Boundary Stone is OUTSTANDING! My sons and I enjoyed an early dinner and it hit every mark - excellent service and food. It is obvious Team Boundary Stone loves their work. They take pride in their food and are cheerful. The bartender thanked us for coming in when he dropped off our drinks. Details matter and Boundary Stone pays attention. Their oysters are perfectly shucked and chilled. Their sauces were all delicious. We also enjoyed the mozzarella sticks and boneless wings to start. The boneless wings were made in house. As my son remarked, it may have been the best fried chicken he's ever had. For entrees, my sons ordered the burger, fried chicken sandwich and salmon BLT. All raved about their choices. The hot honey sauce was a crowd pleaser. I opted for the fish and chips. They are the best in the DMV. The fish was firm, perfectly fried, and the batter to fish ratio was genius. When I shared this with our waiter he humbly said, "We're Irish, we better be able to make good fish and chips..." Boundary Stone's neighbor are blessed to have such a great restaurant and bar in their "hood." I wish I was so lucky. We all agreed, we cannot wait for our next visit. read more

Def worth the price for 2 people. Went here on a date for 2 and it was perfect. $19 bucks for two people and it's unlimited brunch and mimosas. This is the breakfast place to go. The service was amazing and the lady was very helpful. Pretty much never touched the bottom of my mimosa because she kept pouring it in. A1 service from the helpful lady. I got the fried chicken and French toast. This is my favorite food all on one plate. The chicken was crispy and amazing. The French toast was prepared to perfection. My gf got the frittata, which was amazingly prepared as well. Her plate came with a tasty salad and toasted bread that were buttered to greatness. The potatoes we also got here GREAT. They were perfectly seasoned and its all I ever want in some home style potatoes for breakfast. This place was in a weird location but was worth every penny. Def coming back again. Brunch food was fantastic. The hot chicken eggs Benedict was incredible and will be getting it again without a doubt. Originally we sat outside but us and our food were attacked by flies so they moved us indoors. Drinks weren't anything special especially for brunch. Prices were also fine. It was all our first time there and everyone collectively agreed that the food was better than we expected and the bottomless drink option was actually a great deal(love that you could switch between mimosas and a spritz). Me and my roommates were looking for a bar that was showing the wizards vs warriors game (around 10:30 pm). We walked around for a bit till we found Boundary Stone. There was an event going on so most of the common area was full, and the tv's were playing different games since others had dibs on it. The bartender (Garett or Gareth) was extremely accommodating since he set us up in the back room with a tv to ourselves. Watching the game and drinking a milk stout nitro (Left Hand Brewing Co) was an awesome time. Steph Curry had 51 points so I'm glad we were able to check it out. Definitely will try to come back and try their food when the kitchen is open. read more

The best neighborhood bar. Awesome staff, great drink selections, and good food. Great place for live music and they engage with the local music scene. They renovated during the pandemic and flipped the stage around and its a much better flow. Scheduled events through out the week- trivia, open mic night, newly added bingo. Also a great spot to watch nfl football, they have a large projector in the stage area. Only down side is they are actually an Eagles bar :p. Also, menu is limited if you are vegetarian. read more

I've been here a few times for drinks and once for food. It's a pretty standard neighborhood bar, and it's got a decent drink selection. I like the outdoor patio area, and it's situated in an area that's not too busy. Unfortunately, their food is pretty mediocre. I've tried the fried pickles and the Honey Hot Chicken sandwich -- the pickles were soggy and salty, and the sandwich had a nice flavor but felt a bit wilty. So far this place has been the best dining experience in DC we've had and would definitely go back. Food was excellent and didn't wait too long , drinks from the bar were on point , waitstaff were very friendly and prices were reasonable considering. They do have an 18% gratuity tax to make sure their staff can make a living wage which I think is fantastic, we also left cash on top of that. I've been to Boundary Stone Public House a few times and really like it. The minimal decor is well-done with an old-school twist. It's super chill with an amazing whiskey list, plus good beer and wine. Service has been excellent. The website is decent, though could use some updated menus and a happy hour menu. The one thing I don't like is the food. I've had a few things (crostini, quesadilla, and chicken sandwich) and have been sorely disappointed. I've found everything quite bland, not well executed, and small portions. So, 4 stars for drinks and ambiance, but more like 2.5 for the food. And while I won't begrudge their popularity, it does get crowded. It's definitely a great choice though, just eat before or after. read more

Came here with my GF and two sisters as the first leg of a Saturday out and about. I emailed the Restaraunt for a reservation and they were very attentive and allowed be to alter my reservation via email. The ambiance of the Restaraunt is great. Two separate inside rooms and patio seating. The Restaraunt has a lot of natural elements to its decor, and the music was chill and perfect for enjoying a conversation. Food was great. Most of us got the fried chicken and French toast. Chicken came out crispy and juicy, and French toast was thick but not too soggy. Also got bottomless mimosas which ended up being a good deal. Service was fine. Not horrible but not above and beyond. Mimosa refills were decent, but took a little while for our food. We got sat right away when we arrived. All in all a good spot for a delicious brunch that isn't over the top expensive and a good value bottomless mimosa. Will consider coming back read more

Went here on a very cold night in January, inside they had the temp at about 60-62 degF so we had to keep coats and scarves on. Two people, two beers, two burgers, two fries became $75 after mandatory 20% tip. Boundary Stone is situated between the boundary of NE and NW and hence the name of the Resto-bar. This is a major hipster joint, but in a good way. There are other hipster joints in the DMV that are just pretentious but this place is the real deal. Although on the weekends, there's plenty of hipster activity, there is a varied crowd, which is always good. I've been here on both the weekdays for lunch and weekends for dinner and whether it's day or night, I've always had a great time. In fact, I brought my Mexican and French friends here when they were in town and they loved it. I would probably go there more often for the food except it is somewhat out of my way and I hate driving on Rhode Island avenue because of the speed or red light cameras in DC. We needed a bite to eat and walked over to Boundary Stone. I and the honey chicken wings and I am obsessed with wings. These were REALLY good. I appreciate a great restaurant with great wings. I also had the guava beer and that was delicious as well. My friend had the burger and the mozzarella sticks. This was a great pick and the outdoor patio was nice! I would definitely recommend coming back here. I've heard great things before but I finally got to see what my friends were talking about. Our waiter was really nice and the space was very casual and not loud at all. Apparently they have a live band, but not the night we went. I enjoyed my experience here. Boundary Stone was great! I went with 2 friends for bottomless brunch. This deal is one of the best in the city. Just $17 for *strong* bottomless mimosas that keep flowing. The server never let it go empty, and I really appreciate that. Most places I have to bug the server for a refill. I ordered the brunch burger. The egg was cooked perfectly and it was overall a great burger. However, I asked for it to be cooked medium and it was very well done. That was disappointing. My two friends ordered the chicken and waffles and the huevos rancheros. I tried both and they were great. I would definitely order the chicken and waffles when I go next time. Overall Boundary Stone is a great find. It wasn't too crowded or too loud and it was a nice casual, comfortable vibe. I hope it doesn't become more popular :) read more

We ordered: Hot wings: super flavorful and comes with tasty homemade blue cheese sauce. Texas french toast: get this. Mouth wateringly fluffy with the perfect amount of crunch. Deviled eggs: nothing amazing but super tasty. Yogurt granola: ratio was off but overall delicious. They offer a pretty solid bottomless mimosa deal at $14. I give them points for their champagne to OJ ratio, and they come back immediately for refills. Not into minosas? They also make a mean Irish coffee. This pub is a great gem in the center of the Bloomingdale neighborhood. The brunch menu/options are excellent, and the food is delicious. I came with just one friend for a casual Sunday brunch and ordered the BLT. Thinking the dish would be smaller than it was, I was quite surprised when a fairly large platter came out. The BLT itself was topped with an egg and came with a pickled green tomato, which was a nice twist. It was somewhat of a mess to eat, but definitely tasty. I had a bloody mary as well, which was quite spicy (if you don't love spicy bloody marys I'd suggest asking for it not to be extra spicy), but overall it was good. Service was good as well, although neither of us ordered a lot of different dishes or multiple drinks, so we didn't keep our waiter too busy. I would not say I was "blown away" by any one particular element of this place, but overall very solid option, and it is a little more low key than the typical DC bottomless brunch place. read more

Came here on a Sunday evening for dinner with a couple of friends. Our server ( I don't remember her name) was great. She was very attentive and gave us some great recommendations. We started out with the fried pickles which were wayyyyy too salty. Two days later, I'm still chugging water from those pickles. They were also not fried enough. The deep fried must've not been hot enough so some of them were soggy. I got the al pastor quesadilla, which was good but nothing special. My friends got the hot chicken sandwich. I had a bite and while I love fried chicken, it just felt heavy and the lettuce was sad and wilted. My other friend got The braised short rib which looked delicious but the portion size was small. We got bread pudding for dessert which was probably my favorite part of the meal. A scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of a moist delicious bread pudding - yum! I'll come back, maybe not for food but for drinks. read more
