Looks can be deceiving as hell. Trust me on this.

    1) No greeting upon entry - never having been here, staff looked right through us - asked where we should sit. 2) "Hostess" apologizes says they are waiting for their server - just then the rear door opens, "There she is!" 3) The server reeked of marijuana (must have been in weed break she had been on). 4) Two tenderloins and fries w/sodas was our order. 5) Tenderloins tasted of day old grease from several days prior. 6) The frozen fries were seasoned with this same crude oil. 7) The Diet Pepsi tasted wonderful, when there was liquid in my glass. Might have drank too fast due the need to wash the taste of the "food" ou of my mouth. 8) Wife, who has a hard time saying "poo" when it's in her mouth, said, "It wasn't that bad." 9) Go MONOPOLY with this place ... Do Not Pass or Go in.

So this is a regular for myself and my husband. We have been for breakfast, lunch, dinner, just drinks, you name it! From the outside it looks like a saloon! You kind of get that vibe when you walk in. Wood floors, bar, booths... Today we went for the first Friday during lent and had the fried catfish. For $15(ish) this was a really great amount of food! Our bartender was Gabby, who we almost always see there. She is the sweetest person you'll ever meet and will do anything to accommodate you. Keep in mind, with any restaurant that if it's busy, they may only have one server. And that server may be the bartender also. I promise she will get to you and it will be worth it. You will often see the owner, Bear, in the bar. Say hi! He's very friendly!

Excellent Philly Cheese steak sandwich dripping with cheese, overflowing with beef. Also, excellent Reuben, thick with meat, & sauerkraut with tasty sauce.

Reopened this week after being closed for unknown reasons. Some changes to the menu - mainly price increases (understandable) and removal of some fan favorites. Server was attentive but don't arrive hungry because it will take over an hour for food to make it to your table. It's typical bar food which fits the vibe. Atmosphere is still small town bar feel. It is extremely warm so be prepared that the AC doesn't cool the building well.

Western omelette with hashbrowns and white toast.

Ate here 3 times and each time it got worse. Ordered burgers medium well and they came out mooing. Flavorless yuck. Won't be back.

Benefits Bistro is the food service located within Friendship Brewing. My favorite is the Cajun beef which is served on a flatbread. It was not what I expected the first time I ordered it, but, I was pleasantly surprised as it was excellent. It is served with Billy Goat Potato Chips, which is just the perfect combination with a Friendship Kolsch. The Cajun beef is one of those taste that you will remember and crave, requiring you to return to Friendship Brewing and the Bistro to satisfy your hunger. We found Friendship Brewery about six or seven months ago and has been back numerous times since. Everyone who comes here says it is one of their new favorites. The Friendship Brewery has lots of historic beer memorabilia that decorate the old building. A music stage is located on the back of a flatbed truck inside of the restaurant. They also have a very attractive outside dining area. Come to Benefits Bistro and try the Cajun beef or another delectable item, and a fresh brew from Friendship Brewing. Chairs and table was quite wobbly and unstable. My shrimp po boy was ok, shrimp was excellent but bread was dry and crumbly. Wife ordered pulled pork but received Cajun beef, basically sliced deli roast beef with a spicy sauce. Wife's mouth can't handle spicy so 2/3 of the sandwich was left uneaten. Though the place was mostly empty, it took 10 minutes to get my beer order, their in house brewed Andrew's ale, and I wasn't much of a fan of this bitter ale. We won't be back.

Placed an online order to be picked up tonight on my way home, we got a burger and chicken fingers - easy but pricey $50ish a little over & I tipped 15% bc it's a pick up order.. I called the number on the sign it rang once picked up and hung up so I called back. The younger red haired girl (this is important to the review, the main part that made me want to write one actually) answered the phone very rude & asked for my name, when I gave it to her I was in the middle of also telling her what spot I was in & she hung up without any warning. Very confused but okay so I am waiting and the younger red haired girl comes out without a smile on her face - clearly very miserable - I roll my window down and she basically shoves the food in my car and walks away without a word, I get it, it's pick up, but a "thank you" "have a great evening" something would've been nice after spending our hard earned money on dinner. Which the food was very yummy!! But just that one experience ruined it for me, if the take our employees have that attitude.. what's the attitude inside? Sincerely a restaurant worker in a past life & a current customer service rep.. who would get fired for treating customers like this.

We ordered the chicken bites, bruschetta flatbread, and a chicken pomodoro lunch special with the gnocchi in white sauce that comes with a salad. You also get fresh bread with the meal. We received our drinks and the salad promptly. Unfortunately the salad was drenched in dressing and seemed as if it was premade so the lettuce was soggy with no crunch. I made this complaint to our waitress and she just took the salad and left. No apology, no offer to remake just took it and left. Considering the salad is a part of the meal which is why I chose the lunch meal this was disappointing both quality and service wise. The fresh bread tasted great with their balsamic and olive oil! We received our meals a little while later. The chicken bites and chicken pomodoro were good! Unfortunately the bruschetta was a bit burnt. Towards the end of our meal it seemed our waitress disappeared. No offered refills on drink, no boxes offered, no check. We waited for over 15 minutes until we finally got hold of another staff member to help us. Overall with the disappointing quality and service I don't think I'd return.
