Decent service, but drive the extra few miles to the next town for breakfast instead! This Diner is a typical country road small town diner. We were looking for something simple and quick so we decided to give it a try. The food while decent, wasn't worth the price, especially when compared to many other places I've been to. The servers were friendly but seemed uninterested in actually helping us or tending to us. The clientele was filled with mostly senior citizens which if you look any different than the average small town guy, will stare at you like you have two heads. Just not a pleasant experience. Lucky the bacon was good so points for that.

Love the Bowmanstown Diner. My family and I all enjoyed our food. Our waitress was very nice. Gravy fries are always a must.

We stopped here after hiking nearby at the Lehigh Gap trail, and the Bowmanstown diner definitely hit the spot. Seating was available outside in a large covered tent or inside the diner. We decided to sit outside and were promptly seated, the waitress came over and took our beverage order. The diner had several specials that night, I ordered the meatloaf with mac and cheese and fresh cut fries. The meatloaf was very good and flavorful, the mac and cheese was lukewarm, the way it came out made me think it was from a pouch. The fries were fried just like I like them, the only thing is they need more salt and pepper, which I was given when requested. Note: Only Cash Accepted

Not so clean inside. Does not accept credit cards, so you have to pay $2.50 extra to use the atm. Food is fair quality.

Best hot roast beef sandwich around. It's all I ever get, with a side of fries and gravy on everything!

Great food. "Real" French fries (meaning no frozen) fried in peanut oil. Just great home cooking.

Mountainhome Diner has been around for years and is your typical diner with all-day breakfast available. It's clean and the staff were exactly what you want in a diner with friendliness and hospitality. I went with a breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant with some well done potatoes. My friend had the scrapple with some scrambled eggs. I also had an orange juice. The orange juice I did not care for. Definitely not fresh squeezed. But the sandwich was excellent along with the potatoes. My friend also loved his coffee and scrapple with egg. My meal came to $11 not including tip. We'd come back!

The current owners since 2017 are husband and wife restaurateurs Ali and Etab Abullattif. The enormous menu features classic staples such as omelets, pancakes, eggs benedict, french toast, waffles, breakfast sandwiches, breakfast wraps, salads, sandwiches, paninis, burgers, seafood entrees, steakhouse entrees, and various Italian specialties too numerous to mention. My family and I visited Mountainhome Diner for lunch on a recent trip to the Poconos. It was actually are last morning on our trip and we were looking for a place to grab lunch before making the drive back to Connecticut. We had driven past the diner several times on previous visits to the area, but had never visited before. We decided to give them a try. It seemed like a classic American diner that you could find just about anywhere. There's no website, no social media accounts, just good old-fashioned diner staples. The staff were friendly and accommodating and they seated us at a booth. A go-to dish that my wife and I both like to get at classic diners is a Greek salad, and Mountainhome Diner's "Big Fat Greek Salad" (chopped iceberg lettuce, crumbled feta, olives, tomato, onions, peppers, grape leaves, house Greek vinegar) sounded like it was just what we were looking for. I ordered mine with gyro while my wife ordered hers with chicken. Those salads really hit the spot! For our sons, we looked to the Kids Menu. Our older son had the "Hot Dog with French fries" while our younger son had the "Chicken Fingers with French fries". They were both very happy with their dishes. We had a nice time at Mountainhome Diner and we're happy that we finally stopped in. We recommend them to anyone visiting the area!
