Stopped in for a cup of tea to go after lunch. You'd never guess from the outside how beautiful the ambiance is inside. It's set up like a bar with warm lighting and little nooks where you can sit and watch the world go by out the front window or have a private conversation in the back on a couch facing a fireplace. Can't comment on the coffee as we didn't get any. They don't advertise tea but they did have...some...in a dusty box... and most of the choices were just unidentifiable bags...but to be fair, I don't think many of their customers come looking for tea. We just stopped in on a road trip, but we'll definitely remember it for coffee next time we pass through. Service was very good. read more

What a great place for early morning pastries! We were visiting the Jellystone resort in Pittsfield, Illinois, and wanted to get some local pastries. We loaded up the grandchildren and headed into town. After a disappointing stop at another local café and bakery, we asked a local resident where a good place was to get some pastries. He pointed across the courthouse Square to a place called The Dome. We packed up the grandkids and headed around the Square. Not wanting to be disappointed, grandma went in to make sure they had pastries and pastries they had: cinnamon twists, raspberry domes, apple swirls, c hocolate croissants,l to name a few, just freshly baked. Reasonably priced at three dollars each, we were able to take one of each and a few duplicates so everybody could have a taste of everything back at the cottage. They even had one with sprinkles which made one grandchild very happy. Being this fresh they were exceptionally flaky pastries, and the fillings were just delicious. So if you're an early riser in the Pittsfield Illinois area, make sure you stop by the dome for a great pastry. And the others have said they do have coffee to go with it and if we decide to stay, find a table or sit up in the front where the couches are and enjoy your treat! read more

Blown away at the quality and consistency of the coffees I order here when I am home visiting my parents around the holidays. Having an Aussie wife and living in NYC the bar is set pretty high for what a good coffee tastes like, and every oat latte and cappuccino we've gotten has been just as good as back home. My wife also always compliments the young staff who greet her with an extra Midwest slice of Americana. Very lucky to have this coffee shop to stop by daily while we're home. Cute little small town shop with a variety of seating options, lovely decor and pleasant coffee. They use a very mellow easy to drink roast that most can enjoy. Especially lots of flavoring syrup to choose from. Brew also has lotus drinks and breakfast food. Quiet place with enough white noise to give you the coffee shop feel. Could be much more amazing if they took the time to manage the environment of the staff. Very hard working staff, trying to do a good job but young and inexperienced. Food and service are great but it comes at a cost: overwhelmed, high stress for the young employees; that do not get paid what they earn, for dealing with the level of stress that they have to handle on their own. It is evident in the day to day interactions of the employees and customers. Could be establishing a very good work environment without raising the wages just by good management and attitude for the staff. Staff burnout is high. Having said that--if you visit make sure to verbalize your appreciation of the great food and service to the employees. read more

The best pork breakfast sandwich in the Midwest! Real coffee drinks (like a big city) and green tea extract energy drinks that I haven't seen anywhere (Lotus). Being a Pittsfield native and have the experience the world of traveling the world I put this up there for Pittsfield! I'm glad we have a place to be able to enjoy a wonderful breakfast and lunch menu. My only suggestion to the owners are to get rid of the plastic Utensils and plates, use real ones! Want great atmosphere, good food and great coffee, then you need to go to Brewed Coffee house. We went there last Saturday 9/4/21 and my grandson gave it a 9 for atmosphere and stated "I can't give it a 10 until I taste the food. His breakfast came and he declared it to be a 10. Not bad for an 8 year old. I had the waffle with bacon, it was delicious. The pastries are fresh and great. Coffees are good, and the prices are reasonable. The owner of this place also owns Nucci's so the service and consistency is awesome. Try it and I think you will agree with me that it's a hidden gem in a small town. read more
