Took my bourbon-loving husband for a date night and I was not expecting to love the food but was surprised!! Everything we ordered was amazing! The brisket was tender and very flavorful, very delicious! My husband had ribs which he raved about! Homemade bbq sauce and ranch were a great touch! Hidden gem! We will be back soon :) read more

Was really looking forward to eating here but place struck out. Ordered fried green tomatoes and they had zero taste and seasoning. At least they took them off the bill. Next up were the shrimp and grits with greens. The greens tasted like they came from a can and were dry. The shrimp were a good size but were also dry and had a BBQ sauce on them which was also on my wife's pizza. This is just lazing cooking when you can make a sauce specific to the dish. At least the drinks were good. read more

Made reservations for 1930. Katie was awesome as our table was ready a few minutes after we checked in. Our food was prepared perfectly, our service was outstanding. We highly recommend this establishment. You cannot go wrong at Bourbons. read more

One of our favorite places for brunch. Servers have always been friendly and have enjoyed our food each time we have been

The food is good however the way they rush you out at the end of the meal is very uncomfortable and rude. We've been twice in the past three months and both times we were rushed out. Bringing boxes while we're still eating, trying to take away glasses that still have an alcoholic beverages in them, clearing the table as we stand to leave, blocking us while clearing, asking us if there is anything else they can bring us repeatedly while we're still eating and drinking. We have never experienced anything like this at any restaurant! Very Disappointed and so uncomfortable that We Will Not Return! Absolutely the WORST customer service experience ever! I get they want to turn over table but OMG this was absolutely ridiculous! I do want mention the noise level is extremely high and it's very difficult to have a conversation with anyone, even across the table! If you want a fun night out in Brighton, a good meal with friends that includes a few drinks and a conversation for more than a few minutes pick somewhere else! SMH read more

Love this place. Have been there three times and the service is always top notch. The menu is fantastic. Love the deep fried pickles!!! I will be back. Worth it. read more

We came last night and we loved it! My only complaint is the ravioli was crazy expensive for what you get. At $16, I would expect a bigger dish. However, the food was really good and the server was great. I would definitely come back! read more

Our first time to Bourbons was disappointing. It was about half full at the time of our visit. It took 15 minutes to get a drink as the bartender was more interested in entertaining friends than waiting on customers. After our drink we moved to a table. The waitstaff was very friendly . I ordered the Blackened grouper which was dry and not very tasty. The Creole sauce was good but could not save the fish. My date has the country Boil. It was acceptable but had little seafood in it for a $ 29 meal. We plan on trying this place again, but will be staying away from the high end of the menu. read more

Very friendly staff, the food was amazing, they are kid friendly and it was clean with a good environment. read more

Bourbons - Low country boil - Southern Near Me - Brighton, Michigan

Had a great lunch. Katie the waitress was awesome. I had the fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Substituted for sweet potatoes. Awesome as well. My wife had Blacked Grouper sandwich. She said she would definitely order it again. Brighton has so many great restaurants but this one is near the top of the list. Can't wait to try something else here. read more

Bourbons - Fried chicken and mashed potatoes. That's my leftovers. Haha - Southern Near Me - Brighton, Michigan

I had an amazing lunch today with my mom. I ordered the arugula salad with blackened salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the salad was very flavorful. Great lunch portion too! We also tried the Vidalia onion dip with sweet potato chips, super yummy! I will be back! read more

We had our first Bourbons experience today and it was great. Drinks, apps, food and service - all excellent!! Stephanie was our waitress - we had a party of 10 and she was funny, attentive and engaged. Yummy bourdon drinks - we tried several different cocktails and all very good. We started with the vidalia onion dip which everyone liked. We had several orders of ribs, salmon and brisket. good portion sizes and delicious. I had the fried chicken which was perfectly prepared. We left complimenting our food and experience. Highly recommend this gem in Brighton! read more

Good food. (4 stars) Great staff. (5 stars) The sour faced manager (1 star) with no personality nor professionalism needs to stay behind the scenes and not interact with the customers. She brought the rating average down to 3 stars for the otherwise great experience we were having. read more

Nice that the owner chose to answer other reviews but ignore mine. I guess cooking steak terribly wrong several times in a row isn't something they're too concerned with. Thanks so much for caring, guys!! read more

I've been here twice now on two different times of the day. First was a Saturday having brunch with a girlfriend and the other a Friday night date night. Both times the service was great! The ability to make online reservations was convenient. Mimosa with the caprese salad for lunchand I added blackened chicken, very flavorful! For date night I had the Decatur St. Filet and that was a perfectly cooked at medium rare. The mushroom risotto wasn't my favorite (kind of bland), but the French fried pickles were a hit for an appetizer! Unique drink options and modern ambiance. read more

when you have a reservation at a place for 7pm, your expectations are to have a decent table around that time for dinnwe. at bourbons, that is not the case. they could not care less about you. we were sat 45 minutes after our reservation at a table that was literallly in the waiting area and had everyone at every other table had to basically brush our table to get to theirs. on top of that, the moment we got our bill we were basically told to leave and that we were taking too long. one of the most insane experiences i have ever been through. there isn't a chance i would ever go back here. Complete freaks run this place read more

The food was amazing and moderately priced. The bourbon selection was fantastic! I had the shrimp and grits with an Angels Envy Cask Strength. I will be back to try the rest!! read more

Very good service. Great local beer selection(yes I know... boo @me for not ordering a bourbon). I think the prices were a little high but then again they are a new hot business. I also think they could include some descriptions on the bourbon and whiskeys since they do offer flights of 3 but I'd have no idea where to start... read more

Husband and I went here for date night and enjoyed the food and service. Our server was also the bartender. I think his name was slade and he provided the best service. read more

OK, this is the second time we've been there with family. First time was really good, this time, not so much. They screwed up a couple orders, and the service was mediocre at best. It took a really long time to get our food as well. For the price you pay on this, the service should be better especially when dealing with the larger group, put two people to it instead of one person who was also servicing two other large groups. It was an obvious understaffing situation but it shouldn't be and should be accounted for on a Saturday night. The crab boil was good, shrimp and grits seem to be a table favorite and was well liked. My meal, which I honestly don't even remember what I ordered, was obviously unmemorable. read more

First time at bourbons was for Sunday brunch, we initially were turned off by the lack of crowds inside the establishment (there were 4 other people, I guess we didn't need our reservation), but we thought we should see it through. The three of us couldn't decide what we wanted so we ordered 4 different things and shared them all. They were all fantastic and here they are ranked them from best to still great but not as great... 1. Bananas fosters waffle 2. Biscuits and gravy 3. Short rib Benedict 4. Huevos rancheros. The Bloody Mary was a bit watery. The ice water tasted good though, the lemon slices were too thin, but they worked. Service was great except our waitress definitely went outside and smoked a dart mid meal, the scent of smoke was potent on her breath when she came back to the table, I have no problem with smoking, but some gum or a breath mint would've gone a long way. Overall great spot read more

Came in from Denver to visit family so we made a reservation for 730 pm tonight. Waited until about 8 to ask staff if our table was ready .. they said it would just be a little longer. Finally at 820 after waiting 50 minutes we decided to go somewhere else. Also at least 10 people walked in without a mask and it was very crowded.... read more

I went there with a friend for dinner. I had the Mac & Cheese and was very disappointed. For a southern restaurant you'd think it would be amazing especially since it's offered as an entree. It had no flavor and seemed like they took premade noddles and tossed it with a flavorless white cheese sauce that was probably microwaved. Not what I expected for $14! My friend had the butternut squash ravioli which was good, but I'm basing my review on my food. Also, the wait staff wear clear mouth spit guards which are not an appropriate alternative for a COVID face covering. The top and sides are completely open. They may want to re-evaluate that. I know the couple next to us voiced their concerns over this and requested the waitress put on a mask. We were outside so I wasn't overly concerned, but if I were inside it would be concerning. read more

Service was excellent. Paul was our server and he was very attentive, and the other staff also helped throughout the evening which was nice to see. Paul accommodated us since we brought our 11 month old and brought him sweet potato mash and apple sauce for him free of charge, which was a nice touch! Drinks were great! Cajun lemonade had a bit of heat but not overpowering. Smoky manhattan and margaritas were also tasty, although didn't have a lot of smoke flavor to the margarita. Burnt pork belly ends were delicious, a good portion for sharing between 4 people. The bbq sauce that went with it was perfect. Not too sweet, vinegary or overdone. Went really well with the meat, cornbread and pickled veggies. My low country boil had great seasoning with a little kick, but not overpowering at all. Perfect balance of seafood and I appreciated that the potatoes were cubed so they took on more flavor. The braised short rib my hubby had was tender and juicy, some of the best we've had at a restaurant. The butternut squash ravioli was good, although we would've liked more brown butter sauce to go on top. Generous portion sizes My bro in law had the hummingbird cake which he said was moist and flavorful. Frosting was not overly sweet. We had the chocolate decadence which was rich but not overly heavy. Our only negative feedback would be that there's no changing table in the men's restroom. Please consider adding one. Dads change diapers too :). We'll be back for sure. Definitely worth a visit for a date night out or family dinner. read more

Great place, large menu for food and drinks, great atmosphere. A little loud so be warned if that is not your scene but worth it if you like good food, drinks and ambiance. read more

Love the outdoor setting and bourbon sours. Fried pickles highly recommended. We've returned many times. One of our Brighton 'go-tos'

Great food... enjoyed our lunch outside on the sidewalk!!! Excellent service from Katie S.

Had the burger with pimiento cheese, and chips. What I got was an open face burger (I'm ok with this) and fries. Half the pimento cheese was on the plate - not sure if the cheese melted off or was just runny. The bottom bun was about 1/16 thin - no good in my book. Fries were ok but the chips, which the waiter got for me seemed like the chips from the bottom of the bag-small. The pickles, tomato and lettuce was good as well as the top bun. I ended up eating the hamburger with a knife and fork because it could not hold shape and was just mush. I'm giving this a lower rating cause one of my guest had stomach pains well into the night. She had the salad and salmon. When I called and asked the manager if anyone else had issues, she seemed rather unsympathetic and short. Not exactly what I'd expect. Not sure if I'll go there anytime soon. read more

Great mushroom pizza! Great service. First time visit & enjoyed it very much! Can't wait to come again & sit outside.

Jambalaya and Bourbon Shrimp and grits fantastic. Fillet with mushroom risotto was also excellent.

Solid food, with a southern feel. Their craft cocktails are top notch. Been here a few times and everything we've ordered has been excellent. We will definitely be back. read more

This place has the best food! Especially brunch. Without a doubt you have to go at least once! The biscuits & gravy is incredible!

1 star is too much, can i give a 1/2 star. Well we decided too try 440 Main Street (thats the address....and by the way it was a great place too eat when it was 440 Main) which is now Bourbons. The service was ok, the food was a huge disappointment. Way over priced for the microwaved pork I got, at least that's what it tasted like. I ordered the 13 hour smoked pork, sub par not even pulled pork, they sliced it, no flavor. $17 for a salad with a small wedge of Salmon on it. And on a final note I paid $6 for a 10 oz pour of 2 hearted. Who serves 2 hearted in a snifter glass? Needless to say we can say we have been there, however, won't be going back and I don't recommend it. read more

2 Star food with a 5 Star price!!! Server was friendly but definitely rushed us and the indoor service area was almost empty. I am a great cook and it is frustrating to,pay $50 for 2 mediocre meals that don't even include a salad. Brighton has gotten pretty "upscale " and trendy with the restaurants. Doesn't equate with excellence for sure. read more

Way too noisy but the food (excluding the hockey puck biscuits) was delicious. May try a weeknight to see if it's quieter.

We decided to try Bourbons after driving by a few times. We were seated pretty quick (20 mins) on a Friday night. The food was incredible. Our waitress Patti was extremely friendly and took care of us well. Our food was ready fast also. But if you are coming here for the bourbon, I would not bother. Anything worth coming here for is charged at "market" cost which is BS and you will not know how absurd they overcharge you, if they even have a bottle. Missing anything rare, the selection was slim already and they were out of decent bottles. I asked for a flight of bourbons, they were out of all of them. So I ended up settling for your middle of the road bourbons you see on every store shelf. read more
