It was an over cooked patty on rye bread, most definitely not a patty melt. The fries were so salty they burned my lips so I did not eat much. The waitress was sweet and answered any questions we had, but once she brought our food she never came back to check on us even tho there was only one other table. I could have used some water. I checked in and got a Yelp offer for a $2 slammer. Cool!…read more After walking down from the truck stop out on US-36, I was ready for a good meal. The restaurant sits at the corner, and it has 3 tables inside. During my visit, I was the only person who sat inside. Most customers were walk-ins and the took their orders to go. They have a walk-up window and a nice family stopped by as they took their dog for a walk. I would say the bulk of their menu consists of hot dogs and ice cream creations. With such a limited menu, I was still able to walk out a satisfied customer. Amanda was my pleasant server. I started off with a pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious. Still hungry, I tried a chili cheese dog. OK, my appetite was still there, so the cheese nachos finished off my meal. So what about that $2 Slammer? Even though I was full, and even though I know when to say 'when', I ordered the Slammer - it's like a Blizzard at another restaurant. It was very good. Both the exterior and the interior were well kept and clean. The ample size restroom was equally clean and well-kept. I recommend!
