Came here to watch a Monday night football game and was pleasantly surprised. I got the fried shrimp & fried catfish with fries and it was amazing. The seafood was fresh and fried to perfection. The service was great and the vibes were great with everyone being invested in the football game.

The front - The image depicts the storefront of Jake's Tavern, a bar with a black-painted exterior and decorative yellow accents around the windows. The illuminated sign hangs above the entrance, and a large front window reveals the interior, which includes a bar area and seating. A sidewalk signboard displays menu items and promotions. The scene is lit by exterior lighting, and a tree partially obscures the upper right corner of the image.

I'm so glad I ended up at this spot!!! What a find! The bartender was awesome. She was super nice and helpful. The place was not crowded at all. We came here because the burger place we went turned us away due to be full. So we walked and found this spot. I ordered the Jake's Crush in orange. It was so refreshing and so good. I also ordered the Sloop Burger and added Bacon. Let me tell you. This was one of the best burgers I ever had. The guacamole and Mayo was spilling out....so good!! The fries....amazing! I don't know what kind of fries and how they cook them but they are awesome! My son loved his Ace Burger. We were stuffed. If you are looking for a chill spot with friends without a huge crowd...and some amazing burgers....go here!!

Jake's is a small neighborhood sports bar with a nice backyard patio. It's a good spot to grab a beer with friends, watch a game or hang on the outdoor patio. Pros - friendly staff (Marissa and chris were great) - solid wings - good bar food - good beer selection - dog friendly patio (they'll even bring you water for your furry friends) - outside TV Cons - could use music in the back patio Overall, i recommend Jake's for a casual drink with friends and some solid bar food. The outside patio is a nice bonus if you have a dog or feel more comfortable during covid.

Water dripping from the air conditioner - A wall-mounted air conditioner is visible in the upper part of the image, with water dripping from its vent. The wall appears to be in the process of repair or maintenance, as indicated by the black plastic sheet taped to the wall beneath the unit. The plastic sheet covers part of the wall and is secured with tape, with some paper or cloth at the bottom edge. The setting suggests ongoing maintenance or an attempt to contain water leakage.

Cute little bar, ended up going into here when the beer garden down the street was busy. The drinks are decent - the lemon drop shots are good but the green tea shots weren't. There is indoor and outdoor seating, there were dogs outside. The bathrooms were large and clean. Be careful when walking though, the air conditioner was dripping a lot so the floor around was soaked in water

Jake's - a new neighborhood bar that opened recently on 7th. The space is nice, long bar, some tables and lots of TVs. Drafts and wine (and maybe cocktails) are $1 off during HH. Food is ok, not great. Fried pickles were my favorite, mozz tots (fried mozzarella bites) came out cold and were served with a sauce that tasted like a salsa/marinara mix, and chorizo cheese fries were underwhelming (cheese sauce and bad chorizo on thick cut fries). Overall, a fine spot to go for a drink, but they still need time to get the kitchen sorted.

Trashy tavern with rude service - The image shows the front window of Jakes Tavern, with the business name prominently displayed in yellow lettering. The window is decorated with blue snowflake decals, indicating a winter or holiday theme. A sign at the bottom advertises happy hour, food, and drinks. The reflection in the window reveals a street scene with parked cars, a person taking the photo, and buildings across the street. The interior of the tavern is faintly visible through the glass.

I actually really liked this place. It's definitely a little bit of a dive bar, but they have gold fish, and the beer is fresh.

No. We do allow private parties to bring desserts or specialty foods related to the theme, i.e the birthday girl’s favorite noodle dish.

The wall shows some of the drinks on the menu and the ingredients/glass it comes in which I thought was a nice touch. Bartenders were friendly but not too chatty as they were super busy but you never waited long for a drink. The bourbon drink with the whipped honey was our favorite but the gin drink that was pink was also fantastic. For food I did try the buffalo chicken dip, pretty large and tasty (not too spicy) and loved the super crisp celery and the fritos. Clean, trendy bathrooms, nice vibes throughout the whole spot for pictures, great for a night cap or pre-dinner drink.

Our bartender was Gaylan and he was great--had great reccs, laughed with us a bit, all around great guy. The 'let me just say this' was so soo good! It tasted like a rainbow--just bright and with a really delicious after taste. I should have stopped at the rose but after my trying my friend's, i had to have one! We initially came for happy hour, but moved to the cocktail menu. The hh was a bit limited, but the drinks were priced overall pretty reasonably for the area. My one complaint is the wine glasses were so teeny. Overall though, I would recommend this bar. Bonus: cheese balls when you sit down! I believe there is also a limited food menu (think nachos) for the after work or late night crowd.

The drinks tasted watered down and unbalanced. The banana flavor in mine was dull and overripe rather than fresh and vibrant. The smoke and fire presentation was nice, but the actual cocktails did not justify the $25 price point. The restroom was unacceptable. There was urine on the floor, a strong foul odor, and the surface was slippery. For a speakeasy positioning itself as upscale, this was a major miss. The space is very small and service was just okay. Overall, the concept has potential, but the execution did not meet expectations. I will not be returning.

Jordan and the team were incredibly knowledgeable about both the drinks and food menu, offering suggestions that perfectly matched our tastes. Ambiance: from the outside you'd have no idea that a hidden treasure awaits you up a flight of stairs. The decor was very mysterious, perfectly dimmed, and sexy. They added greenery near the hostess station to create what I would describe as an exotic/jungle vibe. This area also contained a beautiful small bar and a few cozy seatings. Next, the hostess led us to a table inside where the magic of candles, cozy tables, and intimate booths immediately meets your eyes. Did I mention that we sat in most comfy green velvet chairs in our cozy booth? How sexy! Service: our waiter, Jordan, was the best! He provided great service and recommendations. However, shoutout to the rest of the staff because it was truly all hands on deck. Drinks: the bartender is indeed a mixologist! There is no question of the magic he created in a glass. Her drink- I ordered the Attractive Nuisance, an elevated spritz. The drink was perfectly balanced with flavors to include G.H. Mumm Champagne, Avua Prata Cachaca, Cocchi Americano, Saffron, Vanilla. I literally tasted all the flavors in the drink and the liquor ratio was just right. Of course I went with another round, you simply have to try it understand why I did. His drink: El Tiburón-Let's just say that he said that this is now one of his favorite cocktails because it was smooth! Small bites: the kitchen was out of mussels and their famous donuts so we decided to try the Franks en Crute, the sexy adult version of pigs in a blanket lol. Such a delicious treat, well balanced flavors giving both sweet (flaky puff pastry) and savory (well grilled wagyu beef). Definitely recommend. The music was perfect for the evening! The bar was filled with all matured folks enjoying their group meets or dates, the atmosphere welcomed all. As I stated earlier, this has now become a regular on the list and I'm excited to visit again.
