We came here for lunch for our first visit. We were surprised by the amount of people for early Monday afternoon. Once we sat at a table and met our server we started to understand why. Was just there. My boyfriend was taking me out for Friday night fish. Love your blue gill dinner. Always good and service has always been great! TIL now!!!!! We were seated and no one came over. There were only 4 tables with patrons. We never got anything from a server saying hold on. Nothing. We never got water or a drink. Not a damn thing. We arrived at 4. We were early. We could see the waitstaff and an older women /owner talking by the kitchen. If it was a meeting, you think it would be prior to service hours. Instead saw giggling and laughing. They would look at our table, but no one came over. Two went to the bar and went to other tables...but nothing. It was the worst service I've had! Will not be back. Had Friday Fish Fry. Our fried bluegill and cod were very good. One in our party had baked Cod and the butter/oil that it was baked with fell short with a bad taste, and would not recommend. Staff was very nice and were working hard! Got there around 6:00pm and waited 15 minutes which wasn't bad. Prices were reasonable. Looking for a place to eat and found with the help of yelp. This place was packed...come to find out the front of the business is the banquet area and an event was taking place. I parked in the back...when entering off the street make a left and go to the back. The place is rustic and good sized. I chose to sit at a table vs the bar. I ordered the steak sandwich on a Kaiser roll with a side salad instead of the fries or onion strings...eating healthy. The sandwich was pretty good just a little too much grilled diced onions for me...so I took some out. I added some A1 sauce and went at it. I ordered a side salad with raspberry vinaigrette. Good greens... no iceberg...cuc's, diced tomatoes and red onions with croutons...I passed on the cheese. Pleasantly surprised. Comfort food at its best. Really great "bar food". The menu is reminiscent of a bar's, but it matches the vibe (and the actual bar ). We had the fried pickles, cheese curds, chicken strips with fries, burger, and salad/soup. All the food was exceptional; even more so considering the price tags. The very best were the chicken strips with the Devil's Lake sauce and the fries with the Parmesan ranch seasoning. We had excellent food, great service and the atmosphere was rustic cabin. I highly recommend the cheese curds, grilled smothered chicken wrap, the tipsy canoe burger with tater tots. Stopped in mid-evening for dinner. Pace was packed with what looked to be a regular lively crowd, quite personable. Ordered the grilled chicken salad, one of the better ones I've had. This was my first time at Boundaries and I really hope it wasn't my last. I have family in the area and was visiting for a birthday celebration. A family member had made reservations at Boundaries about a week prior. We get there early and have a couple drinks and noticed the time had passed from our reservation. We informed one of the bartenders and unfortunately their hostess was not there so we were accidentally skipped. It was already a very busy night at Boundaries with many people at the bar and many of the tables already taken. But they acted quickly, threw some tables together and we got seated very quickly. We could tell that they were understaffed that evening. Many of us have worked in the hospitality business and we absolutely understand when these things happen. We got our orders in and after a very minor wait, we got our food. It was hot,it was delicious, it was cooked perfectly. I want to commend the staff for working so hard last evening and being very sincere and nice. We all collectively agreed that this will not be the last time we will be dining at boundaries. When you go, get the deep fried pickles, they were delicious!!! Best ones I've ever had. read more

I got food poisoning from the chicken tenders and the ranch tasted sour I don't recommend this place to anybody they took forever maybe if some actual adults worked there it could be better and less mess ups not to mention it's pretty out of the way for people time to close!! read more

In the middle of the 2020 Covid lockdown, I had dinner at the restaurant. It took a minute to realize that the restaurant entrance was on the lower level in the rear, but I noticed the property was well maintained and attractive. Upon entering the bar section, I was surprised by how fun and current the interior decor is. My meal was very satisfying and delicious. The service was excellent. Most of all, this was the first place I had gone to in months where people were enjoying themselves. I highly recommend this establishment. read more

Bar/restaurant with good service and hearty good. Went for the Friday fish (it's a midwestern thing year round), the large pieces of beer battered cod was flaky and delicious, another in our group tried the blue gill, delicate filets cooked perfectly with that fresh water fish flavor truly yummy. There is nothing we don't love about this place! Atmosphere is great being tucked away under an event hall the windows look out into a forest. The wait staff is friendly and prompt, we have never waited long to eat. The Friday fish fry is amazing! Bluegill and cod are both fried to perfection, and you have plenty of yummy potato options. Great waitress recommended the special which was a grilled shrimp wrap with fries. The wrap was terrific: a little spicy, a nice amount of shrimp, fresh lettuce with a enough sauce that you notice it but it doesn't overwhelm the shrimp. The fries are twice fried terrifically crunchy. The service at Boundaries is great. Our waitress checked to make sure we were happy with the wrap, made sure we had an extra plate so we could easily split our lunch and topped of our drinks when needed. read more

I ordered food for pick up and did not eat it right away, so I cannot give accurate review but it was better than expected heated up. The fried cod and potato wedges was great. The reuben didnt look as good as expected but heated in oven later, not microwave, was better than expected. It wasnt lean thin corned beef you would expect like from Jewish deli in major metropolis like LA, Chicago, NYC, Philadelphia, but it wasnt bad. It was just a couple thick slices with some fat on edge, easily removed or kept for taste, probably from wholesaler and not homemade. Some restaurants build around a good brisket of corned beef, but this is not their specialty. But the fish and chips was what you would want to find at English/Irish pub, meaty cod and nice breading, and thick cut potato wedges, not greasy. read more

We are so happy with our experience we had here at Boundaries yesterday. We ate lunch in thier downstairs resturant which is a great newly remodeled area we learned. It is a big open area, very clean inside, offers lots of space. They did a real nice job! This place was very busy when we stopped for lunch. I had thier Volcano Nachos, my wife had thier BLT combo, and our daughter had the chicken strips and fries. My brother did the half order of nachos. Thank gosh he did the 1/2 order because this was a huge portion. Everything came out hot, fresh, and seasoned just right. We will be back to try the Prime Rib and some of thier different dinners options. Everyone kept mentioning this places Prime Rib. Now we know why they are so busy. All the staff is friendly and smiling as they work. We enjoyed our conversation with our waitress gal. We will be back again soon! read more

The atmosphere was great. The barn and heavy timber theme made for a comfortable place to eat. The server was prompt and greeted us with a smile. The server was patient as we were not sure what we wanted from the menu. The burger was delicious, and the drinks were cold. Reasonably priced and a good selection of quality prepared food is worth the trip. As a bonus, the evening Lions were meeting here. Had over 180 people for our 40th Class Reunion. The bar food has always been pretty good but the banquet food was horrible. The beef was good, chicken was bland and dry, the boxed augratin potatoes were dry and tasteless and the salads sucked. We paid $19 per plate and it was embarrassing to serve that at our reunion. If you are planning a wedding reception or reunion, look elsewhere. Plus we only had one slow bartender for most the night for that many people, Took 15 mins and more to get a drink. He had a helper once in awhile, then he would disappear. I'll make sure we won't be back for our 50th! read more
