Bowser's gave me food poisoning. Seriously. Back in January, me and a few friends ordered take out from Bowser's. I had some kind of Primanti's knockoff sandwich (their sandwiches are all named after sports stars). The bread was soggy, the meat was cold, and the fries were dry. I decided to eat it anyways, and hours later, I had to run to the bathroom. I'll spare you the details, but needless to say, I had a horrible day after that. Any restaurant that serves their food in unsafe conditions should be shut down. I will NEVER step foot in Bowser's again! read more

I love bowsers!! I can honestly say that I haven't had anything here that I haven't been a fan of. The prices on some things might be slightly high but for the gigantic portions that you get its worth it. They offer a take out menu too which is a huge plus when you have two small kids so that always gets bonus points with me. Some of my favorites off the menu are the Cajun Chicken Wrap, the Steak Salad, and any of their Pittsburgh Sandwiches...theyre also famous for their wings with good reason. read more

I was kind of let down by this place. I got the steak pittsburgh style sandwich. There was not much meat, too many fries, and the cole slaw was dry and bland. The wings were very average. The pluses were the hot pepper cheese balls. Best I've ever had. The drink prices were also very fair. The fries were your standard tasty fresh cut fries. The service was also very good. They have an amazing chicken salad. The only thing I didn't like from there were their spaghetti and meat ball for $5.00 on Wednesday's.

Bowsers might be known for their sandwiches, but their salads were really good. But within the last year they stopped adding chunked cheese. They replaced it with stingy shreds. The salads taste completely different without the chunked cheese and are disappointing. read more

Had an unusual taste for Smoked Brisket, and found this place. The smoked meats are great. If you are looking for a 5-star facility, you're in the wrong part of PA. Worst service I've ever received, hands down. My son and I came in for dinner after sitting down no one came over to our table or greeted us. Two more workers came out of the kitchen stood and talked to each other and started refilling peoples drinks. Another girl came out to give another table their receipt. A man walked in the door and sat at the bar and they grabbed him a menu and asked him what he was drinking. Not one person came over to us yet so I walk up to the bar and ask for two menus and order our drinks. The girl ids me and I said yes it's at the table I'll have it for you when you come with our beverages. A different person comes to the table to see my is with no drinks. Retakes our drink order walks back pours them and walks away to give two menus, pours drinks gave it to them and took their food order to two more gentlemmen that just walked in after our drinks were made! UNBELIEVABLE. We walked out I would never spend a dollar on such terrible service! It wasn't even busy there were two families in the dining room other than us. This place has good sandwiches...but the service sucks!! I was one of two people sitting at the bar and not one of the girls working behind the bar would even make eye contact. I was sitting there for five minutes with an empty drink them would not even acknowledge I was there. There food is wonderful and the service is great. All of their foods are named after famous sport players. There bowls are amazing, they consist of either steak, grilled chicken, or breaded chicken. There wings are also great they have 60 cent wings on Mondays and Wednesday. Their Pittsburgh style sandwiches are just like Pramantis but better. They have many other great options that have unfortunately have not been able to try but they look and smell amazing. It is also great for families. I highly recommend it. read more

Use to go to Bowers on a regular basis. The last time took some very good friends and clients the wings were VERY underdone (bloody and cold) and the seasoning on the fries was soooo thick that they too were uneatable! I told the waitress and she said ..."well I can get you some more to take home with you"....and I told her that was unexceptable. We were hungry then, NOT when we got home!
