We are not from here and stopped in for breakfast on Sunday Morning and we had the best breakfast we've had in years. Like my Grandma used to make type of breakfast! The biscuits were the absolute best. Wednesday we came in for lunch and had yet another great lunch! I don't think there is anything on that menu that could disappoint. After reading reviews we stopped for supper while traveling through area. My husband had the breaded tenderloin dinner, which was average, but in all fairness we are from Indiana where the tenderloin are amazing so for most the one at Jr Diamonds would probably be considered good. I ordered pork chops after waiting for about 10 minutes waitress came back and told me they were out of them. I then ordered the special of the day, which turned out to be a bowl of dried up macaroni with some kind of sauce that consisted of hunks of tomato in plain tomato sauce, totally awful. When I said something to waitress she said sorry about that and walked away. Needless to say we paid our $29 bill and left. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. When you serve something nasty you should offer to replace it. Maybe locals are use to this type of food and think it's great, we certainly don't recommend wasting your money here. read more

The prices are good, they enforce masks, and the food is delicious. I got the breakfast bowl with a biscuit and it was about 7 dollars. The best part was their soft HOMEMADE biscuit. The service was still quick even though it was a Sunday and it has a very cozy feel inside. This is a great stop for anyone traveling wanting to skip out on the big chains. I've tried quite a few different dishes here. None stood out as exceptional, but all were adequate. Several steps above Denny's, at least. The pie, though, the pie is excellent. My favorite is the coconut cream; my wife loves the chocolate cream. You can buy whole pies if you call ahead, and the prices are very reasonable. I would go back and keep trying different things. I haven't found my favorite dish yet, but I will definitely order more pie. read more

Let me start by saying that the food was great, but the wait staff and locals are racist. I sat down with my girlfriend and a customer sneezed twice and the waitress walks up and says "I think you're allergic to something in here" while they looked our way. Had to beg for water basically. Western Omelet was big disappointment. Mostly green peppers and onions with a little sausage. I didn't want hasbrowns and the server offered to substitute fruit. This place has hands down best burgers, but tonight. I ordered a 3 PC. Chicken with 3 sides n catfish nuggets with 3 sides to go. Drove there n very nice young man took my money n gave me the order. Stopped in for lunch with my motorcycle club (Shadow Riders of STL) today. I had a rueben w/fries (good), many enjoyed the buffet, and they all raved about it and gorged themselves to a near coma. Nice to know I have a good option for dinner on the way to the farm. read more

This is a great independently-owned diner with a friendly atmosphere and good food. It's usually more crowded during breakfast hours, but both breakfast and dinner are good. The diner is in a plaza with a gas station/ repair shop and is popular with locals for breakfast. Overall it's a good place to eat and I recommend it. I recommend the breakfast bowl. read more

We showed up 1 minute before they closed at 8:00pm and they were nice enough to seat a party of 5. Our server was polite and the food came out fast and hot.
