Found this place while looking for a Friday fish special. And this delivers! All you care to eat either walleye (my fave!) or cod. Our server was brand new on the job, but she did very well. Here is my short, sweet, and honest review of Firehouse Pub. This one is a long time coming. First I must say I have respect for the Prosser family having grown up going to the Hoffman House every week. Unfortunately, the Firehouse Pub lacks any of the quality the other restaurants once held. The mixed drinks were weekly poured and over priced. The fish I ordered was $15.99 for all you can eat. One would think that's a bargain until you realize you only get 4 little nuggets that are over cooked with soggy fries. Ordering more fish took ten to fifteen minutes to get 2 more tiny nuggets that again were overcooked. The best thing in the bar was the popcorn which looked like the staff neglected to check on since the beginning of dinner service. All of these things can be a day to day issue or overlooked, but what earned this establishment the low rating was its cleanliness. MULTIPLE times I have gone to find dirt, cobwebs, leaking ceilings with buckets on tables, and bugs waiting to greet me. Tonight I found ants crawling on the bar while eating my food. In all, I want to love this bar but there are simply too many better options out there that know how to clean and pour better drinks at an affordable price. Food was ok. Service was good. We used the back entrance, not sure if we should have used the front for a different experience. Went on a Friday night, not sure if it's a sit yourself or what type of place (we sat ourselves.. didn't see any host or anything or anyone waiting to be sat for that matter). Ordered the wings for an app, they were ok. Had the fish and broasted chicken and my partner had a steak sandwich. Nothing overwhelmingly good like we need to come back again right away. read more

We had a quick lunch at the Firehouse Pub. Very nice inside. Menu had burgers, wraps, salads, pizza, and a great selection of sandwhiches. The bake beans were so good as a sidedish. Our waitress was really nice and checked on us often. We were waited on right away. They were busy but plenty of seating. This is a nice place to visit and relax on a Saturday afternoon. I would recommend this place if you are driving through Roscoe. Looks like there is outdoor seating. Parking lot on the side of the building. read more

We live in Roscoe and this is our go to mainly because we LOVE their artichoke dip! It comes with this delicious bread and is to die for. My only complaint is a few times it's had jalapeños in it. I can't do anything spicy so I'm not sure why sometimes it has them but most the times it doesn't. I also get the potato skins every time. Love them. Customer service is always good. read more

Would love to give 0. Quite possibly the worst restaurant, server and food I've ever had or been to. Service took forever, multiple times I tried to leave but my wife would not let us. When we finally got our food it was not good, son ordered boneless wings and literally got the driest (like cardboard) chicken breast cut into square chunks I've ever had. Then I tried my giant fried chicken sandwich. Wow it was even dryer then the fake wings. I took a bite added more mayo still unbearable. Add more mayo and just couldn't even chew it. It was horrible. My oldest daughter ordered a smash burger without mustard and onions and it came with mustard. She got part it by adding so much ketchup you really couldn't tell there was meat. My youngest daughter ordered grilled cheese kids meal with tots. She did receive a warm cheese sandwich but as she described it, this is NOT a grilled cheese it looks like they left out in the Sun to dry the bread out. My son took 2 bites of his wings, my youngest daughter never touched her dried out cheese sandwich, Mr oldest daughter scraped the bun off multiple times to remove the mustard and I took 1 bite and spit out my sons fake wings and took 2.5 bites of my terrible giant chicken sandwich. You may wonder why we didn't get anything replaced, well that's the service problem we saw our server to get menus, get drinks then wait 20 minutes to order food then wait 20 minutes to get it food then we didn't see her for 30 minutes and I was finally able to tell her what was wrong. My experience was okay. First off, I walked into the restaurant expecting a great atmosphere, however I could smell a stench so powerful that I was going to leave. Instead I gave grace only to find out there was a couple of dead bugs on the window stills and flies everywhere. Could see dust in some areas, could use some deep cleaning. The waitress did an amazing job and the food tasted phenomenal. However, my mom ordered a chicken cob salad and it came back with a cob salad. My family and i have been coming here for years. Mainly for the half priced wings on Wednesday's. They have the best, most flavorful, crispy, delectable wings in the area for such a deal! We've tried their salads, fried pickles, burgers and honestly everything is such a great quality. You can serve yourself popcorn that's popped fresh daily while you wait for your food, or we typically just get take away food and bring it home ! They have great daily specials, the are great for large groups, birthday parties, family dinners, date night, or just carry out. They have so much seating, and the staff is always very accommodating. First time here last night lets say between 6::30-7 on a Friday night. Place is very cozy and has a nice vibe to it. Front and rear entrance with two nice pool tables in the rear. The server promptly came to use once we were in our seats with menus and took our drink orders. My husband has food allergies and she went to the kitchen to ask if any of the allergens are in what he wanted, some servers can be annoyed by having to do this. I order the Roscoe chicken melt which was good but nothing fantastic. As we here leaving we were shortly inconvenienced by a drunk guy at the bar - at 7:30 and I head a woman throwing up in the ladies room while I was in there. Stopped by for lunch while in the area and it turned out to be good. Ordered up some wings because other reviews saying they were good and we would agree. Cooked nearly perfectly and had good flavor. For some reason they only give you a tiny amount of dressing, either bleu cheese or ranch, so you have to ask for more. As for the meal, we ordered Italian beef, grilled chicken, and a burger. All were good. The fries were very tasty. As for the service it was okay. We asked, and it turns out, the firehouse was an actual firehouse back in the day. read more

I have been here several times. Each time I've gone it's always busy, that's a good sign right? I've had the boasted chicken dinner, the chicken sandwich, a chicken ceasar wrap. Wednesday's are wing days, 50% which is so awesome. One of the best I've had. All the food is fresh and cooked to perfection. The fries especially, they must be very healthy, I'm sure. ;) Service has always been friendly and attentive. I love the ice tea here. Free popcorn. What more can I say. We came here for their Friday night fish fry and I am typically not a "Friday night fish fry" kinda gal but their fish fry was deeeeelicous! The best fish fry I've ever had at any restaurant. So they had a couple options for the fish fry: AYCE fried cod OR walleye, baked cod or walleye and then the baked haddock dinner. I got the baked haddock dinner, and it was SO good I want to come back every Friday night just for that. It came with drowned butter, coleslaw, and corn bread. The corn bread that came with the meal was even good, usually whenever I have it at places it is dry, but this one was not dry whatsoever it was very soft and eatable. I like how you have 2 options of what kind of AYCE fish to choose from because it's usually cod and I'm not a big fan on cod, and that had great flavor as well. We also tried the cheese curds as an app and it came in a cute little basket. The service was great as well..I wanted a sangria and the server said they didn't have one but the manager politely came over and told me they could make me one..honestly the sangria wasn't the best but it was the thought that counts and I appreciated the kind gesture! My husband and I often come to firehouse on a night away from the kids. The food keeps us coming back, but the service has been so bad at times that we have walked out after 10 min or more of not being served. Sit at the bar if you're able, best and fastest service comes from there. Their wings and onion strings are very good and we haven't ordered much that we didn't like. read more

There were 10 of us that went in on a Friday and everything was fantastic! We arrived around 6:15/6:30 and was seat yourself. We were able to find a larger table and grab a couple of extra chairs. Each of the 5 couples was on a separate ticket and most of us did the AYCE fish. Danielle was our waitress and was amazing!!! She was quick to bring refills on drinks and fish. I've been to the Firehouse enough times over the years to state their food and service is typically decent, but it's been a year since I've been there up until today's experience. I stopped in with my daughter for lunch and had a shaved prime rib sandwich. About 3 bites in, I noticed there was a big, black hair sticking out of my meal which was disgusting. I shared the information with our waitress, who was apologetic and offered to remove the sandwich from the bill. If this were my business, I would have done a bit more and perhaps comp'd the rest of the ~$20 food bill in hopes of encouraging my customer to return. Confirming suspicions, the cook indeed has black hair and I understand a facial hair net might be helpful to prevent future food contamination. read more

Firehouse Pub is a great neighborhood sports bar with televisions everywhere, friendly waitstaff and some of the best chicken wings in town! I usually only go on Wednesday's for their Wing special. They have so many flavors, but my favorites are the Garlic Parmesan and the Asian Orange and they are only 50 cents each! I usually order 10, because you have to order in increments of 5.
