1" of the profile. The slaw was the next 3/4", the fries were 3" and the remaining 1/4" left to the meat. My math right? If not the point is there was no more than a 1/4", maybe 5 slices of thin but lean pastrami. If my eyes go foggy back at the hotel room watching the Grammy's I know it's from the carbs overload. And at $9 a sandwich that's a high margin dish. I can say I tried a Pittsburgh Style sandwich but I wouldn't order another one if this is indicative of the ratios. Btw, if you're reading this and you're from Pittsburgh, try out a Jewish Deli or diner anywhere in NJ or NYC and that's a pastrami sandwich Heinz Ward would want his name on it! read more

Pepperoni rolls ,fish and chips , the coleslaw the brisket fries, the brisket grilled cheese all amazing

Justin said I need to give back by doing a review since I found this place through Yelp while road tripping in Philly. They have great reviews on their Pittsburgh sandwiches that didn't fail our unadventurous palates. I ordered the Hines Ward sandwich and Justin ordered the Arnold Palmer. Their appetizer platter is the bomb. Great samples of everything fried: zucchini, jalapeño, fried mac and cheese and mushrooms. Dudz ordered the chicken wings platter and worked well with his Hefeweizen beer and Jaden, the grilled sandwich. Overall, I recommend this place especially to picky Asian palate like Dudz. read more
