Fantastic service and delicious food. A perfect diner! The waitress was so nice and pleasant. Made the best chocolate malt. The hot turkey sandwich was wonderful and the place was amazing and everyone was so friendly. Definitely recommend it when you are in Hannibal, Missouri.

    Bacon and Eggs

As a fan of Mark Twain, I chose to have breakfast here before starting my day in Hannibal. I was a little disappointed that it didn't have any references to Becky on the walls, but it definitely had the looks of a cafe, with its checkerboard floors and homages to the 50s here and there. I kept my meal simple and had bacon and eggs with wheat toast and hash browns. It was good enough to keep me going in the sweltering heat that was creeping around me from outside. The service was good and very attentive. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a comforting breakfast.

Corned Beef Hash and over easy Eggs

The service was great and the food was pretty good. I got the Corned Beef Hash with over easy eggs. The eggs were cooked well, and you could tell the Corned Beef Hash was NOT canned. It tasted good, and the beef had been trimmed up well. Nothin' hangs me up quite like comin' across gristly or fatty beef! They did it well. Ambiance wasn't the greatest, but it was doable.

Food: D Service: B Price: B The omelet was thin, and veggies weren't cooked long enough, which left them hard. The cheese was melted but chewy with no seasoning. All in all I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Our pick

Quick stop for a good diner breakfast! Reasonably priced. We will be back if we are ever in the area.

Poor service, tiny place, food looked greasy and cold. We left after what looked to be a homeless guy wandered in.

She gave us the time we needed, wasn't rushing us at all, and checked on us regularly. The ambiance is definitely a dinette, which is awesome. Our food was very good; 2 Maid-rite burgers that weren't greasy at all, and my wife's sandwich looked great. One of our kids ordered the BBQ Pork Mac & Cheese and it looked and smelled great. They gave it a big thumbs up! We also did the 1/2 stack of onion rings and they were crispy, tasty, and hot. The sauces were good, too. I also had the side of green beans and they were hot, the meat was smoked well, and loved it. The root beer is so good; Fresh, creamy, and not over-carbonated. I've gone to the MTD at least once every time I've been here since I was a little kid and it's always worth the time and money. Thank you for another great meal.

We had one of the most enjoyable meals of our lives here! Service was friendly with a smile and many patient answers for our many questions. Turns out we love Turkish food. We had only had it once or twice before. LaBinnah Bistro is simply magnificent! We started with the Dolma appetizer. I have a soft spot for grape leaves, and these were outstanding! Definitely top three that I've ever had. My wife had the Istanbul shrimp and she loved them. Her boiled potatoes and asparagus were cooked exactly to her liking. I had the Saç Tava, which is Turkish stirfry beef with yellow peppers and tomatoes. I think there was some garlic in it. It was served with the best saffron rice I've ever tasted. We were completely spoiled with this Turkish home cooking. SO GOOD! We had a delicious and reasonably priced bottle of wine and the Godiva tall chocolate cake for dessert. It was moist and delicious but not overpoweringly sweet. Look at my photos of the interior of this place it's just charming and quaint. So lovely. We were visiting from the Kansas City area and we are absolutely enamored with this little restaurant and we will be back as much as possible!!!

Accordingly the Merchants Payments Coalition the credit card surcharge/admin fee, has increased from 2.02% in 2010 to 2.35% in 2024. Now while I agree this seems a little high, it's not catastrophic, and I have trouble believing this 0.33% increase has directly led to this brave new world of bifurcated billing: one price for cash and second price that is somewhat more than 0.33% greater. Well it has at the The Brick Oven, as I was charged 3.75% (see photo). If your going charge me more to use my credit card, then you need inform me. And as the only thing I really demand from capitalism is transparent pricing, do owners really want to start off my dining experience with a review of how it ends? Well instead this place chose to avoid this checkered conversation by annotating the bottom of my bill accordingly. Dining here was supposed to a moment to relax with my wife and think some very Twainian thoughts, and not about conducting some financial analysis. But I guess that's the last memory the owner wants to impart. Our server (the guy who lives above the place), was excellent and I feel bad about taking the difference between 3.75% and my 2% credit card cash back out of his tip, but something must be done. Btw: Whenever I'm asked to choose between paying more or paying cash, I always have a distinct feeling it's less about saving a dollar in credit card fees and more about saving 20 dollars in taxes.
