Food was not bad but the drinks were far overpriced! Bib and Tucker is $60 /bottle. They charged $40/2oz pour. 3 each among 2 of us and it was $240. I have sent this to all of our friends and they will no longer be going to bourbons either. Imagine a light dinner for 4 and you expect a $250 tab and it turns into $400+. read more

Bourbons - $60 bottle of bourbon that they charge $40 per 2 oz shot. 2 other places charge $12 & $14 for 2oz pours. - Southern Near Me - Brighton, Michigan

Drinks, food and service were all fantastic. We can't wait to return and will absolutely order the fig & pear pizza again.

When you walk in the rich aroma is the first thing to grab you, then you notice the warm ambiance and well appointed furnishings. The restrooms are clean as well. The staff are welcoming, patient & helpful. We had a wonderful server who didn't mind us asking a multitude of questions as it was our first time dining here. Our group of 4 all ordered different entrees and the clear winner was the fried chicken. We will happily return! read more

Excellent bruch and great service. Highly recommend the short rib eggs benedict. Always great on the weekends.

I am so glad to have Bourbons close to home! The food, drinks and friendly service make this a regular place to dine at. Between my husband and I, we've probably tried most of the things on the menu and have never been disappointed. I do wish the cocktail game was a bit stronger given the name of the restaurant; their cocktails are not consistent. If you order the same drink back-to-back, you'll likely get a different make on each one. I've also had this happen several times - I order Bulleit and get regular Bulleit, but get charged for the 10 yr. I asked the bartender about it last time I was there and he said they don't have it built into the computer correctly but it wouldn't be fixed because they wont be carrying it anymore. Huge disappointment because this is my favorite bourbon and I would think Bourbons would have this one stocked all the time. Nonetheless, I'll be back and am happy to support this local business. read more

Great food and atmosphere! Our group had multiple cocktails and ordered several different dishes; no one was left disappointed. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back. read more

12/19/2021 update: I answered the email Bourban's sent to me offering to make things right. They never responded. This makes me think their published response here was disingenuous . read more

Extremely disappointed in what was my go to restaurant... I can tell you that I am very saddened to walk into an empty restaurant and a packed bar top at 4:30pm on a Saturday and be told that there is not seating availability due to a "large party" coming in at 5:00pm. I mean at least they tried to squeeze my wife and I in at the bar top, to bad the "spots" could only fit my wife and not both of us. As a person that was going there on a very frequent occurrence this will happen no more. read more

Ok, for a lot of us we really want to love Bourbons. We are locals and we are happy to see something new open in this space. To start off- the prices. Totally what I expected, given the location and atmosphere. BUT. strong BUT- you have to deliver 100% at that price point. The house cocktails were in the $10-15 range, but fell short. Nothing special. Balances were off. Could improve over time. The food- pickle chips were decent, but batter was thick and dry. The portion seemed small for price. Not enough to share with 4 adults. Fried chicken itself was the best things I ate here. It came with a pink peppercorn syrup, which I thought was unique and different. The sweet potatoes were a fail, had an odd after taste to them. The black pepper biscuit totally clashed with the pink peppercorn on the chicken. Not sure how the two peppers go together, but it was an over load. I would love to see the black pepper biscuit shine on its own on another dish. Shrimp and Grits- quality of shrimp were great, large and cooked perfectly. But the dish itself, just strange. The shrimp weren't seasoned along with the rest of the dish. It was so bland. Portion too small for price point. It was missing spice and salt. Halfway thru our meal we noticed we had two shrimp and grit entrees come out missing an ingredient, some kind of bacon or crispy pork on top? Could be something great but for $20+ I would never order again. The waiter was nice and attentive, but had no personality. he was not knowledgeable about the menu, couldn't tell us anything about drinks/bar. It just did not seem like a good fit. All-in-all, I could stop in again for a beer/appetizer. I'm hoping to see this place work the kinks out and get even better. read more

Stopped in here today and felt like I had just stepped into Louisville, KY. The classy southern bar theme definitely is apparent in this establishment! From the awesome brunch menu to the well stocked bourbon list this place is a must! The friendly and helpful staff made the visit even better! I look forward to coming back here again! read more

Love this place I wish it was more reasonable price or of they had speical for food I'd go there more often. People are super friendly and a great environment read more

I have been to Bourbons multiple times and I always feel like I am eating at a friends house. Bourbons food is outstanding and the service is even better. My first visit was on my Anniversary after being treated poorly across the street and the staff saved the day! Every time We go to Bourbons (which has been 3 times since) we are treated like friends by our server and the manager! This is the best spot to go in Brighton and I will keep going, I will keep telling more people to go here and I will keep bringing my friends and family here! The best spot in Brighton! read more

Food is top notch. High-quality and creative dishes that do not disappoint. Service has been fantastic (shout out to our awesome server Paul!). Brunch was also fantastic. Also, the ambience is great. The restaurant interior has an upscale look to it while also being warm and welcoming. Perfect lighting and seating arrangements. Food Recommendations: For dinner: fig/pear/toasted pecan pizza For brunch: the banana bread waffle read more

Made a reservation one week in advance, our party of 8 arrived early to find out our reservation was lost. We were excited a new restaurant was in town but now Bourbons has lost all of our business as we could not be accommodated in the hour and a half we waited for us never to get seated. Extremely disappointed in your service. read more

Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Personally I love the Burnt Ends! Crave worth.

This place has great potential with their perfect Main St. location and fab decor, but unfortunately I will not be returning. The food is over-priced and mediocre. With so many other amazing restaurants in Brighton and surrounding cities, I won't be wasting my time or money here again. read more

So goood!! Great service, atmosphere, and the food and drinks are amazing. The old fashioned's are on point. The salmons dish is my favorite, but anything else I try doesn't disappoint. Will definitely return!! read more

We go to Bourbons a few times a month. We love the bar and the food even more. Great place to hang out. Friday and Saturday night tends to be very busy. So call ahead. read more

AMAZING!!! Katie was an absolute sweetheart who was so kind and made both my husband and my night! She was sweet and personable and was serving her entire section so perfectly she made it look easy! She even had time to make jokes and talk with what looks like ever table! I had the blueberry martini which is my new favorite drink it was so delicious and went so well with the ravioli. My husband got a mule with the fried chicken and he loved his! The portion sizes are so big too, we ordered an appetizer and couldn't believe how much food came with it! This dinner experience was so perfect and we cannot wait to come back! Definitely my new favorite restaurant! read more

First time here, waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu choices. Three of us got the luncheon salmon served with creamed corn puree, sweet potatoes, salmon cooked perfectly. Also had pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries. Wonderful flavor, excellent waitress. Little bit of a wait, probably wouldn't have seemed so long if we weren't so hungry. We will come back. read more

The food and service were great. Try the cajun lemonade (I think that is the name). I feel like the cocktails are priced high for the demographic. read more

Great food! The low country boil is so fun and delicious. They have an excellent bourbon selection but their lemon mule is my favorite cocktail ever! read more

Ordered the 14oz Ribeye steak cooked med-rare. It came out med-well and it had a brown gooey sauce on it, it looked and tasted like something out of their grease trap. The server took it back for a recook, The second steak was cooked welldone. I ask her to to take it off my bill because I did not eat one bite of the food. She said she could only take half off of a $30. dollar steak. If you are looking for a steak place, Bourbons is NOT the place to go. read more

Ok I'll start backwards, the Spanish Coffee was excellent! What a way to top of a wonderful dining experience! Fried pickles for a starter followed by a wonderful juicy burger. My friend had the Pulled Pork sandwich which he loved! Everyone was wonderful and the atmosphere was fantastic. My new place to dine! read more

Very good food and drinks and very nice people! Would definitely come back! And the atmosphere is amazing!

The environment is nice. Casual but upscale. The service was pleasant. Drinks good. There were 4 of us.The food was not good. In some cases barely edible. The fried chicken was overdone. Hunger resulted in biting the meat off the thick burnt crust. Way more breading than chicken. Hey change the oil occasionally. The mac n cheese was terrible. Melted cheese over penne. No flavor but smoke. Dry. Inedible. Wedge salad was floating in water and dressing. Fried pickle appetizer was very greasy. If we ever go again it would be too soon. read more

Went to lunch. I had jambalaya and my wife had a burger. Jambalaya was mediocre but my wife liked her burger. Also my wife had a Bloody Mary that was not very good. read more

I made a reservation a few weeks in advance because the two times I have visited prior, the place was packed.. and for a good reason! The food is amazing! While making the reservation the host was very polite and prompt. On the day of the reservation I arrived 15 minutes early and they had already set up the table expecting me and my 9 other guests. Our server, I believe her name was Jessica, was so kind and gave great suggestions on what to order. The food arrived in record timing and there were no complaints! Going out with that many people and not one person had a complaint is almost a miracle sometimes! I would highly recommend and definitely plan to be back in the near future. read more

I'll start with what is good about this place, first I got the creole cocktail and it was fantastic. Also the service was great. As for the food I'm less happy with, everything had nice presentation but as for taste I have a few criticisms. First we got the pork belly burnt ends they were swimming in so much bbq sauce it felt like they were trying to cover up some bad meat and then the meat was so hard it was like jerky which was not pleasant. Now we did tell our server and they did right away offer to make it right so that really made a big difference. Next I got the fried chicken, the dish is incredibly too sweet. I expected it to be a little sweet because of the honey but pairing that with sweet potatoes is way to much and it was really disappointing. All that says they haven't been open too long so might be better if I go again. For now wouldn't recommend for the food but totally would if you are just grabbing drinks. read more

I want to start by saying I give 5 stars for service- the staff were FANTASTIC. This was our first visit, probably not our last but here's my pros/cons of why I'm only giving 3 stars. Pros: decor was beautiful, brisket was delicious, fried chicken breast was good too and again, the service was friendly and fast. Cons: the music at a Southern style place was weird (Enya?), the cocktails were subpar for the price (please don't fill a Manhattan with ice, it's meant to be enjoyed over time and it just waters down the flavors), the pork belly burnt ends app was lukewarm and extra fatty (yes, pork belly has fat but if it's truly "burnt ends" a lot of the fat burns off, the side dishes were just ok but not like those I had while living in GA or visiting many other Southern states (it's like the ingredients were there but didn't quite capture the flavor). Lastly, and this was more of a personal preference than a "con"- the fried chicken was a large breast, no thigh, no leg, no wing...in the south you get the light and dark meat (at least 1 of each) so it was just weird getting a friend chicken breast (and it was very tasty and crispy). All in all we liked it. I thought the prices seemed to be average for this type of restaurant but expected it to be a bit more "Southern style" than we got. It's ok though, it's something different for the area and I think they'll do well there. read more

I am traveling from out of town and I stopped into this bar to have dinner and to grab a drink before I went back to my hotel. I had the burnt ends the fried chicken entrée and the blueberry Martini. All of which were excellent especially the blue martini. This service staff was very polite and friendly I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

This specific location has transformed over the years from a few different restaurant concepts, and Bourbons is the best yet! The new atmosphere of this place is awesome--offering unique, modern design elements and warm ambiance. Love the design of the leather drink menus and the drink offerings. It's very cool. The whole menu looks amazing and has several gluten free options, but we were only here for drinks and an appetizer. We ordered the Vidalia Onion Dip, and it was terrific. We will definitely be back for dinner! Great value for the price. read more

Good food, but pretty poor service. My family and I have been twice, once for dinner once for lunch. Initial greeting was very slow , drinks took way too long (they came out after eating our appetizers), and entrees came out at different times for our table. Considering how amazing Brighton Bar and Grill is ("sister" restaurant), we were disappointed overall. read more
